After installing the batteries in the proper sequence, the unit reads the remote station's data once, then tries to get the exact time from the Atomic Clock via radio signal. If it can't find the signal, it tries every two hours until it does, and you can set the time manually. Mine found the AC radio signal after about four hours, now the time is exactly correct. Could I get help from the company. Forget about it -- they never replied to any of the channels I tried. So I thought: Great, they'll never get my business again. Sell your stock, if you have any. So far, everything works well. Plus, unlike the Davis unit, this one seems unaffected by the fact the signal has to travel through three potentially interfering barriers -- a tree and its branches, my front porch plexiglass and then an eight-inch thick cypress log wall. The manual warns that obstructions might hamper the transmission, but no problem here. The old Davis couldn't see the outdoor unit, so I had to keep the console on the front porch. Now, however, I can have it next to my big easy chair. Nice. My Davis Vantage Vue wind direction also never seemed right. The Ambient unit has a calibration mark on the body of the unit. Once pointed properly, it gave correct readings. Temperature is correct to within a degree of other thermometers I have. Rain gauge is untested as I write this. If it lasts three years, I figure I'm way ahead. Could get the same results purchasing a cheaper version. Please try again later. Rivers 2.0 out of 5 stars It is easy to set up and the default settings for temperature, humidity and rainfall are fairly accurate. There is no barometer with this unit, so keep that in mind when considering this weather station. The display for this model is poor. Outdoor temperature is smaller than humidity, which I find odd. Also, my display unit recently stopped working and I had to get it replaced. The display does look nice and fits easily on a shelf and is not prominent if hung on a wall. I would advise you not to buy this unit unless you want a cheap rain gauge with the ability to give you the temperature. I would either spend more money to buy a quality all-in-one station or good separate instruments for temperature, rain, wind, etc. If you just want the basics I would go with a cheaper model. I have had less expensive units that outperformed this one. Please try again later. Please try again later. JRC 1.0 out of 5 stars Assuming it would be OK (big mistake), I shipped it to Honduras where we live and saved it as a Christmas present. When my wife opened the outside box, the pieces were just in the egg carton holding the bits--not in any kind of original packaging. We hoped that potentially it had been repaired before it had been resold, but the remote sensor is truly dead, so the whole concept of the weather station is not possible. This item was bought in good faith being described as used but in new condition when in fact it was used and unusable. Since this was kept as a Christmas present, we only discovered the damage yesterday and now it is past the return time.http://asyasunger.com/images/canon-powershot-a520-repair-manual.pdf In addition, since we live in Honduras, returning it would have been very inconvenient and expensive anyway. I have never bought a produce online as misrepresented and disappointing as this. Please try again later. Please try again later. Chuck Higgins 2.0 out of 5 stars Second one is ok so far. But placing it in the sun, which is required to get wind readings, it's horribly inaccurate due to solar heating. To really find the temp outside, you can't use this thing in the daytime. I don't know if others are more insulated from the sun, but I suggest for temp only, buy a cheaper unit and put in the shade. The wind reading when the wind is howling shows a really low, inaccurate level. Winds get to 50 mph with sundowners in Ca. 6 mph on my display just ain't cutting it.Please try again later. Please try again later. C. Susan Minx 5.0 out of 5 stars We found it simple to assemble with the exception of the VERY small screw and tab that hold the cover over the battery compartmnent. That was a struggle. After that, the most difficult thing was waiting for the clock to update;-) We are very happy with the display and the information provided. We have yet to experience the 'rain gauge' - however, we did 'test' it and all seems to be working well. We would purchase this item again and we would recommend it to others. Please try again later. Please try again later.I will be returning it today. Setup was easy and straight-forward and, when it works, it's good. However, the indoor console does not update more than 3 or 4 times per day and usually displays only dashes for outdoor temp, wind speed and rain. Some days, it never works at all. I have moved both the outdoor array and the indoor console about a dozen times, even placing the console outside within 15'(line of sight) of the sensor array with no obstructions between them and still have only dashes about 90 of the time. Batteries are lithium and are new. One good thing.returning the product for a refund is easy and much appreciated! Please try again later. Please try again later. Will The Thrill 1.0 out of 5 stars It is easy to set up. Well packaged. But It is not built for any areas that happen to adverse weather conditions, i.e. Breezy or high winds or lots of rain. It's probably a good unit for Arizona. The rain gauge sometimes works. The wind gauge is sporadic. Also the delay in seeing the readings are up to 45 seconds. So if your watching the wind cups spinning madly while watching display. You have to keep staring at it from anywhere from 20 to 45 seconds later it will be displayed to you. Oh and the clock will keep good time for a couple of hours. Then it updates itself from Colorado Radio Frequency bouncing of the ionosphere and at 2500 miles away it's not getting a good reception. So needless to say the clock function for as far away as Alaska is not good. Like I said unit is good for a fair weather state. I'm going to box it back up and return it.Have to up grade to a different brand and it costs 355.00. Oh well it's a good one with 2.5 second delays. I can live that:)Please try again later. Audi has since unveiled a third SUV model, the Q3, which went on sale in the third quarter of 2011, and a fourth SUV model, the Q2, which went on sale in November 2016. The Q7 shares a Volkswagen Group MLB platform and chassis with the Bentley Bentayga, Lamborghini Urus, Porsche Cayenne and the Volkswagen Touareg.Previewed by the Audi Pikes Peak quattro concept car, the Q7 is designed more for on-road use, and was not meant for serious off-road use where a transfer case is needed.Design work was frozen for the Concept in July 2002, for presentation at the North American International Auto Show in January 2003. Following the introduction of the concept, full-scale development began on Typ 4L of the PL71 platform.Prototypes went into testing in 2004, with development concluding in the first half of 2005. It introduced the world's only series production passenger car V12 TDI diesel engine. While the Q7 has been the flagship SUV in Audi's product portfolio, a top-of-the-line coupe model, called the Audi Q8, was released for sale in 2018. It debuted in its concept form at the 2017 Detroit auto show.Official tests to prove this remain to be done as of March 2009.Nissan's Infiniti marque had been using Q as the name for passenger cars (the Q50 ) and QX for SUVs (the QX50 and QX70 ) since 2013.The agreement stipulates that Audi will only use the Q-prefix for three models, the Q3, Q5 and the Q7.Certain models now achieved upwards of 37 MPG IMP. New Engines include 2 3.0 supercharged engines. One of the supercharged engines puts out 272 hp (203 kW) and 295 lb?ft (400 N?m) of torque. The other engine which is found on the S-line prestige Q7 puts out 333 hp (248 kW) and 325 lb?ft (441 N?m) of torque and is the twin of the engine found in the S4 and S5 cabrios. These engines replaced both the 3.6 and 4.2 L gasoline engines. Both engines have the same fuel economy.Audi Connect also offers in-car WiFi connectivity for up to 8 devices.Available models include 3.6 FSI quattro and 4.2 FSI quattro. The base version develops 272 hp (203 kW) (280 hp (209 kW) for 2012) and 295 lb?ft (400 N?m) of torque, while the S-Line has 333 hp (248 kW) and 325 lb?ft (441 N?m) of torque.A 6 speed manual transmission was offered only in Europe on the first generation Q7 with the 3.6 liter engine. From 2010 (2011 model year in the U.S.), 8-speed automatic transmission is standard. It comes with two-tone paint as standard, which highlights the front splitter, side skirts, wheelarches and rear diffuser in anthracite., a range of mild-hybrid powertrains and refined chassis. The HD Matrix LEDs and Audi Laser Light combines automatic controlled high beam with small laser module in each unit to double the range of the Q7's full beam.Audi has also expanded the Q7's options list to include a new active roll-stabilisation system. It provide active anti-roll bars, controlled by a 48-volt electric motor that automatically adjust to reflect driving style and road conditions. The entry-level 45 TDI diesel produces 228 bhp and 500Nm of torque with a claimed 0-62 mph time of 7.1 seconds and a top speed of 142 mph. Mid-range 50 TDI models produce 282 bhp and 600Nm of torque, delivering a 0-62 mph of 6.3 seconds and a top speed of 150 mph. The 55 TFSI petrol model comes with 335 bhp and 500Nm of torque, with a claimed 6.0 seconds and a 155 mph electronically limited top speed. An eco-focused plug-in hybrid 55 TFSI e version will be introduced few months after initial sales.Retrieved 1 November 2010. Retrieved 26 June 2009. Retrieved 1 April 2015. Retrieved 4 April 2017.
