Use a vacuum cleaner to remove any dust or dirt from the natural enzyme filter. Replace the natural enzyme filter if it cannot be cleaned or if it has been used for about 1 year. (The natural enzyme filter should be replaced after about 1 year of use. However, the actual replacement period may vary depending on the conditions in which the filter is used.) Remove the photocatalytic washable deodorizing filter from the filter holder and inspect the filter. Periodically, remove any dust or dirt from the photocatalytic washable deodorizing filter. If the photocatalytic washable deodorizing filter is particularly dirty, it may be washed with water. However, the filter is fragile so be sure to wash it installed in the filter holder to avoid damaging it. After washing the filter, place it in sunlight to dry. Placing the filter in sunlight revitalizes the deodorizing effect. (Do not dispose of the filter holders. They are reused.) 4. Install the natural enzyme filter and the photocatalytic washable deodorizing filter in the filter holders, and then install the filter holders in the air conditioner. 5. Install the air filters and close the air inlet grill. Photocatalytic washable deodorizing filter Install Install For replacement natural enzyme filters and photocatalytic washable deodorizing filters, contact your dealer. CAUTION Do not expose natural enzyme filters to direct sunlight for an extended period. The bacteriolytic effect will be lost. Inspection and maintenance Dependent upon service conditions and operating environment, the inside of the air conditioner may become dirty after a number of seasons' service (3 to 5 years). This will reduce performance. The air conditioner does not work at all. Has the power switch been turned off. Is there a power failure or a blown fuse. If the air conditioner does not operate properly after you have checked the above points, or if any doubt still exists after you have consulted page 17, or if things happen as shown on page 18, switch off the power and contact your dealer. Poor cooling or heating Have you set the thermostat at a suitable temperature. Is the air filter clean? (Not clogged?) Did you leave any doors or windows open.Is there a heat source in the room. Are there too many people in the room. A new refrigerant (R410A) is used in this air-conditioner. Please remember! You cannot restart the unit immediately after you have stopped it. Restarting has been blocked for 3 minutes after you have stopped, to protect the unit. (RUN light is on) Please wait for three minutes. Not operating? The three-minute protection timer in the microcomputer automatically starts up again. This function is not activated if you have disconnected the power. Air is not blown out when starting the HEATING operation. Air flow has stopped to prevent blowing out of cold air until the indoor heat exchanger has warmed up. (2 to 5 min.) (HOT KEEP) RUN light blinks slowly (1.5 sec ON, 0.5 sec OFF) Air is not blown out for 5 to 10 min.RUN light blinks slowly (1.5 sec ON, 0.5 sec OFF) Air is not blown out when starting the DRY operation. Before you start the engine, operate the en- gine stop lever several times. All the maintenance information for the engine is in the “Engine Instruction Book”. Before you start the engine, read this book. WARNING: Before you make an inspection, adjustment (except carburetor), or repair, stop the engine and disconnect the wire. Add the desired amount of tea (see the Measurement Chart). Y ou may now add sugar, lemon or other flavorings to the brew basket to suit your taste (Figure 2). 4. Rotate the shower head back int o position so that it is now over the brew basket. Close the water reservoir lid. NOTE: Reservoir lid will not close if shower head is not in proper position. 5. Adjust the steeping lever to you r desired brewing strength. 6. Fill the pitcher with ice cubes to the d esired ice level marked on the pitcher (Figure 3). Replace the pitcher lid with the pitcher spout cover in the open position. Figure 1 Figure 2 Figure 3 9. When the brewing cycle is complete, the iced t ea maker will shut off automatically. Wait 30 seconds, then slide the p itcher away from the appliance and serve your iced tea. Y our tea may turn cloudy as it chills due to the presence of naturally- occurring tannic acids foun d in tea. CAUTION: When performing this step, some residual steam may e scape. 10. After you are done enjoying your iced beverage, wait for the iced tea maker contents to cool down before handling. Then, op en the reservoir lid, rotate the shower head out of the way and remove th e brew basket. Discard its contents and rinse it with clean water. MEASUREMENT CHART Use more or less tea according to taste. Additional tea bags or loose tea may be used to brew herbal tea.Let soak for 20 minutes, then rinse. Never use harsh, abrasive cleansers, steel wool pads or other abrasive materials. They may cause scratches which can lead to breakage. CAUTION! Never immerse the iced tea maker itself in water, in any other liquid or in the dishwasher. If you notice an increase in steaming or if the pumping action stops before all of the water has be en pumped out of the appliance, it’ s time to clean it.
