How I enter the BIOS mood.I am somewhat electronically savvy and own appropriate ESD equipment such as a desk mat and wrist strap. Recently I bought a replacement DC power jack which is a pretty straight-forward affair: square cube with female screw hole and power cable with Molex-type plug for the inverter. I have downloaded the Feb 2006 IBM Maintenance Manual but, other than it showing the location of the DC jack it provides no guidance as to what procedure I should use for disassembling the laptop. It is specific about most of the internals but the closest reference is the procedure for replacement of the inverter. Can you recommend what specific subsection I need to be using for instructions from the HMM that will enable me to replace the DC power jack. Thanks a million !
