hunter thermostat manual 44150aOur pr oducts are manufactur ed to high quality standards and ar e designed for years of service. W e hope you will be satisfied and thank you for buying a Hunter pr oduct.PROGRAMMING 3 Y ou can practice pr ogramming before installing your thermostat by inserting and connecting the batteries and following the instructions on page 14. This can be done while you r elax in your favorite chair and is a very good way to familiarize yourself with all the functions of your Hunter Thermostat. OPERA TION 4 Y our Hunter Thermostat is designed to operate with most gas, oil, electric or 2-wir e hot water heating, and air conditioning systems t hat have 24-volt or millivolt control. This feature will pr event damage to your air conditioner compr essor caused by rapid cycling. It does not pr ovide a delay when ther e are power outages. POWER F AILURE 7 Whenever the main power is interrupted or fails, the battery power r etains the programs and curr ent time. It does this by matching your comfort (the temperatur es in your home) to your schedule. When this happens, install new batteries immediately. Once the “LOW BA TT” indicator appears, the thermostat will continue to operate for appr oximately 30 days. (Only alkaline batteries should be used in your thermostat. Rechar geable batteries have dif ferent pr operties which may cause the thermostat to not operate pr operly. Do not use old batteries.) The batteries should last one year. CAUTION: The batteries are the only source of power used to operate your system. If you do not replace the batteries, the display will dim and your heating and cooling system will stop operation. NOTE: If you plan to be away from the premises over 30 days, we recommend that you replace the old batteries with new alkaline batteries prior to leaving. Display backlight for viewing in the dark. Manual switch for automatic or continuous fan operation.http://lhdrum.com/User_File/UpFile/20201118192610_Y2Fub24tcG93ZXJzaG90LWcyLW1hbnVhbC1wZGY=.xml

It worked ok when I was gone during the day at work, but I am now retired and that thing is really pissing me off. I bet I go to that thing 30 times a day to increase the heat. I set the heat to maybe 65, and an hour later its back t 60 again. This is reduculous. Does anyone know if there is a way to override these things. Otherwise I am going to just get rid of it and get a regular thermostat. One would think that when I raise the heat to 65 it would stay that way until the next daily change. In other words, I had it set to go to 55 during the day when I was at work, and change to 65 shortly before I returned home. But somehow this thing decided to set itself to always default to 60, and everytime i raise it, it heats to whatever I set it to, then once it heats that ONE TIME, it goes back to 60. We are having a cold spell, and I have not been feeling well and staying in bed, but I got to keep getting out of bed to raise the heat every hour. This thing is really pissing me off. The blue and red back light, depending upon if the heat or ac is on, is really impressive-looking (although it doesn't stay lit constantly, and there appears to be no way to make it do so-although I personally would not want it to stay lit constantly as it is fairly bright), and the touch screen works great. It does practically anything you could want a thermostat to do, with the ability to program 4 different temperatures throughout different time periods in the day, for both heating and cooling. One feature that I appreciate, but was not expecting is how it keeps track of how many hours the system has been running for the day, the previous day, the current month, and the previous month-I suppose that isn't the most important of features, but it is interesting to be able to see it. The only downside to this thermostat is that there is definitely a bit of a learning curve. The instructions explain almost everything, but they somehow manage to leave out some details of the basic navigation through the system, so at first you can be left not knowing what to do whenever you accidentally press something you didn't mean to press, in fear that pressing anything else might totally mess up everything that you have set so far-but, once you play around with it for a little while it all becomes clear and it actually becomes pretty easy to use. The installation was a breeze: just remove your previous thermostat, using the provided stickers to label all the wires before you disconnect them, and then install this thermostat with the labels on the wire to guide you. It does take 3 AA batteries to work, so make sure you pick those up, because they are not included (also, I am kind of thinking the reviews saying it started going crazy after a year probably need to change their batteries-it would be pretty easy to forget they are even in there since there is no obvious battery compartment). Overall, it's a great-working thermostat that looks really good (which is important in my case since it is in a pretty prominent location in my living room) that has an almost overwhelming array of features, and I am enjoying it immensely. Please try again later. (By the way, we have a Lennox heat pump system). He installed in under 30 minutes total time. While he was installing, I was reading the manual and began to program the unit. I am not technically inclined, and programmed it with very little problem. We read other reviews where others mentioned the difficulties related to use. We have experienced none so far. This is by far the easiest of all digital thermostat i've used. The manual easily explained how to program the unit. I love all of the program settings and options. I am overall very happy with the unit, and I am not always that easy to please. My only complaint so far is that we wanted a blue backlit display so we were so excited when we found this one. HOWEVER, it is only a blue display when cooling, when heating, it has a reddish-orange display. That feature is growing on me, but I did not read anything related to this prior to purchase. Regardless, we are still very happy with our purchase. We are both very happy and highly recommend this product. Please try again later. Please try again later. Robert M.
