If you have a RV this is the book to have and I am very happy with it.If you are a DIY person or simply interested in the workings of your RV this is the book for you. I wish someone would produce an updated version, but still a valuable resource.The reason I rated so low is not the information provided, incomplete on the other systems not covered.I'll probably never reach the stage where I do all the repairs this book contains, but if I were brave enough, this book would be the one I would use. Very detailed step-by-step instructions, very clear writing, great illustrations or photos. I recommend this book, even if you're a bit timid about hands-on. It's a bit pricy, which is why I've not rated it higherIt has definitely been helpful as opposed to having nothing to consult. Once was when I couldn't light the pilot on the gas oven. After trying everything we thought would help, I got the book out, turned to the section on gas and after reading to my significant other, I saw the light bulb go on in his head. The book suggested checking to be sure the gas was turned on. We had turned it off earlier in the day before going through the tunnels across Chesapeake Bay. He went out and turned the propane tank on, and the problem was solved. My only disappointment about the book is it doesn't give enough diagrams of parts of an RV, but then with so many brands out there, I guess it would be impossible to cover them all. We're still pretty new at RV'ing but we refer to the book periodically and while it can't tell you how to fix everything, it at least gives you some clues to know how serious your issues might be. I couldn't find a book that covered a 2003 Jayco Eagle 5th wheel. This is better than nothing.When that happens, and it will happen, you need this book to understand what's going on and how to fix it.The manual that came with my 33 foot Forest River Palamino is worthless. But not as worthless as the app that came with it.Example: He needed a motor for the slide out and this book was very helpful on how to pull out the old motor and put the new one in.It didn't quite make it for Christmas but it will come in very useful come RV season.
