Just more low-grade junk from China as far as I'm concerned.It was able to detect a 64gb kingston flash drive but I was not able to get half way through a file transfer before the flash drive disappeared from windows and I got prompted that it had failed to recognize my usb flash drive. For a while it had me fooled thinking it might have been a driver issue with the usb 3.0 controller on the motherboard so there I go switching between windows 10 and windows 7. Over all I would say the time and effort I spent trying to figure out the problem it was definitely worth more than I paid for this board. If this is the level of quality asrock is puts its products, then this is the last time I ever look at Asrock boards. Definitely not worth the headache.You don't get any fancy SATA III or USB 3.0 (even a front panel header) so if you're looking for those, you better have a PCI-express adapter. Nonetheless, it's reliable, it works, and it does what it says. However, I went to re-overclock my computer, I ran into random throttling of the CPU down to 1600-1700Mhz even though it was well within thermal constraints and running stock clocks on an 860k. Turns out this is the VRMs (the black cubes on the left side of the CPU) overheating and causing the CPU to work at less than half its advertised speed. However, since even on stock clocks and voltages the VRMs were throttling the CPU occasionally at max load, I have to deduct a star for not including the 50 cents of aluminum it would have taken for reliable load-handling and the time taken for buyers to figure out why the heck their computer is throttling. Still a great board, but just bear in mind that finding some way of managing the VRM heat makes the board 10 times better.I love the UEFI screens on this board, they seem well thought out and have a large number of options despite the price tag, and the ASRock remote repair option is a nice touch, although I'm not sure who the target audience would be for that. Once installed the machine booted up without any issues, which is always a plus and you probably know what I'm talking about if you've used AMD boards for the past 20 years. The board is not as tall as other micro ATX boards I've used - it's really about the size of a mini-ITX board with the x16 slot moved down and an x1 in its place, but really with the feature set and price you can't expect multiple x16 slots. There are some caveats to this board however, the biggest ones for me were lack of an HDMI port and USB 3 connectivity. I'd recommend this board for someone that's building a cheap computer for friends or family who may not need USB 3, HDMI, USB-C connectivity, or multiple x16 slots.The PC technology is showing age though even with a A10-750K the PC feels slow, maybe it's because it lacks a SSD. If I ever upgrade my main PC I will pass down each PC to the lower tier for a general upgrade. Still a good budget mobo but much better options are available now Original Review Bought this motherboard after finding out my A88XM-A (Refurbished) was in fact not working correctly. Not as feature-full as other motherboards and on the pricey end for such a basic motherboard but it works and has no problems at least thus far. I am using this motherboard with a Athlon 750K which is basically the A10 5800K without the iGPU.I only ever had one issue. You can update the BIOS directly from the BIOS just by plugging in an ethernet cable and clicking a button. I tried this and it bricked the board. ASRock took care of it for me no problem though so I have no issues. I really like the UEFI interface and the amount of features it offers in making it easy to overclock. The board is super affordable and works great with every APU I've put in it. Being able to use 2400MHz RAM is very nice as well. I've built many budget gaming systems with these guys and my customers love them.
