Chelsea S. 1.0 out of 5 stars Everything about it seemed great, I'm talking endless hours of enjoyment for her. However, my daughters hand got completely jammed in one of the spinner toys.https://www.thebiketube.com/acros-dsc-w580-manual Her fingers were turning dark purple and her hand was left with bruises from being squished in the toy. She's going to be fine but it was very scary for myself and the baby. For me this wasn't about the money but letting them know that these spinners toys are dangerous. I'm giving it one star as a red flag for other parents. FYI I never write reviews especially negative, I'm not just a bored complainer.Seven years apart! In my opinion, its only fault in design is it doesn't quite lock into place when the two arches are swung open. It also doesn't quite fold back together as nicely as I think it should. I do imagine that this is probably a safety feature. So I cannot justify marking down the rating for that. You can rearrange the toys included. Setup is very easy. The mat is padded and a silky texture. It has nice small features for small hands to fiddle with. Not a sensory revolution, but my son's have both enjoyed the leaf that crinkles. Either by kicking it for the noise or by lifting it to reveal the hidden smiling character underneath. You'll find that the bottom surface that is the base and floor covering aspect of this play mat is easily removed for cleaning. Here's a tip: Look for the small plastic lips that are made into the bottom of the support poles. You might happen to overlook this small feature while assembling or reassembling.I think you'll find it a time saver not needing to straighten it out often. Especially, if you opt to leave the pay mat out on the floor between playtimes. I do advise you to consider putting it on a floor that is carpeted or on top of a rug to provide some additional padding. The mat is slightly padded and is a highly durable and quality material. However, little ones doing tummy time may find it to be a little less than a soft landing. At least in the beginning stages of use. Again, I assume this is a safety feature. I currently have mine on top of a plush 5'x7' rug. Previously, I had it on top of a larger area rug that had an additional thick wool rug pad underneath. That latter was probably the better of the two options. This time I chose at first to add another layer of softness under the mat and over the rug I'm using. They are developing their strength and especially at first a surface that is too soft could pose a suffocation risk. Nonetheless, supervision does wonders for prevention. I'm confident that this mat will be enjoyed by many other parents in the years to come. If you plan on expanding your family in the future, this is one of the items I recommend keeping in storage for future use.Well, they must have changed their production standards because the one I got is just awful. It seems that no matter how I try to position the legs they're always skewed a little, the mat never flattens out on the ground because the legs don't spread out enough nor do they hold it in place, and in general it just doesn't stay put. After its been out for a little bit it just has the general look of being in a perpetual state of about to fall over. I'm so disappointed and I hate putting my baby in this thing. For the price this was a huge disappointment. I will add photos when I can get on my laptop to do so.Very cute, but hard to store since it doesn't seem to come apart once assembled, although it does fold. The mat is easily wiped clean. Once baby is bigger and more mobile we have to put it away as it is not a stable handhold to help with standing, it'll start to fold and collapse, and the butterflies on the very top aren't removable, no matter how much baby wants them, which is likely to break it if baby keeps trying.Like many other parents we found this jungle theme line by Fisher Price and bought pretty much one of everything. In a lot of ways they are all very similar in form, function, and quality. And then there is this guy. On the upside there are bunch of toys included and a bunch of places to attach more. There are a variety of songs, sounds, and lights. Our Daugherty loves the lights. And there is motion (see the negatives to follow). We liked it enough that we didn't return it to see if we had gotten a dud or this is the way it is. Now the bad: The leaves go up and down, but they don't lock or click into place so over a fairly short period of time they work themselves out and fall off. The music will play, sometimes. Other times we move the switch and nothing happens. Squeeze around the switch and it starts right up. We also have a switch that appears to do nothing. The last thing, it will be playing quietly and then just get real loud for no reason. All of this has been going on from day one. Having become a connoisseur of the jungle line of products there is just something about this one that doesn't fit with all of the others. I know fake products are out there, and some even find their way to Amazon. I don't know how to tell if this is, but something doesn't seem right compared to the rest of the line. The safety of the child. The product as a product is very interesting and good but not safe for my son. Several times the leg came out and everything fell on my baby. It should not have happened but it happened. Something out there is wrong The experience from the product is not the best and the pity on his face looks good qualityTons of giggles and loads of exercise for him or her! From the very beginning he has giggled and laughed enjoying the gym. It is, by far, his favourite toy. The base is a little thin, especially if you are putting this on a wooden floor. We put a towel underneath just to give it a little more padding and to stop any cold coming up through. The gym can easily be transported. We regularly bring it to my parents house in the boot of our car. To fold it up, you simply rotate one of the arches underneath the other, and it becomes flat and can be loaded into the car. It's very easy to do. I use the Amazon Basics NiMH 2000mAh rechargeable batteries and they seem to last forever in this. I would guess we get about a month out of a set of 3 batteries before they need recharged again. This is with almost daily use. If I were to choose one toy for my baby, this would be it. It keeps him entertained for hours and he obviously loves it from all the giggling and laughing he does. I fully recommend it!Unfortunately we had to sell it to get the space back so when our twins were born this spring we bought another one. The quality of this latest version is appalling. Fisher Price have obviously cut corners to max out their profit margin and it really shows. We could barely get the arches to stay up, and the whole thing is so flimsy it wobbled alarmingly when our babies grabbed the toys. I would recommend buying an older model second hand as that was very sturdily constructed and my son loved it.Als sie anfing, sich hochzuziehen und aufzustehen (9 Monate), war das Ganze zu wackelig. Since a few weeks old he has enjoyed staring at the lights and now at 4 months he's an old hand at bottom wriggling and yanking at the mirror etc. We found we got maximum value by buying other toys that can hang from this - I think this was especially important because larger hanging toys are easier for him to grab at. The batteries have lasted ages with daily use.We have washed the bottom mat successfully. We leave it up at all times, but it does in fact kinda fold in two for sliding to the side of a wardrobe or such. No issues to report. We bought this for two other couples, and they report success, and recommended to another couple and they also report success. Believe the hype! But please do add some additional, larger hanging toys.Page 1 of 1 Start over Page 1 of 1 In order to navigate out of this carousel please use your heading shortcut key to navigate to the next or previous heading. I have had my daughter in it since she was about 2 weeks old and completely immobile and she has been mesmerized by it since day 1. She enjoys all the colors and kicks her legs to the songs. At first, she just looked at the colors of the animals and the lights. It became a lot more fun as she got older and started reaching for the items. Now that she is 12 weeks, she has been grabbing at the stuff and cooing constantly. I have been nothing but satisfied with this product. KUDOS to Fisher-Price; they have done it again. Yes ( 0 ) No ( 0 ) Report Average Rating: ( 5.0 ) out of 5 stars Beautiful Playmat February 10, 2009 I had originally put this playmat on my registry because I thought it looked sage green which went with my nursery theme. When I got it in the mail I saw that the green is actually a very bright and shiny green with super colorful toys all over it. It's wonderful! It holds my daughter's attention and is good for both back and belly time. The toys that come with it are varied and thoughtful and she loves to play with each one. She spins herself around in this mat to get them. There are also a ton of extra loops to add your baby's favorite toys to it. If the toy doesn't already have a connector ring you can buy a 20 pack for just a few dollars. The nature sounds are pretty, we love the rainforest theme (she's also got the Rainforest Jumperoo, which is AWESOME). She's so content in this playmat that just a couple of days ago, she fell asleep while laying in it. See more Reviewed by MetalliMommy MetalliMommy Helpful. There are lights, music, toys, and it's so colorful. This gym would keep my son busy for at least the full 20 minutes that the music would play and he would smile, giggle, and kick his little arms and feet the whole time. I just could not believe what a great toy this was and so easy to take places. Now my son is 7 months old and he still likes to play with it. I would recommend this gym over all the other gyms out there. Yes ( 8 ) No ( 0 ) Report Average Rating: ( 5.0 ) out of 5 stars its great April 6, 2008 I've had this product for 2wks and use it daily. July 14, 2009 My 2 month old daughter already loves this play yard. At this point she is more comfortable with the rainforest sounds and more calming light display that goes along with that. She will tolerate the more vivacious sounds and light show for a few minutes and then gets fussy. I'm sure she will grow to like it as she gets older. I often turn the rainforest sounds on when I am feeding her and sit on the couch next to the play yard so we can both hear and it soothes and calms us both making the feeding experience more relaxed. Wish I could get my old mat back, but I gave that away already.I like the vibration option, which helps her begin to understand cause and effect as it requires her action to turn on the lights. It's also nice that the toys can be linked and moved, as she likes to play with some toys on their own. The only drawback that I have found is that it is rather large and we have not been able to fold it up. However, we received a travel one for a gift, and just bring that with us when we go places, so it really hasn't been an issue for us. As a stationary mat, it works well.I wasn't impressed its almost as if the giraffee is to heavy. This is the second fisher price product we have had an issue with in the last monthIf she touches any of the toys dangling from the bars, the bars immediately twists. It just seems very poor quality for such a price. The place that clicks into the bottom of the hutch does not snap in.He really loves the parrot toy and we removed it for him to play with all the time. Is it possible to get another one of these? So much in fact that the very first song the gym plays is her favorite and she goes nuts for every time it starts. We do not know the name of the song (so ended up making up words to it - which is probbaly why she loves it so much). We would love to know the name of the song so we can buy the song for her.
