Perhaps check the seal on the door to make sure it hasn't perished and the door is sealing properly when you close it. That is the first thing I would check. Is there a possiblilty that something small is stuck in it somewhere. My dryer does the beeping at the end of a drying session until you open its door. It will do it several times if you don't stop it. Mine I only have to open the door to stop it. My niece has one that you turn the timer back to off. (It drives me mad if I'm staying there overnight, they go to bed while it's still on and don't hear it.) When I investigated there were multiple lights flashing and I couldn't turn them off. The barrel was extremely hot. I had to turn it off at the wall. Have just replaced the motor capacitor (the original unit appears to have failed) but the dryer still doesn't work. Drum turns freely, belt is in place and well tensioned, minimal lint anywhere. It lights up and sings a song, and 'clicks' when the door is opened and closed, just doesn't start to heat or spin. Any suggestions? Thermal fuse? Other microswitch somewhere.
