But for the price and as a beginner camera I guess it's adequate. There is nothing wrong with the servos (checked with servo tester) so it appears to be an issue with the tracker. But it's not unusable, just slightly annoyingly slow in that single direction. Apart from that, everything works great. It was not in the documentation how to enter the beep menu, you do that by holding the reset button down and then connect the battery and immediately release the reset button after the first beep. The eye cups are a bit uncomfortable, I will have to address that (maybe take parts from ski goggles). But all in all a great deal, recommend. Also got the pleasure of comparing these to other fatshark goggles (dominator v1, predators and teleporter) today for comparison at a quad meet. Teleporters are terrible and I wouldn't bother with them as the picture quality is dissapointing to say the least. Predators are really nice, comparable in picture quality to the attitude. Only difference I would say is the fov. When wearing the goggles the screen looks noticeably closer and bigger in the attitude. However if I didn't have or want to spend the extra I would have still been happy with the predators. Dominators had a slightly better quality picture than the attitudes but smaller fov. So in conclusion I would say that the attitudes are a good jack of all trade but as long as you stay away from the teleporters you can't really go wrong. I couldn't find a 3rd party module for FatSharks head tracking bay, but FatShark made two different units at different times. The most up to date documentation appears to be a pinned thread over on FPVLab. The list appears to be missing the most recent spektrum additions like the dx8e (what I have) and dx12i. However, this requires a wire from your goggles to your transmitter. The manual doesn't provide any details as to how the wire gets installed and if you can put the panel back on the goggles afterwards. Anyways, I have the dx8e which doesn't have the right port for the wire. This internal module is out of stock most places I looked. I found a few. But it is even marked 'will not restock' at a couple. This doesn't seem like a product they are intent on maintaining. The external module is also wired but just is strapped to the top of your goggles. This gives much wider goggle compatibility at least in trade for bulk and mess. I didn't find this module in stock anywhere and it was also marked 'discontinued' or 'will not restock' at some stores. The last word from spektrum seems to be moving towards using their wireless trainer link as the source for the head tracking channels. This sounds like a great idea. I had assumed their wireless trainer link was just for that, but when I got my dx8e I realized it was a full receiver that any other spectrum transmitter could bind to. Depending on the master transmitter model, you can do extra mappings to use these inputs as extra channels. It looks like Spektrum had its own FPV goggles under the name 'Focal' which are customized fat sharks, with built in head tracker, that could bind here. It's along while since I did it and I've a feeling I had to chose the channels first in the tools then follow the beeps from the tracker to match the channels.Set the channels in the Tx then attempted to get into the Fatshark goggles menu without any luck so messed about with the channels in the Tx and got it working. Think I have a problem with the head tracking unit in the goggles, I can't get into the menu to change the channel setting and the centering button on the goggles sends the servo for pan hard over to the left. Also the pan servo drifts to the right constantly. Anyone know where is the best place to get the goggles looked at and fixed? Cheers.
