The printer rolls the ribbon back and forth to locate the start of each color panel on the ribbon during printing and ribbon detection. In my printer, the slack ribbon also gets chewed up in the print head.Update both by going to the Fargosupport.com and requesting the firmware, print driver and utility. After updating and installing the driver, calibrate the ribbon sensor in the Printing Preferences of the driver.Let's start with the simplest - cleaning.
