Ensure exam day success with the new PE Environmental Review from Michael R. Lindeburg, PE. PE Environmental Review (PEENRM) offers the complete review for the new NCEES Environmental PE CBT exam. This book is the most up-to-date, comprehensive reference manual available, and is designed to the exact order of the exam. Topics Covered Water: Principles, Wastewater, Stormwater, Potable Water, Water Resources Air: Principles, Pollution Control Solid and Hazardous Waste: Principles, Municipal and Industrial Solid Waste, Hazardous, Medical, and Radioactive Waste Site Assessment and Remediation Environmental Health and Safety Associated Engineering Principles About the Exam The NCEES PE Environmental CBT Exam is a 9-hour computer-based exam. It is closed book with an electronic reference. Examinees have 9 hours to complete the 80 question exam. The 9-hour time includes a tutorial and optional break. This exam uses both the International System of units (SI) and the US Customary System (USCS). Key Features: Easy to find content organized in same order as the exam Use of NCEES Handbook equations, tables, and figures Teaching of how to solve exam problems with specific NCEES Handbook equations Industry-standard terminology and nomenclature Equal support of U.S. customary and SI units Binding: Paperback Publisher: PPI, A Kaplan Company After you Pass Your PE Environmental Review will serve as an invaluable reference throughout your environmental engineering career. Get your Kindle here, or download a FREE Kindle Reading App.His books and courses have influenced millions of engineers around the world. Since 1975, he has authored over 40 engineering reference and exam preparation books. He has spent thousands of hours teaching engineering to students and practicing engineers. He holds bachelor of science and master of science degrees in industrial engineering from Stanford University. To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness. A few criticisms: the book doesn't cover groundwater at all, and neither did the general review book. Neither this book nor the general review book did a good job of covering toxicology and risk. Finally, the FE exam has questions on environmental regulations that are not addressed in this book. I would recommend working through this book thoroughly and addressing groundwater, toxicology, and regulations with some separate reading. All of this information is incorrect, and very misleading. An accurate description of the testing procedures can be found in the exam guide PDF, but this book is useless for that. Additionally, in going over the solutions to the exam practice problems, the book has several mistakes and inconsistencies that result in the calculation of incorrect answers. Nevertheless, I would still recommend the book as a comprehensive review of the environmental engineering discipline, as long as you watch carefully for mistakes in the solutions. Most helpfully, the practice problems in the book force you to become familiar with the format of the reference handbook, which will be provided to you during the exam. To be more specific, I found errors in the exam 1 solutions to problems 20 and 24, and in the exam 2 solutions for problems 22, 29, 35, 39, and 46. I hope that helps, and good luck preparing for the exam!It doesn't do much good to learn equations and spend time doing practice problems with those equations that won't be given or used on the test. I wish this author would've made a book that actually prepares test-takers for the actual exam.It only contains review material for the environmental portion of the regular Civil FE exam.I found that the questions in here were a bit more difficult that tests on the actual exam. If you have no other study materials available to you, I would recommend getting this book. It outlines all of the sections of the test and provides you with plenty of examples.
