I didn't necessarily expect them to sell the best possible product but I assumed it would at least be competitive. The good news is that the product works as advertised and the build quality is fine. The charger is friendly and functional but can only charge batteries in pairs. This is often fine, but makes it almost worthless if you have any devices that need an odd number of batteries. The bundled batteries only have a capacity of 1400 mAh. Most rechargeable batteries these days are rated for 2000 mAh or more. My fault for not reading the product information carefully enough. So you basically trade a free charger for a lower capacity batteries. This works fine for me since I used it for my cordless phone and these batteries can be recharged up to 1000 times. The standard NiMH batteries have higher capacity but they are only rated for 500 recharges. So there is trade off on what you want to use these batteries for. I need longevity and less concern about the capacity since the phone will be charged almost every day. The charger that comes in the kit is a slower charger (5-10 hrs) than my old Energizer SS charger (take 3 hours or less). So he plugs it into the wall and we go to bed. The next morning the indicator light is flashing red again. We must have gotten a faulty product because we know the batteries were not corrupt. My return window has long been closed so I can't get a refund. I am very disappointed with this product. There's no reason it shouldn't be working. My recommendation would be to test out the charger upon receiving it and not leave it in the battery drawer for three months.
