Turn the knob clockwise to increase the tension and damping. Turn the knob counterclockwise to decrease the tension. Use the crank on the right cabinet to control the turning force and pressure. Turn the crank clockwise to lift the top roller. Turn it counterclockwise to drop the roller. When the top roller is dropped to the point that it reaches the bottom roller, the turning force is significantly reduced causing what is called idle stroke. When the weight of the top roller is well-distributed on the bottom roller, the laminating can be started. Continue to turn the knob clockwise to increase the pressure. B. Adjusting the parallelism and pressure of the main rollers The alignment of the main rollers is a crucial factor for ensuring quality lamination. It affects both the balance of pressure and the off-tracking. While the main rollers are well-aligned before initial shipment, heavy vibration in transport or long-time operation may eventually lead to misalignment of the main rollers. The following instructions will guide users in readjusting the rollers. 6 If the difference excedes 2mm, proceed with the adjustment. 2) Using 2 pieces of scrap material (aproximated 3 wide and 20 long), raise the top roller up enough to insert both pieces of material under the rollers about 12 from either side. Lower the top roller until either piece of material is secured tightly between both rollers. The remaining piece of material will be loose between the rollers.
