Empire Paintball Empire Paintball is the worldwide leader in the manufacturing and distribution of paintball sporting goods. It’s what we do. Empire is a trademark of G.I. Sportz Paintball. G.I. Sportz G.I. SPORTZ was founded by a group of Professional Paintball Players and Business Owners with the goal of delivering the Player, Dealer and Field Owner the most innovative products designed to improve the level of performance, quality and overall playing experience surpassing all other Brands and Manufacturers in the history of the game we all love. Our Staff use their extensive playing experience and business knowledge to create innovative new products evolving and elevating the game to new heights. They have made some exceptional paintball guns over the years, but they have also manufactured some markers that left a little more to be desired. The original Mini paintball gun that Empire released had several flaws that really frustrated a lot of paintball players. Some of the design flaws included: the trigger, the feedneck, the ASA, the grips, the milling and so on. Needless to say, the original design of the Mini was not optimal. That’s partially what makes it so impressive that the updated Empire Mini GS Lots of times, companies will hear customers complaints and maybe try to fix an issue or two without the willingness to essentially overhaul the entire product. Not Empire though. They basically fixed every issue users had with the original Mini. Empire took the original Mini from one of the worst designed entry-level electronic markers and made the Mini GS one of the best entry-level electronic markers.http://www.kiu.pl/userfiles/dewalt-d-735-manual.xml It really is impressive and we give Empire a ton of credit for manufacturing such a great marker. It had several design flaws that made it a below average marker and we will just leave it at that. But Empire knocked it out of the park with the design on the Mini GS. The first feature you will probably notice on the Mini GS is that is has a very slim and small design. It really lives up to its name in this regard. Every part of the body that was not absolutely necessary has been milled down. There is no extra bulk or body. The slim profile is one of the smallest on the market. A design flaw that has been corrected was changing the feedneck to a clamping attachment. The feedneck now locks with a lever lock and is incredibly sturdy and less prone to breaking. It does a great job of securing the hopper while eliminating the threading that used to get stripped and caused hoppers to get stuck. Another noticeable difference on the Mini GS is that there is rubber grip everywhere you need it. And it’s not just some cheap smooth plastic that lacks grip but it is just the right amount of stickiness with thick rubber. The foregrip is a big giant rubber wraparound cover which can be removed to replace the battery and access the board. The finger grooves in the foregrip are deep and although they may not align perfectly with your finger placement, they do give some additional texture for grip. The new trigger on the Mini GS is a microswitch trigger and offers some good resistance, unlike the old trigger. It actually feels like you are pulling a trigger now when you fire rounds. The new trigger is impressive and a great upgrade. There is some slight resistance when flipping the switch, but you don’t have to worry about your finger getting hit when turning off. There’s not much to add about the design of the bolt except that it’s the same bolt that was used in the previous Mini but it has been milled down a little in the back half. It still works great and is a solid design.https://events.citeve.pt/chat-conversation/boss-looper-rc-20xl-manual We’ll cover the bolt a little more in the durability and performance sections, but overall it is a good design and performs well. Performance (4.8) The problem with the original Mini was that is had a lot of design flaws, but once you got past those and it came to on-field performance, it actually performed pretty good. Empire definitely has a track record of markers that are reliable and perform on the field, and the Mini GS hits the mark regarding on-field performance. First, let’s cover the performance specs first. Shockwave board comes with several different firing modes: semi-automatic, burst, ramping, fully automatic and all of the standard tournament modes Comes out of the box at 15 balls per second, can reach a max of over 20 balls per second; this is really unnecessary and you should probably never shoot it this fast, so don’t focus on the max too much Operating pressure is between 180 and 200 psi The Mini GS is extremely reliable and consistent on the field. The 12” barrel it comes with gives a consistent and accurate shot. We would have preferred a 14” barrel, but the 12” certainly gets the job done. If you are going to use this marker in a lot of tournaments or need a better barrel for a specific range, upgrading to a customized barrel would certainly improve it. There’s only very slight kickback when firing the Mini GS. You can hold it pretty much anyway you want and not have to worry about recoil. However, if you use proper technique, you won’t even notice the barely noticeable kickback because it doesn’t cause any barrel rise. One of the most frustrating things that can happen on the paintball field is when you experience a chopped ball in your marker. This shouldn’t be a concern with the Mini GS though because the integrated break-beam anti-chop eyes do a super job of preventing this.https://connylahnstein.com/images/993-manual-or-tiptronic.pdf Likewise, barrel breaks are also very uncommon because of the excellent firing system design, assuming you are using the optimal paint for weather conditions and barrel size. The last couple of items we wanted to cover regarding performance was noise and gas usage. The Empire Mini GS does a great job at both. It is a relatively quiet gun, and it does a great job of using gas efficiently. We don’t have any complaints in regards to either metric. Maintenance (4.7) Empire does an excellent job of helping its customers maintain the Mini GS by supplying a really good parts and maintenance kit with the purchase of the marker. The kit includes extra lube, allen wrenches, extra detents, extra detent springs and extra screws. There’s really no need for extra o-rings because there aren’t many o-rings on the marker that ever need to be replaced. Preventative and routine maintenance are not overly difficult to perform on the Mini GS, but you need to know how and when to do it. If you don’t properly maintain the marker, you should not expect it to operating to its full potential. And although it’s something small, one of the thing that frustrates us about Empire is that they don’t include a color manual when you purchase a marker from them. All they include is a 2 page quick start guide, and if you want the full manual, you have to download it. This isn’t a big deal for most veteran paintball players, but it would really help beginners learn more about the gun and how to better perform maintenance and operate it. Without a little reading and study time online, you should easily figure out how to perform maintenance on the Mini GS though. Durability (4.8) The Mini GS and all of its features have great durability. We really can’t think of any design flaws that will cause it to break down over time. The milled aluminum frame might be lightweight and “mini”, but it is incredibly tough and durable. Likewise, the rubber grip really keeps up well and retains its shape and grip over time. Empire did a great job on selecting the rubber that is used for the grips. We are also glad Empire upgraded the design of the feedneck to a clamping feedneck. Not only does it make it easier to secure your hopper to the marker, but it also makes it much more durable. We have made it this far in the review and haven’t even mentioned the air hose yet. Why? Because it is located inside the frame to help ensure it stays out of the way. Great design for both function and durability. Overall Performance (4.9) The Empire Mini GS delivers a great design, durability, reliability and awesome performance all while being considered an “entry-level” marker because of its price point. You could easily use this marker as a tournament paintball gun and be competitive. There’s not too many other markers in this price range that you can say that about. There definitely are more affordable paintball guns available on the market for beginners. But those mechanical markers are not going to have the performance or capabilities that the Mini GS has. If you have the budget to purchase the Mini GS, it is one of the best bang for your buck markers available. How Does the Empire Mini GS Compare to the Competition. Dangerous Power G5 The Dangerous Power G5 is a very comparable marker to the Mini GS. It is a good electronic marker that is durable, has lots of features and delivers excellent performance in a similar price range. The Power G5 does have a little more kick and aggression to its shot though. Additionally, lots of users have experienced issues with the bolt getting stuck, but there is a simple solution: wipe the original lube off the bolt and re-lube it with something better. The Power G5 is also one of the smaller markers available, but it has a little more room than the Mini GS. It is essentially the same marker but slightly larger. It performs great and shoots very similarly. It’s also considered an “entry-level” marker because of it’s price point, but you could also easily use it in speedball tournaments because of its firing capabilities. The Proto Rize MaXXed is also bigger than the Mini GS, but it is not nearly as efficient with its use of gas. You will go through gas much quicker. If you are looking for an electropneumatic marker that is durable and will keep you competitive in any game because of its firing capabilities, the Mini GS is an excellent choice. Our one caveat to potential buyers is the size: if you have larger hands or don’t want the mini-size, you should check out Empire’s Axe paintball marker instead. Other than concerns about the size though, this is one of our favorite markers available. Play now and pay later with AffirmToday, I am bringing you an overview of the Empire Mini GS. All right, guys, yes, I've done programming videos with this gun, I've done comparisons and versus videos with this gun as well, but I've honestly never done a general overview with it. Since it's an overview right. What's in the box? Okay, so when you buy one of these Mini GS's, you get your manual, which I highly suggest you guys read over, and there's tons of videos AKA ours on YouTube, to find out how to program this gun, and features like that. But read your manual, if you want to get accustomed to what product you have just purchased. All right, so you got your nice styrofoam that protects it. Keeps the gun on the shelf for a minute. Anyways, you've got a brand new barrel cover here that comes in the box, and then a brand new rebuild parts kit. No, that rebuild kit's been used, and so I highly suggest buying new. At that point in time, don't forget www.lonewolfpaintball.com. And for you guys, we do have financing available. So if you want low monthly affordable payments, with as low as zero APR, you know, check it out. Could be, it could be. Alright, let's jump on into this, let's go. We always go, you know, top to bottom. You do have a locking and clamping feed neck up top, which is fully adjustable by that Allen screw, there. So depending on the size of the hopper or what hopper you're using, you can definitely adjust the tightness or looseness of the hopper for the feed neck. Does come with a 12-inch barrel here. I haven't seen many people complain about the stock barrel. Normally they do obviously have a 98 Custom. So this gun is powered by a nine volt that sits in the front grip here. And it is fully programmable, once again, guys. So if you don't like the way you did it in one of them, you can watch the other video too. That is very true. All right, well, I'll flip it over here. The best part about this gun in my opinion, is A, the gauge, and B, the ASA lever here. So this is an on-off, engages and disengages your air system and then the gauge for you guys out there. So you never wanna see this gauge there go over the 200 mark, or you're gonna hear leaking from the internal frame of the gun. And that means you've over-pressurized the solenoid or the internal reg. So once again, guys, for the beginners out there, since this is a beginner speedball gun, this gauge is super important. Never touch that. Only touch the well-known velocity in the back of the gun. This is the only place that you guys need to adjust velocity. Never ever put an Allen wrench in here. And bolt maintenance, hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on. As for bolt maintenance, the only thing you need to do to get your bolt out of the gun is take out this back screw, your bolt's gonna slide out very similar to how like an X2.0 would. Slides out the back, that engine looks the same. And then you're gonna lube every O-ring on the gun, coming brand new out of the box, it's already ready to rock. You don't really care that much, every two to three times, you wanna do that. So, guys, general overview of the Mini GS. You wanna shoot ramping and all that fun stuff, this gun does it. Yeah, it has plenty of the firing modes, like I said in the beginning of the video, we have all the programming stuff on a previous video, so just search that on our YouTube site, you'll find it, how to program it. Main takeaways before I close this video out: Always watch your gauge, make sure it doesn't go over 200 PSI. So, all right, Mark, don't forget, available, www.lonewolfpaintball.com, for all your latest and greatest paintball needs, and slide on over to thejerkyden.com, for some of the best lean protein in the game. You guys let me know in the comments below, was I right, was I wrong. February 25, 2020 April 3, 2018 by Michael James The Empire Mini GS is a follow up of the popular Empire Mini. There are multiple updates to the new Mini GS that integrates the latest Empire technology. The original Mini has been a tremendous success and the Empire has taken it to another level with the Mini GS. Let’s walk through the features and some of the upgrades in this review. You need to download it online This paintball gun is compact and small which might not be suitable for players with big hands. Though it’s always a plus for small hands CLICK TO CHECK PRICE The Design Empire Mini GS has truly knocked out several paintball guns on the market. The very first feature you will perhaps notice is its small and slim design. It won’t be exaggerating to say that the gun incredibly lives up to its name. This paintball gun has corrected a flaw by modifying the feedneck to a clamping attachment. The feedneck locks with a level deadlock which makes it exceptionally durable and less prone to breaking. It performs an excellent job of securing the hopper while at the same time removing the threading that can stick the hoppers. Another prominent difference in the Mini GS is the presence of a rubber grip where you need it. It’s not an inexpensive plastic that lacks grip but a sufficient amount of stickiness with thick rubber. The foregrip is a giant rubber cover which can be detached to access the board or substitute the battery. The finger grooves on the foregrip might not align perfectly with your finger positioning but they surely give some added texture for grip. Moreover, the updated trigger on the Mini GS is a micro-switch trigger offering great resistance, unlike the typical trigger. The new trigger is very impressive and an awesome upgrade. There is somewhat resistance when flipping the switch, but you don’t need to worry about your finger getting hit when switching off. Overall, it’s a solid design that comes with sufficient durability and offers efficient performance that you must be looking forward to. It’s a great design that performs pretty well. Performance As soon as it comes out of the box, the Mini GS shoots at approximately 275 FPS. After some warming up, you can manage to get 293 FPS. It’s very convenient to regulate the velocity by using the Allen wrench. Now let’s take a look at the performance of Mini GS on the field. This paintball gun has a comparatively regular kick. Whether you are left or right-handed, you can enjoy a similar experience without any difference. The gun shoots moderately quiet as the Empire Axe and Empire Axe Pro. Significantly Improved Ergonomics The Empire Mini GS is a lightweight paintball marker. With a weight of approximately 1.2 pounds, it’s one of the most lightweight paintball guns on the market. Though for some players, it might not be very friendly. You might encounter a major problem when using this gun if you prefer a moderately or heavyweight paintball gun. The new rubber grips are an excellent upgrade to the Mini GS. Also, it gives the marker a nice durable feel. Further, the rubber grips provide unmatched protection against any elements for even more reliability. This is surely a significant improvement over the original Mini since it can be easily used to remove the tank. With this feature, you can conveniently purge the tank of air. It’s definitely one of the best features out there which makes it exceptionally easy to attach and remove the tank. Break-Bream Anti-Chop Eyes The latest electronic paintball guns are equipped with break beam eyes. They comprise a transmitter and a receiver that permits a beam between them. As soon as you load a paintball, the beam breaks and it’s transmitted to the Mini GS’s circuit board. With this new mechanism, you may hardly get any chopped paintballs. Clamping Feedneck The Empire Mini GS comes with a low profile clamping feedneck. It’s the similar feedneck used by the Empire Axe Carbon Fiber edition. The feedneck is externally modifiable to make it a user-friendly option on the battlefield. In comparison to the original Mini which featured a screw on the hopper, this Mini GS clamping feedneck is extremely easy to use. This low profile feature is very practical especially when you try to hide behind bunkers since it prevents the hopper from sticking out. Maintenance When it comes to choosing one of the best paintball guns, maintenance makes for another important consideration. If you have just entered in the sports of paintball, the Empire Mini GS might not be the perfect option for you since it requires some time for maintenance. Unlike the Empire Axe and its tool-less bolt detachment system, the Mini GS comes with several small parts that need to be taken out and separated individually. We won’t go through the technical steps of maintaining this paintball marker, but you can surely watch several videos on YouTube to get an in-depth understanding of the assembly. Also, make sure to thoroughly read the user’s manual that you can download online. Generally, it takes about 8 minutes to take out the bolt and lube it. The rest of the components require relatively less time. Typically, you need to take the bolt out and do most of the cleaning. Besides, we would suggest you clean this paintball marker after every game and ensure no dirt and other particles are infused in the gun that might cause trouble later on. Our Verdict: We hardly found any major flaws in the Empire Mini GS and is surely one of the best paintball markers we have reviewed till now. The only slight downside of the Mini GS is the maintenance. Nevertheless, it might not be a problem for experienced players. Practice makes the man perfect and the same goes for Mini GS maintenance. If you are someone who has experience with paintball and is looking for a reliable paintball gun with the latest features, this gun is definitely for you. The decent price tag of this gun, is an absolute steal. There are hardly any paintball guns that come closer to the Empire Mini GS at this price point. Brent B. 5.0 out of 5 stars Some people in reviews say this gun is small and kind of tight and bigger handed people may not like it. And it is a little compact I mean it weighs less than 2lbs. But I'm a big handed 6 ft guy and I love it I guess it is all in your preference of how u like to hold your gun but the way I hold mine it does not bother me at allI have had precisely zero issues with this after about 5 uses and an equal amount of cases of paint put through it. Used to be Ions were the only option at this price point that were worth it, and this thing is about 100x better. Also mine came with a cheat sheet and not quite a manual, but if you're reading this I'm assuming you can Google and download the.pdf version. This is a perfect starter gun or for a smaller player with smaller hands. Be careful playing in the rain, if the gun gets to wet it will have some issues but just take it completely apart and let the board dry outI love the feel of this marker, its nice and compact, and also shoots like a dream. Overall the marker is super easy to clean and service, super reliable, quiet, and to me it just looks really nice. Recommended for new players looking to get into electronic markers, or for seasoned players as well that want a inexpensive backup marker. I have been playing for 19 years and still love this little marker.Simple and easy to maintain. Love it!Very good for the price too.It rips right outta the box. Your gonna need alot of paint!
