(I keep one alarm set for just weekdays and use the second to remind me to take evening meds.) One of the nicest features is the buzzer starts off ever so softly and slowly increases in volume (you determine the volume) rather than blasting and shocking you out of a deep sleep. I have had this clock for about a year. I am now going to order a second one.I knew that when I bought it (I wasn't looking for an atomic clock). It states it comes with the time preset. As the other reviewer mentioned, the preset time was incorrect when I received it. I had to reprogram it. The clock will reset itself for SHORT power outages, but failed to reset during a recent 4 hour outage. I like the alarm features, and the radio sounds pretty good. The clock numbers are large and can be dimmed. It has a lot going for it. I just wish it would perform as advertised.The clock arrived on time and so far works great. It's my fault I didn't read the description fully because I didn't realize the clock had some marks on it, but so far, it hasn't affected its use.The Emerson CKS3029 Clock Radio is a regular clock radio with a battery-backed up memory. When you unplug the clock (or when there's a power outage), the battery keeps the clock portion powered (there's no display).
