If the scene you are watching was shot from multiple angles, the angle icon will appear on the screen. You may then press the angle button on the remote to select the alternate angles. The default Angle Mark setting is 'On'. For details, see page 41. ONOFF This means that all of the on screen menus and icons will appear in English. If English is your preferred language no adjustment is necessary and you can skip to the next section. If you wish to change the On Screen Display (OSD) Language to something else, your choices are German, Italian, French or Spanish. Note: If you are playing a DVD movie disc with Dolby Digital soundtrack and you do not hear sound from all 5 satellites remember to check the default settings in the menu of the disc you are playing. ONOFF Subwoofer Setting Your system was supplied with speaker CONFIGURATION 1, which means 5 small satellite speakers that reproduce the mid range and high frequencies, and one subwoofer which reproduces all of the low frequency (bass) sounds. Since the Bass Mode setting is set to CONFIGURATION 1 (see page 34) you cannot adjust or turn off the subwoofer unless you first change the Bass Mode setting. The subwoofer setting must remain 'on' or you will not hear any bass sounds at all. This may be preferable if the center speaker is closer to your listening position than the front left and right speakers. This may be preferable if the rear speakers are closer to your listening position than the front and center speakers.The CONFIGURATION 1 setting directs all of the bass sounds to the subwoofer only. CONFIGURATION 2 should only be selected if the left and right front satellites are replaced by larger full range left and right front speakers.
