If the markets overstep the TARGET, the EASI will become a neutral. If all time frames display the same signal, either a positive or negative, then expect an acceleration in the direction of the trend, provided a large price movement has not yet taken place. Should ELWAVE, for example show a positive on every time frame, at some point the EASI column of time frames (the smallest time frame first) will change to neutral as soon as the TARGET has been reached. Normally a neutral signal means you can still hold on to your positions. Should the smallest time frame change to a negative, you have an aggressive signal to exit your positions, depending on your trading strategy. Time frames show the relative order of the trend within a trend or the pattern within a pattern that ELWAVE has found automatically. Time frames of the same degree normally do not exactly have the same duration; they are dynamic in nature. The lower listed TIME FRAMES (or wave degrees) in the SUMMARY are smaller trends in a larger trend (or the higher listed TIME FRAME). When you go to ElWave you select Chart, New Chart and locate the file that you save the MT4 chart data in. If your version of ElWave is similar to mine it will look something like the first picture. Next you will have to set the properties of the data so that ElWave can read it. That is done as in picture 2. IF you are using daily data then you would adjust the settings as in picture 2. If you are using intraday data the you need to add the time component as in picture 3. It is a bit complex but once you have it figured out it is easy enough. I suggest that you stick with daily data at first. One thing is that if you change between daily to intraday, you will have to reset the ASCII File Format and either add or remove the time setting. Status: MemberMake sure that your chart is up to date in MT4 before you save the data in ACII format. You can also open the ASCII file with excel to make sure that it is all there. It will show the the first four lines of data and that gives you an idea of how to set the column contents and where the data starts. Other wise, you should be okay. Save the MT4 data each time you want to do a new count and that is it. I used to be able to get ElWave to take a minute-by-minute feed from MT4 but I updated and the present version that I have cannot do that any longer.
