If a temperature is not appropriate for the cycle, it cannot be selected. Your Electrolux Front Load Washer is smart. It will remember the temperature you select for a cycle and recall it each time until you change it. The water temperature can be affected by a variety of factors including the water heater setting and its distance from the washer, water usage in other parts of the home and seasonally low ground water temperature in some geographic areas. It is recommended that you set your water heater to 120 degrees or higher to ensure proper performance. Check by realigning the threads, make sure that the rubber sealing washers are in good shape and seated properly, and tighten the hose connections. If they are loose, you might need to reinstall or replace the rubber sealing washers. Using a non-HE detergent, or using too much detergent in soft water, can cause suds to overflow the washer. Likewise, the following scenarios may result in the need for slightly more detergent: large loads, heavier-soiled loads, hard water or cold water. High-efficiency (HE) detergents are recommended for front load washers. They are formulated to reduce suds and ensure proper cleaning. When using these products, simply use less than the recommended amount of detergent. Products such as oxygen bleach can produce extra suds. I know it needs to be done, but wasn't sure how often. Now I know that when it's prompting me to do it, it needs to be done. How novel. lol It usually takes me a couple of tries for it to be right. I hope you had this answered a long time ago.The model wasn't specified in the original post. I never would have thought of it on my own. My uncle had suggested using some sort of counter balance or pulley system so that door would lift easily. I would love to see your pics though. And now I have joint issues so I have basically moved into my 600 sq ft first floor in my old converted summer bungalow. I do have a half floor above the front two thirds of my house, but that isn’t really used much nowadays because there’s not even a half bath up there. That’s another story. Been trying to figure where to tuck one in, but it’s nowhere near the water pipes on the first floor, so it would be another pain in the rear undertaking. Instead, I’ve just moved to the ground floor level. I really need to figure a first floor laundry solution to make life easier. And my only bathroom is on the first floor, but it’s 5’ x 6’ so a stackable laundry in there unit would not work unless I lose the tub, but I don’t want just a shower stall. My second choice was a front load LG set that was on sale, which I have now had for over a year. I am very happy with it; no complaints, and most importantly, clothes come out clean. I do wipe around the rubber seal and dry the soup dispenser when I am finished with the laundry. There is a small access door at the bottom of the washer which is where a small drain hose and lint filter are located. I periodically clean the lint filter and drain any standing water in the small hose. It's easy to do and takes very little time. The washer door is designed that it can be left open slightly ajar so that the interior can dry. I also do not use liquid fabric softeners. After a year of regular use I have had no issues with mold or mustiness. My LG washer still looks like new and functions well. Q Comments (29) I lived in Europe for years, where front loaders is what you get. I now live in Australia, and have a Miele front loader, which is excellent. They are much gentler on clothes than most top loaders, are more efficient (albeit slower) and they fit under the countertop. Here, we buy detergent specifically for front loaders (and I still use less than the recommended amount). I mostly running on cold or cool cycles, but it tells me when it needs to have a hot run for sanitation. For two people, it's great. For a family, I'd want a much bigger model..See More Bosch oven door glass shattered during self clean Q Comments (78) On Tuesday while the oven was heating up the inner sheet of glass shattered. I will keep them in mind should I need to manually start a clean cycle again. Thank you! Especially Kerry Bh37.One year I have been ignoring that! I just purchased my set. So far very pleased. Going from an Asko product to this is the best I could hope for. Just confused about the main dial. Seems to work either way.
