One of the solder joints on the relay was cracked but hardly visable. Resoldered it and no problems. How to do it: Make sure you turn off the power at the wall and pull out the plug. To get to the circuit board remove the screws on the inside top of the door and pull out the front panel (where the buttons are). Press the little clips and the white box containing the circuit board comes free. Remove all the plugs and lever open the small clips holding the box shut. After you open the box pull the circuit board up and have a look at the contacts under the black little box (relay). Use a soldering iron and some flux cored solder and redo the joints. Put it all back together and turn on to see how it goes. Worked for me. All the best. We will never again recommend Electrolux to other people as a reliable brand to buy. Shame on you Electrolux. You should have offered every single person on this site a replacement dishwasher (that actually works) for all the wasted money they have put in your pocket purchasing and repairing these appliances. Electrolux 7 years ago Hi Jodie, Maria M from Electrolux here. Thanks Maria M Like Report Carl 7 years ago Hi Jodie, Is one of three things: 1. No water pressure due to blocked inlet pipe or faulty pump. If you have water exiting the arm then this is not generally the cause. 2. a blocked arm (food particles blocking the holes). The arms can be unclipped from the dishwasher (just lift them off) and wash the arm out under the tap. Use a brush to clean the holes. Its the pressure from water exiting the holes that make the arms turn. 3. a warn arm - arms are plastic, can ware out and not turn properly. A warning on this model. The control board on this model generally fail within four years (causing the water not to be heated resulting in a poor wash) or they catch fire. Electrolux will not admit to these faults on this model, but have on other models. Information available across the internet. Is that normal?. Like Share More 3 answers Glenn 7 years ago Not as I recall, i.e. if the power switch was off, then the lights were also off - although nothing would surprise me about this machine. We are much happier now with our new Bosch dishwasher. Like Report Carl 7 years ago This is not normal. Do the programs change when you press the program button. If you can change to different programs by pressing the program button, then replace the switch. That being said, I wouldn't throw money at this dishwasher as you will likely experience the heating problems everyone else is experiencing and there is not permanent fix - the only fix is for you to keep updating components in the control board. If the programs change when you press the control button, try a cycle to see if the dishwasher still Heats. If so, you choice about replacing the switch. Regards Like Report ELECTROLUX. Only 5 minutes to change out, all you need is a Philips screwdriver. Open the door, remove the screws on the inside of the door at the top and the 2 top screws each side. The board is on the right hand side inside a white plastic case. (the new board will come already fitted to the housing so no need to pull it out). Remove the plugs underneith and its out.
