Like Share More 1 answer Rocketman 2 months ago Lizzy, Its an issue that probably needs a qualified serviceperson. At a guess I would say it needs a new heating element. If you hold it in and stand there it continues the cycle but if you release the power button it stops!!! The child lock also seems to be on and I’ve done what it says to unlock permanently the child lock but that doesn’t work Should I buy a new dishwasher or can this fault be fixed???? Like Share More 2 answers Rocketman 4 months ago My advice is that these older Electrolux dishwashers are not of good quality. Getting it fixed you may be throwing good money after bad. As there will probably be something else go wrong with it soon after. Can I get a photo of the panel with printed controls. Like Share More No answers Col. Like Report michellepod asked 2 years ago DX302 Hi,is it worth changing the water supply from cold to hot before trying to solder relay. If so,how do I do it. The water no longer heats,so dishes come out dirty, cold and wet regardless of cycle Like Share More 2 answers murphybrown 2 years ago I have mine connected to the hot water,I always run the hot water tap next to the dishwasher so as the dishwasher takes in instant hot water therefor cutting down the time the dishwasher has to heat the water to satisfy the preset temp on the PCB setting Thus putting less demand on the heater circuit on the PCB solder joints which are prone to melt. The washing ability is not affected in our experience. Like Report Nash 2 years ago My dishwasher is connected to hot water.According to the temperature setting it set it self automatically. It works well. Like Share More 2 answers murphybrown 4 years ago It would be red it's ok. Like Report Jules 4 years ago Red is ok and in my thought it should be red as if you open the door just after finished it can be quite hot so acts as a warning Like Report Kerry Norton asked 4 years ago DX302 Hi I have resoldered the relay but obviously this is not the problem being the water heats but only to 35c even on 70c intense wash. Is it the temp sensor. Any idea and how to fix. Thanks Like Share More 2 answers murphybrown 4 years ago I presume you resolderred the relay on the pcb if the water flow is restricted through the heater pipe it can cut off prematurely on the limiter thermostats of the heater.First make sure the filters are clean in base of the dishwasher especially the inner micro filter.Sensors have to be tested by a meter no other way to tell if they are faulty.(I doubt it being faulty). Like Report Kerry Norton 4 years ago Thank you for your prompt reply. I solved half of the problem the machine was connected to the hot water tap which is heated by a coal range and the water was 35c. I changed the water input to cold and no heating at all although the relay on the pcb has been resoldered. I believe my next step is to replace the relay or solder a 12v 40 amp relay in its place. Push and hold the power button in and the unit springs to life. I have put racing tape over the button to hold it in because its chock a block and we need to wash tonight. For the record it was a DX302SJ. Once the screws are out gently pivot the whole fascia from the top going down. There are numerous cables and a door latch, the only tricky bit is the door latch just unscrew that part and it all falls out. Now you have access to the control module and the power switch itself, which judging by the colour of switch and cable connectors, was FRIED. So simply remove the two cables and pull the old switch out. When you buy the new switch it also comes with a new supporting bracket, but as my bracket was OK I just pushed the new switch in, then reconnected the cables and then reverse assembled the fascia. Here is a tip if using a cordless drill to screw the srews in make sure your clutch is set pretty low or else you will strip a screw or two Put the power on and test the switch. The heater in my dx302 has stopped working and I have already resoldered the pcb but no luck. I'd like to know what it's thinking, if anything, when it sits in the middle of the loungeroom, spinning around and around on its two, oversized robot wheels. I think it would be something like this: The Electrolux Pure i9 is certainly a flighty creature. Supplied Look at me. I'm dancing! That would be in stark contrast to the more affordable Ecovacs Deebot Ozmo 930 robot we reviewed a few weeks ago, which never did pirouettes on the job, and which seemed to only ever have one thing on its mind: cleaning. Advertisement OK, so in 3.2 seconds, when I've finished this run perpendicular to the wall, I'm going to turn 90 degrees counter-clockwise, run along the wall for 15 cm, turn another 90 degrees, and come back again. Oh god I love to clean. Kittenish characteristics Compared to the Ecovacs, the PUREi9 is flighty, to put it mildly. It's like watching an infant, or a kitten, it's so easily distracted from the task at hand. The PUREi9 will be vacuuming in one direction, using its camera and its twin laser beams to map the room and avoid obstacles, when all of a sudden it will spin around a few times, as if it's looking for something more fun, and then head off in a different direction to vacuum somewhere else. Oh look! Shiny! It doesn't seem to matter if it's going to a new part of the room, a part yet to be vacuumed, or if it's returning to somewhere it's already vacuumed two or three times in that session. It will just go there. And the moment it gets there, the same thing may happen again. It may see somewhere else it wants to go, and go there. Advertisement Oh look. More shiny! If you're buying a robot vacuum cleaner just for the sheer joy of watching a machine trying to navigate around your house, then there is no robot more fun to watch than this one. It's flighty to the point of being insane. Or drunk. Or both. It might only have one brush, but the Pure i9 always turns to make best use of it. And it must be said, there is something to be said for flightiness in this sort of device. A robot vacuum cleaner that maps your house and then systematically goes about vacuuming it, the way the Ecovacs does, runs the risk of consistently missing the same area time and time again, every time it vacuums. (That's not actually the case with the Ecovacs, which only seems to skip areas you specifically tell it to skip, but in theory that's the disadvantage of a systematic, repetitive approach.) But the seemingly random approach taken by the Electrolux ensures that, in the long run, it won't miss anything.
