Not all the newer Electrolux vacuums will be here, just the major models. This is not a technical or model specs page about Electrolux vacuums. To get that information, you will need to contact Aerus. This has been gathered for informational purposes only. For official and technical information you will have to contact Aerus Electrolux. We have tried to make this as accurate as possible but do not guarantee it to be 100 accurate. We think Electrolux is a great vacuum and it has been a piece of American vacuum history. It is not uncommon to see a 40-year old Electrolux still running perfectly.http://kovonerez.com/images/742-bobcat-repair-manual.pdf The term buy once and buy right would apply to an Electrolux in our opinion. My sister-in-law still uses her 1940 Electrolux (given to her by her grandmother) and it works fine. I have seen vacuum salesmen demonstrating how strong the Electrolux is by jumping on it with all their weight (don't try that at home). I must say that I think the Electrolux vacuum is one of the most convenient vacuums to vacuum with as well. Electrolux vacuums have been in existence for almost 100 years now. In this document, I am only going to mention the latest models. For all other models, you should be able to find information on the internet. We have listed the models below and by each model, you will see a year. This year represents the year we believe Electrolux started making that particular model. If you are looking for an older model, please let us know. We sometimes come across some of the older ones. This was the first official model with the Aerus name change. In my opinion, age is not a big factor in an Electrolux because they last for so long. What you need to look at is condition and how they have been treated. In my opinion, I would not be scared off by a 10 or 15 year Electrolux. If properly maintained, you probably have another 15 years of use left. You could go through 5 super store plastic vacuums in that amount of time.As we have serviced, repaired and rebuilt thousands of Electrolux or Aerus Vacuums we have not noticed any problems and they are powerful dependable vacuums that you will love. The only exception to that is the Electrolux Renaissance. That was the 1st model that they put the switches to control the vacuum in the hose handle and they had some problems with that hose going out after awhile. I think for the money they are an excellent value. I think if you get the models 6500, Guardian, 8000, 9000 canister models you are fine and the uprights I would go with the Gray Epic 3500 models and you would be fine. If you want to buy a brand new Electrolux (now Aerus) product you will need to contact Aerus directly as that is the only way to buy new units. If you want to save some money and buy reconditioned then you can shop at our store at the link below. Those are made by a different vacuum company (Proteam) but the quality and power is just as good if not better. Those we sell new but I have not been able to find another company in Canister Vacuums that make as good a quality of Canister Vacuums as Electrolux does. Something went wrong. Includes bags, manual and accessories with caddy! Both motors work great, light comes on when brush motor (2nd motor) is turned on, full bag indicator. Cord does not I did take it apart and cleaned it up. I replaced the belt and brushroll, The power nozzle did work when I was testing it. Either this can be used for ELECTROLUX ELECTRIC ACCESSORY KIT Features: CS 3500 35' full. One week ago, I finally found a machine. There were no funky smells. The suction motor worked, but the brushroll motor did not.Further disassembly showed no water damage to the suction motor or the bag compartment, so my guess is that it saw flooding and then was either forgotten about or sent off to the Goodwill. I cleaned the brushroll, as there is a lot of life left in the bristles, and have decided to use it for the time being. It is quite solid, too, not creaky and loose-feeling, as I would have expected from a plastic machine. I've done my research, and am aware that this machine is on the anemic side when it comes to suction, but what I need to get used to is the difference in design.Enjoy Doug The suction is pretty good, much better than a fan-first vacuum with their attachments but not strong like the traditional elux tank. Try to find an inexpensive attachment set on ebay to play around with. An electric hose came with this model to accept a mini power nozzle for furniture and stairs. You can see the cord port on the back of the machine where the handle inserts.Video Downloads Digital Millennium Copyright Act Policy Our Privacy Policy. Do not allow food spills with a high sugar or acid content (such as milk, tomatoes, sauerkraut, fruit juices or pie filling) to remain on the surface as they may cause a dull spot even after cleaning. To Remove Heavy Soil: 1. Allow a dish of ammonia to sit in the oven overnight or for several hours with the oven door closed. Clean softened dirt spots using hot, soapy water. Rinse well with water and a clean cloth. 2. If soil remains, use a soap-filled scouring pad or a nonabrasive cleaner. If necessary, use an oven cleaner following manufacturer's instructions. DO NOT mix ammonia with other cleaners. 3. Clean any soil from the oven frame, the door liner outside the oven door gasket and the small area at the front center of the oven bottom. Clean with hot, soapy water. Rinse well using clean water and a cloth. Adhere to the following precautions when using oven cleaners: 1. DO NOT spray cleaner on the electrical controls or switches because it could cause a short circuit and result in sparking or fire. 2. DO NOT allow a film from the cleaner to build up on the temperature sensing bulb; it could cause the oven to heat improperly. (The bulb is located on the left interior wall of the oven.) Carefully wipe the bulb clean after each oven cleaning, being careful not to move the bulb. A change in its position could affect how the oven bakes. Avoid bending the bulb and capillary tube. 3. DO NOT spray any cleaner on the oven door trim or gasket, broiler drawer glides, handles or any exterior surfaces of the range, plastic or painted surfaces. The cleaner can damage these surfaces. Cteaning the Oven Bottom The oven bottom is porcelain enamel and can be removed for easier cleaning. Clean using hot, soapy water, a mild abrasive cleanser, a soap-filled abrasive pad or oven cleaner following manufacturer's instructions. Read and follow the Care and Cleaning instructions to ensure that proper cooktop operation and appearance will be maintained throughout the lifetime of the product. Several materials and finishes are used in the cooktop. Each material and finish must be properly cleaned according to the following recommendations. Failure to follow these recommendations may result in permanent damage to the cooktop. Proper cleaning is necessary to maintain cooktop performance and appearance, while also ensuring safe operation. The cleaning effort necessary to maintain the cooktop varies according to the type and amount of cooking. For example, more frequent cleaning is required if the cooktop is used often for frying or other high temperature operations. Clean the cooktop thoroughly prior to operating it the first time. For initial and everyday cleaning, use a soft cloth or sponge lightly dampened with a solution of warm water and hand dishwashing liquid to clean all components. Do not drop the grates into place. 4 Use caution when cooking to avoid spills as much as possible. Porcelain is acid-resistant but not acid-proof, so some foods can cause permanent damage if allowed to remain on porcelain surfaces. Daily cleaning of the grates, burner heads, burner base and burner caps is best accomplished with a soft cloth or sponge dampened in a solution of warm water and hand dishwashing liquid. Grates are dishwasher safe. Burner caps should not be cleaned in the dishwasher. Stubborn stains may be removed by applying full-strength, all purpose cleaning sprays. (If you are unable to locate these cleaning compounds, please phone the Electrolux Customer Service Department for a referral.) Always wipe stainless steel surfaces with the grain. Rinse with a soft cloth. Do not use abrasives or commercial oven cleaners. Stubborn stains may be removed by washing the grates in a dishwasher, using normal dishwashing detergent. These components should be washed regularly in warm, soapy water. Hand dishwashing liquid is excellent for this task. Knobs should be removed by gently pulling them straight out and off of the valve shafts. Use caution to avoid introduction of moisture into the control panel behind the bezels. Thoroughly clean and dry the igniters to prevent constant sparking of the re-ignition system. Refer to the Cleaning the Burner Igniters section for cleaning tips. To remove the burner head, first remove the grate, then lift off the burner cap. The burner head may then be removed from the burner base. Soak the burner heads and burner caps in a warm solution of hand dishwashing liquid and water, then rinse welt with clean water. Dry the burner thoroughly. This condition can cause erratic or continuous sparking. Keeping the igniters clean and dry will help to reduce this problem. To avoid unnecessary and costly service calls, the homeowner should perform periodic cleaning of the igniters. To clean the igniters: i 2 Be sure the burners are cool to the touch. Remove the grate, burner cap and burner heads. Clean completely around the igniter, including over and under the edge of the metal cap and base. Use care while cleaning here. Parts of the igniter are porcelain and can be fragile. 3 DO NOT USE WATER when cleaning the igniters. If a liquid must be used to clean the igniter effectively, use only a small amount of rubbing alcohol. 4 After cleaning, reinstall the burner ring, burner cap and grate. Make sure the brass burner ring is properly seated into the burner base. 5 Test the burners. If erratic clicking is still present, make sure the igniter is completely dry. Glass cleaners may be used if sprayed on a soft cloth first. DO NOT spray liquids directly on the control s area. Do not use large amounts of water on the control )anel - excess water on the control area may cause damage to the appliance. Do not use other liquid cleaners, abrasive cleaners, scouring pads, or some paper towels - they will damage the finish Before cleaning the control panel, turn all controls OFF. Glass cleaners may be used if sprayed on a soft cloth first. DO NOT spray liquids directly on the control area. Wipe with a soft cloth or paper towel. DO NOT use abrasive cleaners or scouring )ads. These can permanently damage the control panel surface. Gentle scouring with a soapy scouring pad will remove most spots. Rinse with a 1:1 solution of clear water and ammonia. If necessary, cover difficult spots with an ammonia-soaked paper towel for 30 to 40 minutes. Rinse with clean water and a damp cloth, and then scrub with a soap filled scouring pad. Rinse and wipe dry with a clean cloth. Remove all cleaners, or the porcelain may become damaged during future heating. Clean with hot, soapy water and a dishcloth. Rinse with clean water and a cloth.
