The problem was the wire was just too close to the other coils and trimmers. This is why it is always best to try and keep stuff routed per the assembly manual. Thanks for watching. With an RF signal generator you want to keep all of the RF in the box. Note that Eico put the line filter inside of the shielded part of the generator. Eico did a fair job of shielding with chassis.
