Good luckGrundbedingungen waren USB-Anschluss fur externe Speichermedien, Hdmi-Anschluss und Navigation im DVD-Menu. Ein interner, fest eingebauter Datentrager kam fur mich nicht in Frage, da es meine Pramissen u. a. eher auf einen schnellen Massenspeicherwechsel liegen. Schnell war das gute Stuck geliefert. Das schicke, schlicht schwarze Hochglanz-Outfit des Gerates (in der Gro?e eines Mac Minis, und damit wesentlich gro?http://crimeindiaonline.com/userfiles/daewoo-dw-k500c-user-manual.xmler als der WD TV mini) ist den Fingerabdrucken nicht abgeneigt, lassen sich aber nach der Installation der diversen Stecker (Hdmi, Komponent, USB, Stromzufuhrung) mit einem weichen Tuch rasch entfernen. Komponent-, Audio- und sogar ein Hdmi-Kabel liegen dem Gerat bei. Die mitgelieferte Bedienungsanleitung in englisch und chinesisch hat wohl mehr den Sinn, dass uberhaupt etwas Schriftliches beiliegt. Eine CD mit Handbuch in PDF-Form liegt dem Gerat bei, ich habe mich aber bereits vorher im Internet mit den notwendigen Daten versorgt. Dort kann man das etwas ausfuhrlichere Handbuch in Englischer Sprache herunter laden. Na, hoffentlich trubt der etwas unprofessionelle Anschein dieses Pamphlets nicht den bisherigen Eindruck nachhaltig. Na dann, also Start: Der MediaTank fahrt schnell hoch und zeigt ein nicht ganz so ungewohntes Startmenu: So ahnlich sieht es beim MSI HD1000 auch aus, allerdings gibt es beim Egreat R2A ein paar weitere Optionen und Einstellmoglichkeiten. Uber die eigentumlichen deutschen Ubersetzungen wurden ja schon Worte verloren, gehe ich also nicht gesondert ein, benutze es eh in englischer Sprache. Schon, dass auf dem Gerat bereits eine aktuelle Firmware installiert war; noch aktuellere finden sich zwar im Egreat-Forum, aber aus Erfahrung lasse ich da mal lieber die Finger von, so lange diese Versionen nicht bei Egreat offiziell auf der Download-Seite stehen. Die angeschlossene, externe Festplatte (Trekstor DataStor 1,5TB) und deren Inhalt wurde auf Anhieb erkannt. Nach dem ersten Einlesen der Verzeichnisse geht die Navigation durch das Verzeichnis-Menu flott und ohne Verzogerungen. Sehr nette Extras: die Zeitsprungfunktion (Time Seek) und der Zoom (2x, 3x, 4x, 8x) direkt vom Egreat heraus, ohne dass man die TV-Bildformate andern muss. Und alles lauft ohne Ruckeln oder Aussetzer. So habe ich mir das gewunscht. Das Bild ist einfach nur klasse. Im Vergleich zu einem hochwertigen DVD-, bzw.http://superbia.lgbt/flotaganis/1653119160 BD-Player kann ich in der Grundeinstellung keinen Unterschied in der Bildqualitat feststellen. Da ich den MediaTank ausschlie?lich als Video-Station benutze, kann ich die MP3- und Foto-Funktionen nicht rezensieren. Den Egreat mit einen Hama-WLAN-Stick an das heimische Netzwerk anzuschlie?en misslang vollig; da werde ich mich nach einem passenden USB-Stick umsehen. Fazit: Warum nicht gleich so. Der WD-TV HD hatte schon ein super Bild uber Hdmi-Anschluss, aber fur meine Belange viel zu wenige (teils fehlende Basis-) Funktionen. Der MSI HD1000 hatte alle gewunschten Anschlusse, ein ahnliches Bildschirmmenu wie beim Egreat R2A, allerdings hatte dieser nach einem Firmware-Update meine Externen nicht mehr erkannt und nervte zusatzlich mit einem extrem hochfrequenten Gerausch. Zu den MP3-Fahigkeiten haben sich ja auch schon Vor-Rezensenten genauer ausgelassen: Dafur ist der Egreat R2A noch immer nicht wirklich tauglich.Ist alles gesagt und stimmte auch. Die Auslieferung mit der letzten Firmware brachte dann auch die beschriebenen Probleme mit sich. Das waren der Zugriff auf Win7, NAS ging nicht usw. Und siehe da, alles bestens. Danach ist selbst der Update der Firmware von USB uber das Menu moglich. Also keine Resettastendruckerei notig. Die Funktionen, welche zusatzlich moglich sind (Internet Video und Musikdienste) werten das Gerat auf. Aufschrauben, einstecken-einrasten, zwei Schrauben und das war es dann auch schon. Das Gerat ist trotz angeschlossenem Lufter flusterleise. Zusammengefasst: Kaufen ja, aber Firmware andern. Sonst keine drei Sterne wert. Spielt alles und das auch ISO und in jeder Menustruktur von HD und sonst wo. Mediathek anlegen mit Bild und Vorschau geht, und selbst die Jukebox kann benutzt werden. Ich wei? nur noch nicht, wie das genau mit den Daten geht. Negatives: Habe plotzlich Dateien verloren und konnte einen Ordner nicht loschen. Der NAS schutz naturlich nicht vor Datenverlust, da ja kein RAID. Nicht jedes Gerat kann intern eine Festplatte aufnehmen und mit funktionsreicher Firmware aufgewertet (funktionsfahiger!!!) werden. Danke fur die anderen guten Rezensionen. So war ich auf das Gerat vorbereitet und habe damit bewusst entscheiden konnen!Also erstmal Lob an Amazon und SKY Distribution. Das die Mp3 Abspielfunktion nicht so das gelbe vom Ei ist, hat einer meiner Vorredner bereits erlautert. Also zwei Stucke die eigentlich direkt ineinander ubergehen, werden durch eine 2 sekundige Pause auseinander gerissen. Was auch blod ist, ist die Tatsache, dass man erst die Tonausgabe auf Stereodownmix uber spdif umstellen muss, wenn man MP3's anhoren will. Ich hatte fur die Filmwiedergabe naturlich auf spdif raw gestellt, damit das ganze in Surround da rauskommt. Mit dieser Einstellung kommt aber von den MP3s kein Ton. Umgekehrt werden dann die Filme auch auf nen normalen stereo Downmix beschrankt wenn man nicht spdif raw gewahlt hat. Aber ich werd den Player eh nicht zum MP3's abspielen nehmen. Dafur ist die Playersoftware einfach zu unausgereift. Das Abspielen von diversen Videos (AVI's, DVD's, BluRay's) ist jedoch uberhaupt kein Problem und lauft wie geschmiert. Da ruckelt nix, das Bild ist erste Sahne und der Ton ein Traum. Auch die Bedienung mit der Fernbedienung klappt wunderbar und es fuhlt sich an, als hatte man ne DVD oder BD eingelegt. Menunavigation lauft bestens. Das abspielen von Fotoshows ist auch nett. Einzig die Sache mit dem Firmware Update bereitet mir noch Kopfzerbrechen. So wie es von einigen hier beschrieben wurde (FW runterladen, auf n USB Stick packen, anschlie?en und FW Updaten) funktioniert es bei mir nicht. Habe auch die Version mit dem Recovery Button drucken auf der Unterseite versucht, jedoch ohne Erfolg. Letztendlich hab ichs bei der alten Firmware belassen. Wenn jemand noch Rat wei?, darf er gerne einen Kommentar hinterlassen!:-) Die Einbindung ins Netzwerk habe ich noch nicht vorgenommen, werde mich aber dazu spater au?ern, wenn es da Probleme geben sollte. Eigentlich wurde ich 3,5 Sterne geben. Das mit dem Mp3 Player kratzt mich nicht so aber die Geschichte mit dem FW Update ist schon argerlich. (Scheint aber nur mein Problem zu sein:-) Jedenfalls hab ich's von keinem anderen gehort.) Edit: Nach nun endlich erfolgreichem Firmware Update (siehe Rezensionskomentare) ist es nun moglich, die Audioausgaben flexibler zu gestalten. So kann man z.B. furs AC3 oder DTS Format den spdif raw Modus und fur alles andere den spdif Downmix Modus einstellen, sodass man nicht mehr umstandlich umstellen muss, wenn man mp3's horen will. Immernoch keine luckenlose Wiedergabe (gapless playing), Titelinformationen wie Trackname, Interpret, Genre, Album etc.Eine Pause Funktion ist ebenfalls nicht moglich. Schade, dass solch einfache Bedienungen anscheinend immer noch nicht bei den Entwicklern im Bewusstsein sind. In Sachen MP3 Player besteht also seitens des Herstellers immernoch jede Menge Nachholbedarf. Der bei der Fotoshow hinzugefugte Ken Burns Effekt wirkt etwas zu statisch und zoomt m.E. nicht weit genug in die Fotos hinein. Er schiebt sie lediglich leicht von oben nach unten. Daruber hinaus stoppt der KB Effekt auch einfach irgendwann wenn man die Anzeigedauer der Fotos auf 5 sec. Die hinzugefugten Internetoptionen (youtube) sind ganz nett, wobei auch hier die Bedienung teilweise echt zu umstandlich gestaltet ist.MP3, WMA, Flac, etc. Werbraucht da noch Ishit. Die Netzwerkanbindung supereinfach !Ausfuhrlicher haben ja die Vorredner schon daruber berichtet. Ich habe einen Media Player gesucht der alle Formate abspielen kann und wurde nicht enttauscht. Positiv: Zu diesem Gerat kann ich nur sagen, dass es meine Erwartungen bei Weitem ubertroffen hat. Die Ma?e sind au?erst kompakt und der allgemeine au?erliche Eindruck ist solide. Unschlagbar ist die Anzahl der verschiedenen unterstutzten Videoformate und die Qualitat des uber HDMI ubertragenen Bildes ist exzellent. Die Menufuhrung ist elegant und uberschaubar und trotz kleinerer Ubersetzungsfehler keineswegs unverstandlich oder kompliziert. Das Gerat ist etwa nach 15Sek. Ebenfalls per USB kann man seine digitalisierte DVD-Sammlung ( Originale mussen naturlich behalten werden;) auf HDD ubertragen, was fur 5GB je nach Platte ca. 7Min dauert. Das Betriebsgerausch ist abhangig von der verbauten Festplatte und zumindest bei mir angenehm leise. Das aktuellste Firmwareupgrade ist einfach zu installieren und es scheint, als ob der Hersteller, im Gegensatz zu anderen weitaus namenhafteren der Branche, regelma?iger Firmwareupdates auf den Markt bringt. Negatives: Viel fallt mir da nicht ein, mal abgesehen davon, dass das Betriebs-LED extrem hellgrun blendendes Licht produziert. Ubertragungsfehler zwischen Gerat und LCD-TV per HDMI-Kabel sind mir bisher nicht aufgefallen. Die Fernbedienung macht auf den ersten Blick zwar einen etwas billigen Eindruck und ihr Druckpunkt ist gewohnungsbedurftig, jedoch bei genauerem Hinsehen stellt sie sich als sehr funktionell heraus und liegt gut in der Hand. Fazit: Mit einer SATA-Festplatte zusammen hat man in diesem Produkt eine leistungsfahige und fur diesen Preis sehr gunstige Mediacenter-Variante, die mich personlich voll uberzeugt hat. Golbeck 4,0 von 5 Sternen Meine Kriterien waren: FullHD 1080p, vielfaltige Formatunterstutzung (von DVD-Dateien bis mkv.) sowie Moglichkeit des Einbaus einer interner Festplatte.Auf der Unterseite befinden sich 4 kleine Schrauben um den das Gerat zu offnen. Ein kleiner Lufter ist am Gehause ebenfalls schon integriert, allerdings nicht am Steckplatz angeschlossen.(vermutlich nur fur Einbau einer internen Platte gedacht) Auf der Hauptplatine befindet sich eine SATA-Steckbuchse um eine 3,5'' Festplatte direkt aufzustecken. Zwei weitere Schrauben (im Lieferumfang enthalten) geben der Platte genugend halt. Der Lufter selbst lauft erstaunlich ruhig und fallt nur bei sehr genauen Hinhoren auf. So, zum Bildschirmmenu.alles sehr gut beschrieben und einfach zu bedienen (Menusprache in englisch ausgeliefert). Man kann naturlich die Menusprache auf Deutsch stellen, allerdings sind hier und da kleinere Ubersetzungsfehler drin. Habe mir auf der Herstellerseite das aktuelle Firmwareupdate 1.0.3.5 heruntergeladen (auch in der Hoffnung auf Bereinigung der Ubersetzungsfehler). Die Datei ist ein img-File und mu.Die neue Firmware scheint den Player in den Funktionen Blu-Ray,Netzwerk und IMS-Surfbox etwas aufzuwerten. However I am not able to get DTS audio through the toslink for the DTS HD track. My AV receiver does not have HDMI so I am using the optical in. Raw meaning the R200 will not do any single job of downmixing, just passthru all sound signal to the AVR to do the decoding job. LCPM 2CH is downmixing job done by R200 and then pass the signal out to AVR to output. AVr cannot decode DTS or AC3 anymore since it already been downmixed to stereo by R200.
