The editors will have a look at it as soon as possible. I have already downloaded the owners manual. This stove will fit perfectly where our old fireplace was located. If I had enlarged the area I could have went with a larger stove (maybe a future project). The booklet is for the Efel Arden, the Efel Montana and the Efel Sherwood. It says that it contains assembly, installation, operating and maintenance instructions. There is nothing in it that is not discussed somewhere on this forum. Ideal for heating smaller rooms, the Harmony 5, like all of the Nestor Martin stoves, can bring the most out of the fuel you burn. They have been tested to meet the strictest standards of ef?ciency and emissions. Economic, elegant and easy to use, the Harmony 5 will bring you a lifetime of warmth and satisfaction. We work out the trending price by crunching the data on the product's sale price over the last 90 days. New refers to a brand-new, unused, unopened, undamaged item, while Used refers to an item that has been used previously. Hello! Our normally reliable Efel propane stove is suddenly not behaving. The pilot will light and after holding it for 60 seconds or so, when I turn the knob to ignite the logs, the pilot just goes out. Normally, we don't keep the pilot lit and only use when it's stormy (like today!) or we're having a cold spell.Bought on a whim before I checked was Hi all, I have a 5kw efel harmony 5 oil stove and am looking where to download or view a servicing manual for it. The stove is top OR rear flue outlet, very easily configurable with the existing parts on the back of the stove. Currently set for top outlet. Comes complete with one 910mm length of matching enamel flue pipe plus a short 240mm length. The flue is 100mm diameter. The stove can be used with the gas valve operating thermostatically or the thermostat can be manually overridden to maintain the flame at a desired constant setting. The enamel work is really nice and clean. This stove would have retailed at around ?1,500. The Efel make is very much top of the range in terms of quality and design. For longer distances I will be using the services of a pallet shipping company and their standard terms and conditions will apply. An AM delivery is available for an additional ?13.50 and a timed delivery for ?20.00 or Saturday AM for additional ?40.00. The shipper MUST HAVE a reliable phone number to coordinate the delivery with the buyer. To be able to use the pallet pump truck effectively the surface must be flat and constructed of either tarmac or concrete. They are unable to move goods using a pump truck on a gravel drive for instance. In this instance, the result would have to be a kerb-side delivery. Responsibility for getting the item into a house ALWAYS lies with the buyer. The ideal scenario would be for the delivery to be dropped off in an easily accessed garage, where it can be left secure and dry until installed. The price paid is for one delivery attempt. Should the delivery fail, an additional charge may be made, for which the eBay buyer will be liable. Deliveries can be made any time from 9am until 5pm.http://genesisrealtycorp.com/images/case-580m-parts-manual.pdf The buyer MUST satisfy himself that the item has been delivered in good condition before the delivery agent leaves. Especially look for external damage to the packaging. You are the light of the world. Failure to follow instructions may resu lt in property damage or bodily injury. Has anybody purchased a Nestor Martin recently its the Harmony model. If so are they economical and efficient and provide a good heating supply. Oil stoves have vapourizing burners with a catalyst so make sure the installer is certified with OFTEC 102. There is a bit in setting them up and the oil supply pipe must be correctly installed. Ventilation, flue draught and flue terminal is critical. Installed correctly they are a very nice unit and very good to heat one room. Very good to suit varying lifestyle, turn on, turn off, etc.I think its a Harmony 5 model. I am putting it into a living room with double door off into a kitchen. Have I too many expectations. !!!! They can be very good at heating, so it may or may not heat an adjacent room, depending on room sizes. I may even shop around as there are a number of OFTEC technicians in the area so I can see if I can get a better price for installation. The site identified the best value for money and oil is in there after coal and gas which is'ent bad all things taken into account. Thanks again The chap who installed it mentioned that I might need to raise the oil tank up a foot or make sure I had at least 3 ft of oil in the tank. Do you think this might be why the slower ignition. I have done the de-coking process.Of course this could be the issue, except if the float valve is full, it will not affect the burner. The feed is not direct to the burner. The issue could be an issue with the kerosene supply, i.e the sulphur content. Speak to your supplier as some offer different grades that are more suitable for vapourizing burners. Is there also a non-closable vent in the room. Another check is the flue draught, is the flue termination point open to wind variations? We found it a bit troublesome for a number of years at the beginning, would not burn clean and calling out various professionals did not seem to get to the bottom of the problems. However, we finally figured out how to get the best from the unit and are so happy with it, I'm thinking of fitting a 2nd one in another part of the house that could do with the constant flow of silent, effortless, low-cost heat.If the unit is getting starved of fuel during normal operation (i.e. you haven't deliberately turned it off), it will begin to burn yellow flames.Sounds like a lot of work, but I only need to do this operation a few times a season, at the start and 6-8 weeks into the winter. It's worth the effort as the unit will burn really clean after this and the glass will stay perfectly clean for weeks. The trick is to get the bottom of the pot very clean so the fuel can spread out evenly, that's how the vapor burns evenly up through the pot.Back in the early days we used to turn off the unit overnight, re-starting in the am, it would get clogged with the gunk very quickly.Hopefully that is some useful tips for you. Another tip is if the unit goes out, do not turn it back on until it completely cools down. You could have an explosive ignition due to fuel vapour. Ensure there is a permanent non-closable vent installed in the room sized to suit the output of the stove. Install a carbon monoxide alarm in the room. The fire valve must be of the remote acting type with a 90C shut off, not the normal 65C. It burn is blue once warmed up and up and running, any suggestions welcome Ask any of the stove merchants and see what they are selling. I recently took out an oil stove from a property and installed a solid fuel stove due to the running costs. If you want to have oil heating in your home consider a high efficiency condensing oil boiler to heat your radiators.Ask any of the stove merchants and see what they are selling. I recently took out an oil stove from a property and installed a solid fuel stove due to the running costs. The bigger the output of the stove the more you have to feed it and solid fuel prices has gone up considerably also. It burn is blue once warmed up and up and running, any suggestions welcomeIs there a sufficient permanently opened vent in the room. Was it serviced recently? What price is a litre of heating oil today and what price do you think a litre of heating oil will be in another 6 years. Any plumber or stove merchant worth his salt will tell the op the true running costs of an oil stove to maintain a 20c room temperture. The op needs to find out the oil consumption per hour to maintain comfortable room temperture using a heating calculator. In my opinion I would not recommend an oil stove unless the person was elderly with limited mobility, even then I would feel guilty with this and would first look at any alternatives that may be suitable to upgrade any existing system which is grant aided through the SEAI I have not installed it yet but would like to know any other owners experience. I recently had one installed. Actually replaced an Waterford Stanley Oil Stove over 15 years old. I had an experience with the new one recently. I was away for a week and when I tried starting it up again, it went out. Rang the installer and her told me that the chimney was cold and to leave the door open slightly when starting to light it. Have you had any such experience. Any advice much appreciated. I recently had one installed. Actually replaced an Waterford Stanley Oil Stove over 15 years old. Any advice much appreciated. It is does light with the window open, then this confirms it is a ventilation issue. If it still won't light, it is a flue issue or a burner issue. It's for a kitchen, 56 cubic meters, average insulation and a bit draughty but we're working on that. According to guidelines 5KW should be enough. By the way, where exactly is the float level. After about 5 days from last cleanup of interior of stove, flame turns to yellow. You need to get someone to. However, it's also why, even on top quality stoves, baffle plates tend to burn out. Baffle plates are positioned at the hottest possible part of the stove and take the full brunt of the very high temperatures day-in and day-out. So whether your baffle plate is made of traditional cast iron ( Baby Gabriel ), heavy steel plate ( Dunsley Highlander 5 ), stainless steel ( Esse 100 ) or vermiculite board, you'll eventually have to replace it. How often this needs to happen depends on the type of fuel you burn, the size of the fuel load and how you burn your fuel. Some stove owners can burn through their stove baffle plate in a matter of months and conversely some owners can make theirs last for years. A baffle plate on a boiler stove, for example, will not tend to last as long as a baffle plate on a non-boler stove, simply because boiler stoves generally need to be burned 'harder' over longer periods to maximise the heat to the hot water, especially where there are lots of central heating radiators in the system. As a matter of interest, smokeless mineral fuels (eg Homefire Ovals) do not have the same flame height as an equivalent wood log load and therefore can be easier on a boiler stove baffle plate (but not necessarily on your CO2 emissions!). If you regularly need to replace your stove baffle plate then you should review how you operate your stove by referring to your owners manual which should contain advice on recommended fuel types and fuel loads, as well as instructions on how to effectively operate your stove. One thing's for sure, quickly burning out a baffle plate means that you are probably not only wasting money on replacement baffle plates but also wasting money on fuel. This is probably because you're over-firing your stove and producing excess heat which is wasted through the flue system. An easy to use magnetic flue pipe thermostat will help you to monitor your flue gas temperature and can clearly indicate when you're over-firing your stove. In The Stove Yard's opinion a flue pipe thermostat is one of the best value-for-money stove accessories you could buy, not only because it helps you to maximise the efficiency of your stove, but it also makes you aware of when your stove is potentially operating dangerously by being over-fired. Since it is very easy to abuse a stove and burn out a baffle plate within a heating season by simply ignoring the manufacturer's recommended fuels and operating instructions, it's also easy to see why most manufacturers now exclude baffle plates, fire grates, fire fences and glass from their normal Warranty terms. Remember, you can buy a replacement baffle plate or any other wood burner or multi fuel stove spare from Stove Spare Parts. The owner used mainly softwood (it was free) which required a substantially bigger fuel load than the equivalent hardwood load needed to generate the same heat. This meant that the fuel and flames were too close to the baffle plate and the extremely high temperatures which were created caused the baffle plate to warp and eventually fail (there is no middle left!). This stove had a rear fitted flue and it wasn't until the owners noticed the flue pipe was glowing red that they realised they had any kind of problem.
