After trying to see if something was broken I found a few others online who had the same problem and it was fixed by replacing a small part - the capacitor - which doesnt look broken. Everyone continued to tell me that I needed a new heating element, clean lint trap, etc. However, I took the front off of the dryer and located the heating element. On the front of the heating element, in between two wires, there is a red button. Push the button and you might hear a click that sounds similar to a circuit breaker. It is a reset button for the heating element. Try that and it might help. The dryer is now in level 0 of the diagnostic mode. Press the Auto Dry up or down buttons to scroll through the fault levels. There are several levels of diagnostics, most of which are used in development and production. These levels may bring on various LEDs, but the level of use for the service technician is that of the last fault. Last Fault To enter the last fault diagnostics, enter the diagnostic mode as described above, then press the Auto Dry up button three times. The last fault will be displayed on the drying progress LEDs. The manual is here If you need further help, reach me via phone at Sandy Login to post You can get a user manual from this site. I switched it off and removed the sheets. I turned it off at the power point and then switched it back on. All the lights were working and when I pressed start, there was a humming sound and the tumbler would not work. Any ideas?? Tried calling their customer care number for a week and it just rang out. I bought my dryer 3weeks ago and it showed err4 after a week. The only technician that can service my area said over the phone that he's too busy, it's a new model and he doesn't know what this code means. I now have a new dryer that won't work with rainy days and a full house worth of washing to do and nobody knows or can tell me what err4 means. If I knew I could try and fix the damn thing myself. If we press the door in it will start again until it stops again to spin back the other way but will not re-start. Press in the door and it starts again. Any ideas how to fix this. Like Share More 3 answers Rose L 5 years ago Sorry Richard I have never had a problem with the door, so I think you would need to see why the door isn't closing properly in the first place. Something around the hinges or lock maybe, escaped lint, or a slight tap to the hinges to align properly. If not you need to contact a technician to have a look. Like Report GeoffS 5 years ago Hi Richard, we have exactly the same issue. The dryer works for a while and then stops part of the way through the cycle.
