The light-, and function keys 1 to 8 show the current state of the function via LEDs. But take heed: ECoS performance is so As is expected of ESU, from the beginning we wanted to be open to, and M4 is completely compatible. You can even continue to ECoS is therefore the only digital command station worldwide that unifies 4 data protocols. In combination with the touch screen, you can control up to 20 functions per engine. You can even use s88 occupancy detectors or ECoSDetector A programming track establishes contact with your decoders. You also have the possibility to feedback the turnout position With the integrated Thus you can update Each locos characteristics are memorized, so in the future you can call each engine by name. Also you can assign a loco symbol and these symbols keep you abreast of the function of each loco, regardless of whether its latching or non-latching. An extensive navigational menu takes care of finding your locos quickly; and running them. Locos equipped with an mfx decoder will be recognized automatically by the ECoS and can be driven without any restrictions.http://cobansazgrubu.com/userfiles/cuisinart-pressure-cooker-user-manual.xml The large control panel on the screen of your ECoS shows you all turnouts and their switch-position. You can put turnouts in the depot area and to each magnetic accessory you can assign its exact function, so you can tell simple-, double or 3-way turnouts apart from de-coupler tracks or even streetlights, etc. If you do not wish to use this decoder, you can simply convert your turntable via a LokPilot V3.0 decoder. We offer a substantial manual that describes how to do it. Routes can then be switched like singular turnouts or they can be tied to an occupancy detector: Thus extensive block-control management is possible already. ECoS can manage up to 1024 routes with up to 256 magnetic accessories each. Put all signals and turnouts directly off the track plan. Even larger layouts can be displayed on the track plan, as it may consist of up to 99 pages. The pages can be arranged and renamed individually. The magnetic accessories shown on the track plan correlate with the ones that are placed in the accessory control panel; so its up to you how and with what you switch your magnetic accessories. This works with any decoder because the brain of the system sits in the central unit. Up to eight shuttle trains are possible. All parameters are shown in plain text. Of course you can call up and check all features of your decoder (during operation on the layout) on the main. POM (programming on the main) makes it possible. The addresses of your old Motorola decoders are ascertained automatically - never again do you have to take your engines apart and check the DIP switch. This is made possible through the built-in EcoSniffer: The rail output of your present digital command station is simply connected to the input of the EcoSniffer module. The module listens to all DCC and Motorola packets and translates them for the ECoS command station. This again treats your old system like one (or more) additional throttles or keyboards.http://www.bosport.be/newsletter/boss-bd-2-manual From our early days as a general hardware store in Baltimore, Maryland, to now, as a leading name in the model train business. The ECoS offers you state of the art digital technology and a unique functional scope with which both (new) beginners as well as “Experts” who are looking for a new headquarters will not be disappointed. The operation of the unit is thanks to a Large colour display with touch panel and customized user interface. All Icons are large and clearly arranged, information is displayed in plain text in various Languages. There is also an included stylus for the display. This will now become 50210 ECoS 2.1. The ECoS offers you state of the art digital technology and a unique functional scope with which both (new) beginners as well as “Experts” who are looking for a new headquarters will not be disappointed. There is also an included stylus for the display. The ECoS has two integrated lanes. Each console is equipped with motor-Grip control as well as 9 function buttons. The independent control of two means that locomotives can always be viewed without a cumbersome view. Every locomotive Is registered in the integrated locomotive database and can be specified individually with a name as well as a Locomotive image. You can find suitable pictures in the “Lokbild-Bazar” on The ESU homepage, or you design the images on your computer.Symbols illustrate at a glance whether they are simple Points, a decoupling track or a street lighting Switch. You can freely select the position of the switchboard at any time. The Track switching device, correspond in function and switching state (switch position) of the representation in the signal box.http://erka-techserv.com/images/carl-gustav-mauser-manual.pdf If desired, track sections can be linked with feedback contacts. In this way You can always see which tracks are occupied in the track monitor. These are the controlled by individual switches or connected to a feedback contact. The logic Is very powerful for the route control: Up to 8 individual conditions may apply, not only feedback contacts, but also the position of points can be linked and triggered making a true start-up operation possible as well as (simple) shadow station controls. For this purpose, you need a feedback contact at each end of the route, which is software-controlled. Locomotive duration of stay, acceleration and braking behavior are super easy to set up on the screen of the ECoS. You can, of course, also define interpositions. Programming decoders with your ECoS tries to make this process as easy as possible. You can freely adjust the output voltage to suit between 15V and 21V. The Integrated current monitor shows you the set voltage and the flowing current, on the screen. These operate extremely reliably and can, if required, show which locomotive is in the monitored section. Each ECoSBoost shows the current booster current in the ECoS current monitor, or you can also use your old DCC compatible boosters. Mobile Control II If you need more hand controls. Then extend your ECoS with the Mobile Control II. Control all your locomotives, turnouts or travel routes wirelessly by radio. You can use your existing digital system as a slave by connecting the track output of your old DCC system to the ECoSniffer input. This will listen to all DCC packages and translates it to the ECoS center. These provide several connection sockets for the ESU system buss ECoSLink and can provide additional feed current. The ECoSLink buss is a high-speed buss based on the CAN standard, to which all accessories are connected. The ECoSlink buss can be up to 100 meters long and supply the connected devices with energy. See this Forum-Theme (English). If you have problems connecting to Rocrail, try to connect the ECoS to your Web Browser using section 8.6 of the ECoS handbook (2011). The same IP address or hostname that was used connecting the ECoS to your Web Browser is the IP address or hostname you need to enter in Rocrail.Click the triple dot button on the right to open a web browser connection with the ECoS. Use a VNC Client to access the ECoS remote. This option is also needed to add a new loco into the Ecos and register new locos detected by the Ecos in Rocrail. With the Smartbox you can use ESU Detectors, but the GUI is missing to configure them. Currently, you can not configure it through the network interface. You can try to program using an ECoS (or otherwise) and then attach them to a Smartbox, they should work. See ESU Forum (in German): The best way is to provide ECoS with a static IP address; section 20.1.2 of the manual. In this example it is set to 192.168.10.50. Remark: Sometimes the PC (Win XP, SP3) can't connect the CS1 (ping timeout) via network although the IP address and the wiring is correct. In that case you should start the PC before the CS1 boots. Check if Rocrail PC can make a connection with ECoS: open the Web interface of the ECoS with an Internet browser Start the Rocrail server and the Rocrail GUI. Fill in the IP address (the one in this example) and the port number 15471 (this is a fixed value). Remove the not used controllers, stop the GUI and server, and restart Rocrail server and GUI. (in this sequence)The first time nothing happens because Rocrail is in Power Off and ECoS in GO (Power ON). Select it again. The ECoS should swap now to STOP mode. Repeat it and the ECoS swaps to GO and Rocrail shows Power On. If the settings for communicating with ECoS is correctly set then you can now start adding locomotives. When a new mfx locomotive is added to the ECoS, then a query against the Ecos Lok table is performed by the program. After this operation the new mfx locomotive is also immediately available for use in Rocrail. (Version 12637). The ID must match exactly with the name for this loco in the ECoS.For Motorola decoders the protocol may be set to 'Motorola', mfx decoders, however, require 'ServerDefined'. In order to do so for instance a throttle is opened and the loco is started. The ECoS is working with continuous addresses (see also Addressing ) whereas in Rocrail typically a different addressing scheme (MADA) is used: Address stands for the decoder number and Port is the number of the decoder output. On a standard decoder the ports 1 to 4 are available. The field Address in Rocrail therefore does not directly relate to the ECoS address! This is an example for ECoS address 26. You then associate two outputs of the ECoS detector extension to this accessory to reflect its state (one for the red led, one for the green led). Then in Rocview, you also define a signal of the same kind as the one defined in the ECoS, and with the same DCC address.Currently Rocrail defaults to 16 ports, thus continuous addresses are not possible. S88-1: sensor 1 through 16 and. S88-2: sensor 1 through 16. The addressing in Rocrail differs from the addressing in ECoS. For S88-1 the Rocrail addresses are 1 through 16, for S88-2 the addressing starts with 17 through 32, S88-3 would use address 33 - 48, etc.Once the 100th sensor (MADA 7.4, PADA 100) has been reached then the Rocrail addresses start with 1700, etc. To read the sensors Sensor Monitor. The ECoS has a large coloured display with high resolution. In combination with its ground-breaking and easily operated user interface and excellent coloured screen, ECoS has excellent ergonomics. ECoS has 9 function keys per integrated cab. The light and function keys 1 to 8 show the current state of the function via LEDs. ECoS Features With an ECoS command station you acquire an open system. Just like ESU decoders, the ECoS is a real multi-protocol command station. M4 is completely compatible. You can even continue to use almost all of your present loco decoders. ECoS is the only digital command station that unifies 4 data protocols. With an ECoS you can run locos via two integrated cabs with large, easy-grasp motor driven throttle knobs and nine precise click-function keys you control your locos. In combination with the touch screen, you can control up to 20 functions per engine. With ECoS you can plan and control routes: simply put turnouts and magnetic accessories graphically in groups and switch them together. Routes will be activated either by feedback contacts or by key. You can even use s88 occupancy detectors or ECoSDetector feedback modules. ECoS supports EcoSlink, a high-speed bus system, based on CAN, that transmits data instantaneously to the command station. ECoS makes programming decoders simple. The large, colored TFT screen offers good contrast and displays a lot of information in unabbreviated text. A programming track establishes contact with your decoders. You also have the possibility to feedback the turnout position via the SwitchPilot to the ECoS command station. ECoS is expandable. Each ECoS command station has a network port for connection with a computer allowing you to update software or use a computer for operation. Who needs ECoS? ECoS is basically the command station for all. Beginners, who are looking for a simple-to-operate cab, will be at home right away: the large, graphic touch screen display shows all information in plain text; in case of doubt use the integrated help function. ECoS makes it simple to switch to DCC. And ECoS runs DC or AC driven trains (compatible decoder provided). Even model railroaders, who already own a digital command station, can step up to ECoS: next to the extremely simple inputs, and the possibilities for route-and shuttle train programming, you will learn to appreciate the programming features for decoders. Due to its enormous output-performance, the ECoS command station is recommended especially for operators of Gauge 1 or G layouts: at last you can run multiple trains without an external booster. Total interplay with our LokSound XL V4.0 decoders is matter of fact. Features The large, coloured TFT display shows all information in plain words. There is a touch-sensitive screen that you can work either with your finger, or the provided peg. Each ECoS command station integrates a 6Amp DCC booster. Decoder programming takes place via a dedicated programming track. This is independent of the mainline and normal operation on the layout is not affected during programming. ECoSlink is robust (up to 100 metres cable length is no problem) and extremely fast. Each ECoS Command Station incorporates an isolated jack for s88 feedback modules. Track-occupancy information can be used for route- and shuttle train operation. An ECoSniffer jack is provided for connecting existing digital command stations. An isolated jack for connecting additional DCC boosters tops off the list of ECoS features. Functions The ECoS command station can manage up to 16384 locos. Each loco’s characteristics are memorized, so in the future you can call each engine by name. Also you can assign a loco symbol and these symbols keep you abreast of the function of each loco, regardless of whether it’s latching or non-latching. An extensive navigational menu takes care of finding your locos quickly and running them. Operate turnouts and magnetic accessories Just like locos, you can name turnouts and magnetic accessories. The large control panel on the screen of your ECoS shows you all turnouts and the switch-position. You can put turnouts in the depot area and to each magnetic accessory you can assign its exact function, so you can tell simple, double, or 3-way turnouts apart from signals and other DCC accessories. Routes Several magnetic accessories can easily be grouped as routes. Routes can then be switched like singular turnouts or they can be tied to an occupancy detector: Thus, extensive block-control management is possible already. ECoS can manage up to 1024 routes with up to 256 magnetic accessories each. Track plan If desired, a fully graphical track plan shows your layout directly on screen. Put all signals and turnouts directly on the track plan. Large layouts can be displayed on the track plan, as the plan may consist of up to 99 pages. The magnetic accessories shown on the track plan correlate with the ones that are placed in the accessory control panel. Shuttle train control Shuttle train control, which was introduced with the first ECoS, enjoys an increasing popularity due to its simple handling: here you only need an occupancy detector at each end of the track, which you assign via Software to a loco: length of layover, acceleration - and deceleration, or in-between stops can easily be programmed on the ECoS screen. This works with any decoder because the brain of the system sits in the central unit. Up to eight shuttle trains are possible. Keep using old systems We make your transfer to ECoS as comfortable as possible: simply keep also using your “old” system. This is made possible through the built-in EcoSniffer: The rail output of your present digital command station is simply connected to the input of the EcoSniffer module.Get started by browsing our product line or creating a new account. Therefore you can keep using almost all available locomotive decoders. This screen serves as the control console and menu control. In addition, the ECoS has two ergonomical controllers, two 2-way joysticks and two group function keys. The function keys also display the status of the function. Apart from the controllers and alternating tabs, the ECoS also comes with a rail plan. The rail plan can be composed of a maximum of 16 layers. The rail plan can also control the switches, the switch streets and the signals. Booster connection for an external booster, compatible with DCC and Marklin 6017. This way you can keep using your own booster. Connection for a programmable track. This means you can now read your locomotive decoder and program the locomotive any way you want. This applies to DCC, Selectrix and programmable Motorola decoders. Tested and complete. Photos are part of the description. The ECoS has - like most of the recent central stations - a large color display with high resolution. In combination with its ground-breaking and easily operated user interface and excellent contrast values of the color screen, ECoS reaches unprecedented ergonomics: unlike all the other central stations, the ECoS can be also operated without a stylus - all symbols and writings are hugely marked and clearly structured. The light-, and function keys 1 to 8 show the current state of the function via LEDs. Discover the fascinating possibilities of the ECoS command station on the following pages. But take heed: ECoS performance is so good, that even we had to re-read a few passages to believe it. ECoS FEATURES With an ECoS command station you acquire an open system. As is expected of ESU, from the beginning we wanted to be open to, and compatible with, present systems and norms. Just like our decoders, the ECoS is a real multi-protocol command station. ECoS is therefore the only digital command station worldwide that unifies 4 data protocols. With an ECoS you can run locos: via two integrated cabs with large, easy-grasp motor driven throttle knobs and nine precise click-function keys you control your locos. With ECoS you can operate shuttle trains very easily: put a rail contact at both ends of the track and ECoS will do the rest. With ECoS, never before has it been so simple to program your decoders: the large, color TFT screen offers good contrast and displays a lot of information in unabbreviated text. With the integrated analog controllers (joysticks) you can even control the whistle of LokSound decoders, never before more precisely. ECoS is expandable. Each ECoS command station sports a network port for connection with a computer. Thus you can update software or use a computer for operation. WHO NEEDS ECoS? ECoS is basically the command station for all. Never was it easier to switch to digital control. And ECoS runs DC or AC driven trains. Even model railroaders, who alredy own a digital command station, should step up to ECoS: next to the extreme simple inputs, and the possibilities for route-and shuttle train programming, you will learn to appreciate the manifold programming features for decoders. This turned out in the past often want a to be able to continue using the existing manual controls and feedback modules. In addition, instrument modules or feedback modules can be meaningfully integrated and used in an ESU system. What can the L.Net converter in practice? The hand controller display here is always in sync with the ECoS. There is also no limitation on a data format. With the help of these L.Net Converter can be integrated into the ECoS-play operation. The power supply can be carried out here directly by the L.Net converter, provided that the connected devices do not exceed a limit of 250mA. In ECoS use the contacts to trigger any driveways or commuter trains. The switch to an ECoS with the innovative, object-based communication model is therefore stony. With the intelligent ESU L.Net Converter you can finally replace your old headquarters completely by ECoS without much effort. Instructions in English language. ESU is widely believed to be the world's best digital system and this the best controller on the market. This item was bought in February 2012. It was installed on the saturday by a model railway shop. The owner died on the Sunday and the shop refused to take it back. I was asked by the owner's father to sell it as I have both had both digitrax and lenz systems. I have tested the item myself and its works beautifully. As far as I can tell all is present, altho I don't own an ESU controller myself. There is no European plug in the box. I am selling this item because the owner has died- it is hardly used. Item is fully tested. It will support 100 to 240 volts input, so will work worldwide, but currently only has a UK plug fitted which would not be difficult to change. It is the latest version with the new power supply. The old power supply had a switch to increase voltage for G scale, but the new power supply does not. I am not getting enough power to the tracks so I am thinking I am missing a setting. The manual so far for the latest version is only in German so I have no idea. Voltmeter is showing 14 volts in the track Would appreciate any help if someone has experience with this controller. Thank you, AdamConnect a full wave bridge to the track, put a small filter cap on the output and read with the DC scale to get a true reading. (Ordinary AC voltmeters are designed to read 60 Hz sine wave AC, not 100kHz square wave AC) Greg - 104It is the latest version with the new power supply. Thank you, Adam I assume you have the Ecos 50210, from what I have read the main difference between the 50200 and the 50210 is the output current and thus the requirement for a different power supply. The power supply for the 50200 had a pot adjustment for the voltage. The pot was recessed and accessible through a small hole at the front of the supply. The new power supply should have something similar, not a switch, but a potentiometer where you need a small screwdriver to adjusr the voltage. Turning the pot all the way to the right gives the maximum voltage of about 21.5 volts which would put 20.5 to 21 volts DCC on the track. Is there an on-line pdf of the German manual. I can take a look at that if you have a link. KnutNice feature, my Zimo does this too, of course the Zimo lets you set the voltage. Greg - 99 - woohoo. So no help there. Also by voltmeter I meant the external device, not what is in the controller, which seems to just show how many milliamps it is putting into the track. I don't have the device on me now but will try to post some pictures soon. I am fairly certain the powersupply has no switches or other controls on it. Was hoping someone on here had the latest version Thank you, AdamNote that passwords are case-sensitive. The configuration and monitoring Each ECoSBoost is comfortably directly by the ECoS: For each amplifier, you can individually set the maximum permissible output current. Once the appropriate DCC standard is adopted, to report back with its help, appropriately equipped locos information to the ECoS. This is very helpful for determining the position of locomotives or to read out the locomotive data. The data read from ECoSBoost be transmitted over the high speed bus ECoSlink for further processing to ECoS. Operated on a Marklin Central Station, the ECoSBoost mastered a similar function: therefore all supplied from ECoSBoost mfx locomotives behave exactly as the operation directly to the central station and be able to log selbstverstandlich or transfer configuration Sande stanchions. Protection Each ECoSBoost met selbstverstandlich the safety requirements and conditions for the model railway operation: The rail output is also protected against overload and against short circuits. You need this to worry about anything. In this way your ECoSBoost is always on the current state of technology. And we also offer entire Walthers catalog online.
