The problem could have been my coil. Additionally, the black fuel line with it does not last long in the new gas. Though they have an extra long stem and that is a nice feature. 5. Normally, the screws come preset with an open turn of one rotation on each of them. One then adjusts each screw to the engine. If one has a basic knowledge of how the carburetor works, then this is an okay kit. For someone who doesn't and just tries to swap out the carburetor-it can turn ugly real quick. The price was good for just the carburetor. Again, the carburetor worked and started on the 2nd pull. Would recommend this carburetor for an Echo 2400 if one has a basic knowledge of how it works and is installed.Probably clogged up from old fuel. A minute to swap plugs. Pumped the bulb until I saw the fresh fuel, pulled the starter cord a couple times and it fired right up. Idle, low speed and hi speed screws were right on as well. Cant ask for more. Recently the trimmer began stalling at idle and it didnt seem like adjusting the low speed screw on the carb helped. So I went to the Echo SRM-2100 manual and did the basic setup (low speed out 1.5 turns, hi speed out 2.5 turns) with the intent of resetting both. It runs great again, as far as I can tell, but buyers of this carb kit should be aware of this possibility.I can’t express how easy this was to install. I could not be happier. I would buy from this seller again in a heartbeat. Don’t waste your time attempting to clean your carburetor, just purchase a new one.When I took the Echo and these parts to a friend, who is a mechanic and repairs things, he stated that these parts were not even close to the right thing (carburetor wrong size, filters too.). Luckily he had a few spare Echo OEM parts in his shop. So double check the product listing and examine the product image to ensure that the parts look the same as what you are replacing. My mechanic friend did say that these parts looked pretty reliable but still, they will not work in one of the advertised Echo models.Ten year old trimmer fired right up. Factory carb settings work fine. I’ll probably fine tune a little when I have time to tinker later. Some reviews complain the grommet for the fuel line is too big. It’s exactly the size it should be. Yes, it’s very tight, you need to use a screwdriver or something to force it in, but if it were smaller you’d have fuel leaking out. Overall extremely happy, thanks!I removed the old carb and compared all seems to be the same, After exchanging carbs I also switched out the fuel lines and new filter. The Air filter was not even close to being the right size. I primed the bulb and it started on first pull. I only had to turn the high idle screw a small amount to get full speed. For the most part, I am very happy so far. I will put it to the test this afternoon on some large hedges. I cleaned the old air filter with some gas and it will work for now. The Spark Plug seemed cheap I switched it out, anyways it fit and had sparkSo simple and easy to install with one caveat. I strongly suggest to carefully remove the seal that holds the rubber hoses that seal gas tank and switch to re-use the old rubber grommet as the new ones are a real pain to install unless you remove the gas tank from the unit.Unfortunately this carb was defective and would not idle. I have used a lot of these and occasionally get one that doesn't work right, but Amazon is quick to replace it and even pays return shipping. For the price, it's worth the risk. The replacement worked perfectly when received. I knocked one star off for the inconvenience of having to replace it.
