Application and function The Elektroblock EBL 0- is the central power supply unit for all V consumers connected to the electrical system of the motorhome or caravan. It is normally fitted inside a cabinet or a stowage space and can be accessed from the front to change a fuse.These devices control the electrical functions in the motorhome s living area as well as the accessories. Connection options are available for up to two additional battery charging units and a solar charger.This device is exclusively designed for installation into a vehicle.The batteries can still be charged using the Electroblock, the alternator, an auxiliary charging unit or the solar charger, even when the battery isolation is activated.It switches off earlier with small discharge currents than with large ones. This enhances the total discharge protection. Monitoring also occurs when the device is switched off. Depending on the current consumption, a warning message is displayed once the value falls below V. If the living area battery voltage continues to drop and falls below 0. V, the battery monitor immediately switches off each V consumer. The control and switch panel also switch off automatically. Only the anti--freeze valve is still supplied with current to ensure that it remains closed. Prior to shutdown, all the switching states and the battery capacity value are stored and restored after switching on. To avoid making compromises or convincing the specialised dealer to take an appliance back, a high-quality sine inverter is always the better choice. These units supply a sinusoidal 230 V supply voltage, as if it comes out of the socket, and thus they are suitable for all 230 V appliances. With the VOTRONIC Sine Inverters of type -NVS with automatic mains priority control, continual changing from the mains socket at the inverter (driving mode) to the internal 230 V vehicle socket (standstill with mains supply) is avoided. The mains priority control recognizes if 230 V country current is available and disconnects the inverter, so that the 230 V appliances at the internal vehicle sockets will be supplied with country current, and the battery is not discharged unnecessarily. As soon as the vehicle is separated from the country current, the inverter automatically (adjustable) resumes the supply of the 230 V appliances. The VOTRONIC solar controllers are the link between solar module and battery, they work automatically, and they ensure optimum battery charging without overloading. If current is consumed during the day, immediate recharge is ensured, and a back discharge of the battery at night is avoided. If the power, which is produced during the day, is consumed primarily in the evening, the SR controller is rather recommendable, since the capacity storage in the battery (Ah) needs more time anyway than the increase of the battery voltage.
