earthbound zero instruction manualLong story short, Ninten’s mom’s name is Carol. I’ll get into details further below. (And I’ll have to spread this whole translation and my thoughts across a few posts due to the character limit.) This also means that people who own this thing are daunted by the thought of scanning it, and so you’ll be extremely hard-pressed to find proper, full-size images of the entire manual online. Such a scan probably doesn’t exist. So I had to rely on what ShadowOne333 was graciously able to root out in his personal journey to get this thing translated. This included a few random piecemeal scans of varying size, some legible, some illegible, but the prize discovery was without a doubt, a transcription from this wonderful site. So here’s my plea: Is there anyone out there who owns this manual and would be willing to take it upon themselves to make complete, full-sized scans of it. If you don’t want to piece together the map (and I don’t blame you), you can just send me the raw scans and I’ll do that myself. In fact, if any of you are willing to let me borrow your copy, I can take care of the whole process using my own scanner. I promise I’ll be extra-careful with it. Ignore that thing, it’s horribly awkwardly worded. Apparently in 2010 I spoke fluent Martian English. Oh, and I draw a fancomic called MOTHER and translate stuff, stuffage, and stuffing. And let’s not forget my site for the MOTHER Encyclopedia and my deviantART account! A black cloud-like shadow fell upon a town in rural America and a married couple went missing. The husband’s name was George; the wife’s name was Maria. Perhaps their prayers were heard, for about two years later, George unexpectedly returned to his home. However, he made no attempt to speak to anyone about where he had gone or what he had been doing. They saw George immerse himself in a mysterious research, and all sorts of rumors began to fly.http://china-truck.com/userfiles/file/creative-a550-manual.xml

A lampstand is clattering around Minnie’s room, and a milk-drinking doll is spinning around through the air in Mimmie’s room. I mean, is there anything more terrible than this? And I’m hardly one to talk, as I’m just a twelve-year-old kid myself, but I’m the only man in this house. I’ve got three ladies I have to protect. Which reminds me, where’d Mom run off to? My mom was flustered, but even she’s calmed down now. I know! Let’s call Dad. I believe your great-grandfather once researched psychic powers (PSI). Taking a look through the storage room might clear something up here.” But I knew right away. Huh?! Useful for what, you ask? At first, they’ll all have the status of “NEW GAME”, but lemme explain how to read the data when you do have a saved game. In other modes it confirms your command. In Map Mode it switches you over to the Status screen. When entering a name, use the pad to move the cursor and confirm with the A button. Press the A button here to enter Command Mode. Status conditions are also displayed here You can keep an eye on that with the B button. Turn the page with the A button. I hate violence, but this is to protect my mom and sisters, so I guess I gotta. Auto Mode is what you use when inputting commands one-by-one during battle becomes a pain in the neck. You can cancel it with the B button. Even though I could only understand what others were thinking at first, I’ve learned that powers such as attacks and recovery will follow along before I know it. Sounds like the girl I’ll meet on the way can use it too. Oh, and I draw a fancomic called MOTHER and translate stuff, stuffage, and stuffing. And let’s not forget my site for the MOTHER Encyclopedia and my deviantART account! You can count on us all! And yet, something tells me this is no coincidence. You don’t suppose it has something to do with the mysterious power I hold?! But where on earth could she be.http://juditphotography.com/picture/userfiles/creative-audigy-2-platinum-ex-manual.xmlHe’s kinda wimpy and is the sort of kid who’s always hiding behind me, but he’s also super smart. He’s even a pro with ray guns and other things I can’t handle. Still, I have to wonder if you’ll see him as anything but scary when you first meet him. You know, just call it a hunch. But you know, it’s also true there’ll be times where just getting something won’t give you much of a clue what it’s used for. I’ll explain the biggest examples of these, but be aware these aren’t all the items. (Code legend at bottom right.) But it’s not my weapon. This weapon is buzzing with electricity.I wonder if it fires BBs with compressed air.Though all I can say about it is, it’s not worn out. This! It’s “good” all right. This thing’s pretty effective, even in the hands of a girl.I hear it’s pretty painful.Usually, you mustn’t even think about shooting this at people.I hear it’s actually a hunting tool.Friend A —- B —- Strong Flames A tremendous explosion will take place, causing quite a bit of damage. Friend A —- B —- Incredible Explosive These latest incidents are like something out of a sci-fi movie. Friend A —- B —- Ray Gun. Friend A —- B —- Strong Ray Gun There are things that conceal a mysterious power. This coin is one of them.I wonder why that is.What crazy country d’ya think has these sorts a’ things. It conceals a power that will provide us with protection. It’ll provide more protection than the Fairy Bracelet. It holds quite a bit of defense ability. This is effective against flame attacks. Everyone —- B —- Anti Flame Attack It’s pretty handy! Everyone —- B —- Anti Chill Attack These things are a real wonder, aren’t they. Everyone —- B —- Anti Lightning Attack Make sure I have this with me. Me —- B —- Cures Asthma It’s times like that when we’ll need this medicine. Everyone —- MB —- Gets Rid of Poison We’ll be OK if we have this, though. Everyone —- MB —- Cures a Cold Just pray you don’t lose this.http://www.bosport.be/newsletter/bose-wave-radio-awrc-1p-manual Everyone —- M —- Use at a Cash Dispenser Everyone —- M —- Map Better believe the orange kind’s the best. They’re greasy, but I guess I can’t say they don’t recover energy. And this is a magic herb. There are also other awful kinds besides these, so things’ll get a little discouraging! How is it that a freaking tree is suddenly springing to life and coming after us? You don’t think it’s an actual demon, do you? It’s very small, so I don’t think there’s an alien or anything riding inside. You’ll find these things all over the place. I’ve never seen a creature like this in any animal reference guide; what on earth could it be? I guess the phrase “weapon on wheels” really fits here, doesn’t it? Could be my feeling that wondrous creatures live in wondrous lands. This pain in the neck shows up with strong-looking robots and injects its comrades with energy. But, we have Psycho Block, so we can relax, right? Just what the heck’s happened to our world? What makes it fearsome is it’ll sow seeds to add to its team.Is it just me, or does this thing give off feminine vibes? They’re probably aliens, as unbelievable as that is. What’s more, he’s being manipulated by someone into being a real brute! Even if he is making a stern face, he’s actually kind. That’s why it’s super sad to think I’ll be fighting him. Why do they scare me? He had neither blood nor tears to shed to begin with! How d’ya think it got so warped. Was it what I’d expect, that some dangerous experiment went horribly wrong or something? Normally, he’s kind, so could he too be under somebody’s control? Yet here’s the genuine article, right before my eyes! It’s only human to want to stay away if you think something might be poisonous! Bombs don’t fly at me; instead, they walk on their own toward me. It’s a pretty scary feeling! But for cryin’ out loud, a rope. It’s not like this thing attacks. Sightseeing flights feel great! In times like those, taking the train is the best thing ever!https://fiaxell.com/images/canon-selphy-cp510-manuale.pdf Besides, I wouldn’t be surprised if doing so got you to where you can easily grasp this incredibly huge game world. I wonder, it might be best if you make sure to make your own memos in times like those. They’ve got lots of different kinds of animals here. Come to think of it, I’ve been here a lot for fun myself, haven’t I? However, the latest incident is causing the animals to turn violent, so this place has been shut down. But the old man’s been saying the canaries haven’t been feeling well lately. The old manager who lives here can speak with canaries. It’s also quite the draw that this park has no entrance fee, isn’t it? I guess Dad’s out somewhere far away. Whenever I return home, Mom fixes me my favorite food, and my sister will also look after my valuable items for me. This town is small, but it also has a big department store, inside which you’ll find things like a bakery and a drugstore, all ready for your business. And apart from that, there’s also places like the hospital, the hotel and the hamburger shop. However, I’m not too crazy about our town’s mayor. Something about him feels rotten, you know? I won’t mince words: I HATE it here. My little next-door neighbor Pippi has gone missing near this cemetery. There are lots of different students at this school, and among them is an odd kid, I hear. Also, a policeman is always patrolling the town for possible bad boys playing hooky from school. I’m told the town doctor, a man named Big Ben Casey, doesn’t have the greatest reputation. On the outskirts you’ll find a big factory and Santa Claus Station. However, apparently the path to the station has been blocked off by a recent landslide. I understand this town, which is at the feet of the mountains, hasn’t been caught up in any big incidents yet. After all, such scary things are happening in the other towns. Apparently the townsfolk have all fled into the mountains, and there’s no one in town. Just what in the world could’ve happened. Could something that frightening really be happening. This is also where you’ll find one of the railway terminals. I’ve never traveled this far by myself, but it’s looking like I’m going to have to, isn’t it. I hear a nasty flu’s been going around these parts lately. I guess it really is cold in snow country after all. Oh yeah, and they were saying on the radio that the animals, which until now had been benign toward people, have suddenly grown violent. I understand the train’s north terminal is here. It’s not like I’ve actually been here so I dunno the details, but I’m told it’s a beautiful town. Look at me, now I’ve made myself wanna hurry and come here. Still, I can’t even imagine what kind of dangers I’ll face before I get here. Was it Mom who once told me this. Incidents happen so frequently in this town that this latest mysterious incident doesn’t feel like that severe of a problem to the residents here. It seems like doing something about the town hoodlums would be much tougher. However, this town has a harbor and a viewing platform, the latter of which I’m told the view from is a sight to behold. Apparently, ever since these mysterious incidents started up, something’s been happening on this mountain, as well. However, this is a sacred peak that people rarely climb even on an ordinary day, so I seriously doubt anything bad is going on here. That’s my two cents. It even shows up clearly enough in the biggest current scan of the map. (And this coming not long after my little discovery concerning the meaning behind the JACK signs! ) Oddly, I wasn’t terribly surprised when I found this, apart from the general excitement of discovering a new solid fact. The name just seems to fit the archetype of a mother who’s only just old enough to have a preteen kid (not that that’s canon IIRC, but I don’t see her as being any older than maybe 35 at most). To be honest, if there ever came a time when, for my fancomic or fanfiction or whatever, I had to give her a name, Carol would have probably been among the first few names I would have picked. She looks like a Carol. Heck, I even draw her like a Carol. I can see it in the biggest scan we have, but even there it’s still too fuzzy for me to read it.Maybe it was obvious to everyone else, I don’t know. Oh, and I draw a fancomic called MOTHER and translate stuff, stuffage, and stuffing. And let’s not forget my site for the MOTHER Encyclopedia and my deviantART account! You’ve done a fantastic job! It’s incredible how much one can learn from a game, even 25 or years later. Great job, kenisu! It’s awesome! You’re awesome! I love this, Carol is an adorable mom’s name. Have a badge guide. Nice find, Kenisu! Oh, and I draw a fancomic called MOTHER and translate stuff, stuffage, and stuffing. And let’s not forget my site for the MOTHER Encyclopedia and my deviantART account! I will now try to redo the whole manual from scratch using your translation as a base. That always bothered me. But there’s this feeling in me like I already knew Carol was her name. Maybe I read that somewhere long, long ago. I decided to go for Booklet since most of the NES manuals had that word in them. That’s why I decided to change it to NES (Nintendo Entertainment System) for the USA audience. It’s really illegible and I cannot seem to be able to compare it to something reliable. I know the first 5-6 characters are kanjis, and the rest seems to be hiragana. I tried the best I could but I couldn’t come up with a translation for it. If someone can help me out with this, that’d be great, it’s the only remaining part left to start with Pages 2-3, which are the Nintendo seal of quality text and table of contents. At the end of the translation I might convert them to PDF format in two ways: One where we have te full front part of the foldout page and on the other side the full map, and another PDF for the usual booklet format. Maybe I read that somewhere long, long ago. And then I found an even older source, Giovanni mentioning it in this thread from 2007.Still, hopefully now it’ll become common knowledge among MOTHER fans. It’s far from complete, but there you go. Oh, and I draw a fancomic called MOTHER and translate stuff, stuffage, and stuffing. And let’s not forget my site for the MOTHER Encyclopedia and my deviantART account! Just know that I have every intention of scanlating the actual thing. Even if nobody comes forward to provide the scans or manual or whatever, I could get my hands on it myself, once I manage to get myself back into the magical world of I Have Money. Oh, and I draw a fancomic called MOTHER and translate stuff, stuffage, and stuffing. And let’s not forget my site for the MOTHER Encyclopedia and my deviantART account! Mother 3 has a Handbook, and as far as I know, this is the only English strategy guide for Mother 3 in book form, in existence. And her name is Carol. Very cool! Great work! Remember to smile!I don’t think you’d lose anything by copy-pasting the text directly from the posts, aside from some dash-formatting, but in any case I’ve uploaded it to MediaFire here. Oh, and I draw a fancomic called MOTHER and translate stuff, stuffage, and stuffing. And let’s not forget my site for the MOTHER Encyclopedia and my deviantART account! I don’t think you’d lose anything by copy-pasting the text directly from the posts, aside from some dash-formatting, but in any case I’ve uploaded it to MediaFire here. I was toying with the idea of translating the MOTHER 2 manual as well. I put that sentence in as a placeholder since I had just thought of the use of “takes place” as a handy way to translate ?? and make it sound like smooth-flowing English, and I didn’t want to forget it. I’m not so sure now I’ll be able to tackle the whole thing, what with a couple of BIG prospective projects, both very time-sensitive, having reared their head. When it rains, it pours, apparently. Oh, and I draw a fancomic called MOTHER and translate stuff, stuffage, and stuffing. And let’s not forget my site for the MOTHER Encyclopedia and my deviantART account! At least this one isn’t a disgusting experiment on a little girl. I have a soundcloud. Why on earth do I hate the Mother manual. Well, for starters, it's not a manual, per se. Rather, it's a huge piece of paper--a poster, really--that's been folded into a two-inch-by-three-inch rectangle. (What can I say? I much prefer manuals that can be flipped through, one page at a time, to ones that require folding and unfolding.) Another reason I'm not a huge fan of the Mother manual: There's a lot more text, and a lot fewer illustrations and screenshots, than I expected to see in such a production. That's not to say it lacks any interesting art whatsoever. On the contrary, a number of interesting illustrations and photos (of what appear to be clay models) can be found within the folds of Mother 's instruction manual. (They're fully responsible for the love I feel for this booklet, by the way.) For instance, there are these models of the game's main party members (Ninten, Ana, Lloyd and Teddy): I also like the models seen on this otherwise-text-filled page: Click on any or all of the scans above or below to take a closer look at them, by the way. Photos of even more clay models can be found on the following page, which details Mother 's many enemy characters. Interestingly, the game's items and weapons are illustrated rather than crafted out of clay. That's OK with me, though--especially when said illustrations are as well drawn as the ones in the scan below: The piece de resistance of the Mother instruction manual, though, has to be the world map that takes up the entirety of the manual's back side. (All of the above-mentioned illustrations, photos and text are included on its front side.) I'm sorry the map above isn't perfect, by the way. It's large enough that I had to make nine different scans of it and then piece the best parts of each scan together like a puzzle. See also: Previous 'Manual Stimulation' posts I'd love to get my hands on those clay models!Glad to see some of them made the jump to the sequel unchanged. These are truly gems!As soon as I opened it up I knew I had to post some scans of the manual here. As for the clay models: I wish I could get my hands on some of them, too. I especially like some of the enemy models.By the way, this post is reminding me that I have to get back to playing this game. I really enjoyed the chunk I played last year, but something popped up and took my attention away from it.Heck, if it weren't so damn expensive, I'd buy one now.I've seen the box on its own sell for 100 dollars. Even cart only it's an expensive game. Wish I had a copy:(Some of the weapons seem a bit risque. Kid's using knifes and pistols and stuff (Though they might be more for Teddy the adult)would seem to make people point fingers along with the star of David. Also I can't see how RPG fans could find the mother series a passover when you have all those unique enemies shown in the manual. I know I've seen some people dislike the series, but most of the people I've seen or heard that do I doubt have really sat down and played these games. It's too bad something so wonderful has to cost so much! Sigh. That's one of the things that makes this series so great in my opinion, though. I also agree with your comment people passing over this series. I'm actually guessing a lot of them do so because of the graphics. I distinctly remember finding EarthBound's graphics a bit. Also, the series is so hyped at this point that I can see some folks turning their noses up at it for that reason, too. Regardless, it's too bad, as these games are well worth experiencing thanks to their uniqueness and their wonderful storytelling, among other things.Like I told Justin, above, looking at this manual made me want to get back to playing through the game. Maybe this weekend. You've still not finished it?And it's great. I own it along with its prequel via the. What was it. You know they released both on one cartridge for the Game Boy Advance in Japan? That thing. Also, when I was in Japan, they had all these new MOTHER figures in UFO machines. Yeah. Also, your enthusiasm for manuals is great.I'll get back to it, don't worry:)Also, I'd kill (well, almost) to own some of those Mother figures you just mentioned. Why can't I live in Japan, or at least travel there frequently. Finally, I'm glad you appreciate my enthusiasm for manuals. It's an easy enthusiasm to have these days, given the current state of the gaming biz (which seems to have a vendetta against such booklets).I think in Japan Castlevania II and Megaman 1 did this as well. I need to play through Mother 1 one of these days. I'm a huge Earthbound fan. I'm lucky enough to still have my original copy of the game with strategy guide from 16 years ago. (The scratch and sniff is still intact too! lol)This is the first poster-like manual I've come across for the Famicom, but I'm sure you're right that there were others. It's not my favorite style of manual, to tell you the truth, but it's hard to complain about them too much when they're as nice as the one produced for this game. As for you playing this game: Yes. Especially if you're an Earthbound fan. It's a bit of a step back, obviously, but I still think it's well worth experiencing. Also, I'm completely jealous that you still have your copy of Earthbound and its strategy guide.Old Japanese games and systems are my favorites--the Famicom, PC Engine, original PlayStation and GameBoy, especially--but I like plenty of newer ones, too. If you have similar interests and you don't mind perusing a blog that's got the word gay in its name and is practically slathered in pink, you'll probably enjoy your time here. I'm also on Facebook, Flickr, Instagram, Tumblr and Twitter, by the way. After all, winter and its related holidays are just a. Put me down for a dozen (or more) copies! I hope not, as this is my fourth such post on the subject. Since the image doesn't appear until that processing is done, it can appear as though the game is running slowly. Please check your television's support documentation for more details. When I completed it and the little fork I made out of DragonDePlatino's Mother 25th Anniversary Edition, I decided I wanted to order some reproduction carts out of both hacks, one for the NES hack Mother 25th Faithful Edition and one my SNES hack MaternalBound. The carts are now on their way to my home. But. Since those are only the carts, I still have the box and manuals to go for. I already have the boxes made out from both NES and SNES templates: MOTHER: MOTHER 2: Only thing left is the Manuals, and since I want these games to be the proper MOTHER releases (not EarthBound) that the NA deserves, I want to create fully English translated manuals for the MOTHER counterparts of both MOTHER 1 and MOTHER 2! Which is why I want to ask you guys for your help. I managed to get myself a scan of the MOTHER 2 manual, and I also found the MOTHER 1 manual Japanese text from an obscure website. Is anyone willing to help out with the translation. Here you have the Japanese text for the MOTHER game released for the Famicom: And here you have my backed up copy of the MOTHER 2 manual: If someone (any EarthBound fan?) can help me out with the translations, I will really appreciate it. Anyone that contributes to this project will be added as additional credits in the manuals. Thanks in advance! I can't imagine you're the first person to think of it. You may be aware that the English release of Mother way back in the day was in theory held up due to the complexity of translating the lengthy Diary that was apparently included with the game. Go ahead dauntlessly. Make rapid progres! I can't imagine you're the first person to think of it. You may be aware that the English release of Mother way back in the day was in theory held up due to the complexity of translating the lengthy Diary that was apparently included with the game. Actually, I posted this in the Starmen Forums first. Still haven't found a person that is willing to help out with the japanese translation. I can't imagine you're the first person to think of it. The diary would've been an original creation of the English release. Mother's manual was a folded poster with the game instructions (including item, character, enemy and PSI information) on one side and a map on the other. And by having access to our ebooks online or by storing it on your computer, you have convenient answers with Earthbound Strategy Guide. To get started finding Earthbound Strategy Guide, you are right to find our website which has a comprehensive collection of manuals listed. Our library is the biggest of these that have literally hundreds of thousands of different products represented. I get my most wanted eBook Many thanks If there is a survey it only takes 5 minutes, try any survey which works for you. Digital fan translations to English are available but not really legal. Having never played Earthbound ( Mother 2 in Japan) I did the traditional completionist thing and started with the original game, which is extremely dated by almost all RPG standards. Mother suffers from everything I dread about going into retro role-playing games: a ton of grinding (or “meat walls”), constant random encounters, no true direction as to where to go next, casual dungeons with incredibly hard boss battles, slow pacing, and a limited inventory system. Not only that, anytime you try to look up help on this game, everyone who’s written about it has played the game a million times and speaks so condescending of people who get stuck that you feel like an idiot. That’s because Mother has a small but incredibly devoted community that feels this game and its sequels are the apex of game design. Despite all these faults, the charm of the writing and what it was doing at the time was enough to keep me invested until the grueling end. Subsequently an adventure unfolds where Ninten traverses several towns and dungeons completing several tasks from finding a girl in a graveyard to saving the world as we know it. Along the way he finds a few friends that join his party and by the end of the game it somewhat emulates the battle structure of Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest. Towns are named after holidays (or at least they are in the english version), what we know of as magic is “psi” powers, and careful attention to what is said must be taken to keep track of where to go and what to do next. Much like other JRPGs of the time period, the map is vast and there’s not much to keep you from exploring so you can get lost easily and die even easier. Since you can only save in towns, this can be problematic and typically the best solution is to grind like crazy and level yourself up. This makes continuing in the game’s relatively meager main plot drag as you consistently stop to grind for an hour or two after getting pummeled in a dungeon or new area. It’s not all bad, though, because just like Dragon Warrior you are simply returned to the place where you last saved and your money is halved, but all progress and items collected remain on your person. As I said before, this game is chock full of charm because of its non-fantasy setting, which makes for hilarious conversions of role-playing conventions. Instead of armor, you wear hats and coats. Instead of swords and shields, you pick up slingshots, baseball bats, and even boards with nails in them. Instead of traditional enemies you will confront hippies, smoking crows, and even weird alien life forms. You gain money for battle, like with most games of the genre, but instead of instantly receiving it you have to get it from your father at the ATM, who is a disembodied voice you only interact with on the phone. All of this ties together to be the ultimate mockery on modern culture: absent working father, mother who lets you risk life and limb to save the world, towns that just shrug off hostile zoo takeovers and zombie-infested graveyards with kidnapped kids. I did not play this with a guide, although I wish I had because much like a Sierra adventure game from the nineties, you can get stuck and upon looking up the solution discover that you’ve got a world of backtracking to do for one single item or quest. This is when the bare inventory system becomes a slog on your progress. Since Ninten can only hold six items from the start, holding a quest item along with a couple of healing items makes discovering anything new quite the chore. It’s not surprising considering this game was developed by a famous Japanese writer, Shigesato Itoi, because the overall plot and dialogue seems well planned out and is entertaining while the gameplay aspects of this title make it hard to recommend. If you can, play this on a portable of some kind in smaller 30-60 min doses over the course of a month or so (it took me just over 35 hours to complete the campaign).
