When the package arrived at my office, I loaded into my wife's car and sent her home with it asking her to have the boys (15 and 14) to take it out of the car. By the time I got home, the 14yo (the non-mechanically inclined) tennis player had it set up and had already started stringing a racquet. I am not allowed to touch the machine because I am Dad (and therefore a knownothing). My son has since gone to town stringing racquets for himself (a lot) and for some of the local players. The tensioner seems to be fairly accurate and the clamps appear to adjust and stay in adjustment consistently. There have been no problems so far, so I cannot imagine many popping up at this point. This machine is a floor model and fairly weighty and stable. It came with a small kit of tools which would be adequate. I added the tension gauge, pathfinder, and starting clamp to the order to save the shipping. Shipping time was good from California to Florida. Excellent value. It took a solid hour to assemble, self explanatory, really. Manual was great, explained how to string a racquet. The clamps touching the string are good, but the base required a lot of effort to shut, I wish I could upgrade to spring assisted clamps. Mounting system is great, but every once and a while it'll block a hole. This is my first machine, and I would probably go with a spring clamp system next time. I have strung 6 racquets and feel quite comfortable using the machine and knowing what I'm doing. The last racquet, a Prince OS, took less than 45 minutes. I think this is a very good machine for the money compared to the other similar featured spring tension machines. I will submit another review in a year and report on how the machine has held up. I'm able to do the E-Force racquets no problem. It holds the tension well with no slippage. Sometimes the racquet gets a little loose while doing the crosses, but I just retighten it.I have had it for over two years, been a great machine. I have used more expensive machines but this one has been better. The clamps are easy to use and adjust. I especially like the fixed rotating clamps as opposed to the sliding clamps on other machines. I would buy again. It has paid for itself many times over. It was easy to setup and install, no problem. It was also easy to string on as well. However after about 2 years, stringing about 5-10 rackets a month, the machine broke. I tried to call the customer service because the website said it had a 5 year warranty but they are not very responsive. It is a company based out of China with a US representative in the States. The email communications were difficult as English is not their first language. I was finally told that I could buy a new tension head to replace the old one and that it would cost about 300.00, so I'm not sure what the 5 year warranty covers, apparently not the tension head. Anyway I decided to go ahead with the purchase of the tension head because it was less expensive than a new machine. I was sent to the US rep by the China based office but was told by the US based office that they wouldn't sell it to me and I'd have to buy a new machine. So I have decided to go with another company this time around. All in all I'm not upset, I probably strung close to 200 rackets with it so I got my money back easily. If you're looking for a cheap machine that will string 2-4 rackets a month this is it. It's probably going to break on you but you'll get enough rackets out of it to cover the cost of the machine and then some. If I had to do it over again I would spend 200-300 extra dollars on a better quality machine. If you disagree, please send in your own opinion.
