There are some things this book does not tell you. For example, while it explains how to remove the clutch unit, it does not tell you how to disassemble the clutch once it's out of the machine. Rather, he encourages you to just replace the entire unit.I'm glad I found this resource, and thankful the author took the time to compose it. The savings from one or two DIY repairs will probably cover the cost of the manual. More importantly, the information in the manual will keep your DC07 working for years to come.It went great, though in the reassembly instructions there are a couple of steps presented out of order. The book suggests that you do the following in this order: Install brush housing Install clutch cover Stretch belt over motor shaft These three steps can't be done in this order, as the brush housing makes installing the clutch cover very awkward, and the clutch cover encases the end of the motor. Do those three steps in the reverse order. Aside from that, I've found it to be a great resource. The author's conversational tone really makes for a quick, clear read.There are many comments in this book that otherwise would take years to learn from repair work if done on your own. This was most helpful in leading me down the correct path in my own repair work. The web site references in the book were also most helpful to roundout the information that is needed to conduct repairs on many models of Dysons. I would recommend this to anyone.That's the only legible photo in the entire book. Back in the day I used Clymer manuals to repair cars and rebuild engines. The work was always challenging, not just because I had usually never tried that particular task before but because the photos were so poorly lit you could barely see the part in question, let alone the context of the surrounding area. If you suck something up into the ball that just snap right in. Then you’ll put your set screw there. You would check first if you have a blockage or something got caught in the brush bar. Then you have just pulled the vacuum down lay it on its front and there’s a retaining clip. This clip holds this bar in place, so you just grab the clip and pull it on both sides. That allows this to pull free and it gives you access to this. Then if there’s something caught in this brush, you can turn these two screws on the top and you’ll hear them click. When it’s open and that allows you to move to the plate off and gain access inside the brush bar and then this also allows you to clean off any hair or dust. On the brush bar very easy to access and designed very well. Now it’s time to put it back together. All you have to do is lay it back down and turn the little knobs on top. Then you can either put this back into place and then put your retaining ring. It’s easy just to put this on first and you have a beveled edge and a flat edge and you want the beveled edge facing out and you just snap this retaining ring back in. Where you can see the beveled edge. Then you’re just going to snap this straight down in place. So those are the tips if you have a blockage in your Dyson vacuum.
