What you can do to work around this lack of feature would be to run your battery down to a safe lower level, connect to the charger and charge until the indicator light turns yellow. This indicates 50 charge, and should be safe to store your lipo batteries at.It didn't work properly. I would plug in my battery and start charging. The charger would give an error code for a faulty connection. I checked every connection and made sure I had my settings correct. I unplugged everything and plugged it back in, but got the same error. The batteries worked, so I ran them for a while. I then plugged them into the charger and everything worked for about an hour. Then I got the error code again. I got another charger and checked the volts for both batteries. They were fully charged. When the LED indicator made it to blinking green, (indicating battery capacity is between 76 to 99) instead of transistioning to solid green, (indicating the battery is fully charged) all four LEDs blinked red at the rate of 1 blink per second (indicating a connection break, incorrect connection, or incorrect battery mode selected). I thought it was strange that it went through the whole charging process just to reach the end and fault up. But as it was late, I unplugged the battery from the unit and the unit from the wall and went to bed. The next morning I restarted the process on the same battery and the unit went through its red to green indicator lights rather quickly and gave the solid green light with no issues. Checking the battery I could confirm that it had been charged. 3rd use: Same morning I plugged a second battery in and the unit appeared to be function as normal. This time however, about 30 minutes into the charge, it went into the same error code. I disconnected the unit from the battery and from the wall and tried reconnecting everything but each time I plugged the unit back into the wall (before even connecting the battery) it automatically went back to the error blinks. I left it for the afternoon and tried again that evening. 4th use: Same problems as before with the same error blinks after charging for a short amount of time. I still don't know for sure how long the unit has to remain unplugged for it to reset but either way you don't get much of a charge in before it gives an error and you're back to playing the waiting game for it to reset.I was able to replace 2 of my older chargers that you could probably call antiques now. I do really like the banana plug that let's me have various connectors for my different batteries. Will charge my NiCd and NiMh as well as my LiPo. It does tell you what of a charge you have by signaling with the led for that chemistry battery. The only thing it would do that I kind of wish it did is discharge a battery.Blinks red and green, press button to charge and will not begin charging.Now all I can do is scroll through the battery types, it won’t actually charge anything. The last RC I owned ran off AAs in the 1980s and I chased behind it because the remote was corded!I know it's not ldeal to keep spending money. However make a list of the features you want and need then find a good charger to meet you needs.
