Simply put, it takes forever, eats power, and doesn't do the job properly. I get angry every time I empty it but am stuck with it as it came the apartment I rent. Like Share More Similar opinion. Write a review on ProductReview.com.au ! blake AU Our reasoning for buying is that it is made by the same outfit that produces the Smeg dishwasher so it can't be too bad. It has performed without fault and is extremely simple to use. The control knobs have the simplest functions I have seen. We only use it on the shortest wash cycle which does not have a drying cycle. Just open the door when the cycle is finished and the heat in the dishes evaporates the water. Any ideas. Thanks. Palma The first time this happened i cleaned out all of the filters My dishwasher starts and washes ok but appears to get very hot during the drying phase and then the two lights fast and eco flash warning of a heater problem. I suspect either the heater, thermostat or control PCB. As the rest of the cycle seems of and the water gets hot then I'm assuming the heater and thermostat are OK. When the dishwasher attempts to dry is when the problem starts. Did anyone find out what there fault was? Thanks DD-603SS Built-in Dishwasher Check the drain hose from the sump all the way to the sink or disposal connection. \015\012 a. Remove the drain hose from EACH conn. There is an F14 fault. I have cleaned the arms removed the waste basket from the bottom of the dishwasher and removed the two parts one with the large metal ball to expose the plastic wheel clog. There does not appear to be a blockage. I also removed the top arm and cleaned that out. I don't know what other inlets to check as the guide does not tell me exactly what an F14 fault is but explains F11,12,13. Can you help? Please advise Any idea what this means. The symptoms are the motor running in short cycles and the F1 sign flashing. Regards. Maureen The top drawer will open but the bottom drawer is locked. I need to unlock this drawer to get my cooking equpiment out. Please Help. I know that the F1 fault is a flood fault but how do fix it. Initially the dishwasher leaked water on the floor. On investigation the bottom tray under the dishwasher was wet. The motor was wet. Tested the motor which was fine although the capacitor on the motor impellor was dead. Replaced capacitor, now no water going around the spray heads so found the impellor inside broken. Replaced that. No hoses are leaking. Machine now works fine heats up etc etc but over fills and the E5 fault shows I have a Kitchen Aid, under counter unit, 9 years old, model KUDS01I. I used it 2 nights ago with no problem. When I push a button, nothing happens, no lights show, etc. It is plugged into the lower half of a duplex socket with disposal plugged into the top. Disposal works, so the problem seems to be with the dishwasher. That also eliminates any issues related to breakers or ground fault indicators, etc. Is there a reset button on the dishwasher? Is there Have tried reset and works like instructions states. But when I have re-tried dishwasher same fault happends again. Any help Both dishwasher comes on the same time and make noise and the F1 with a little rench shows up. They said when the red light comes on the salt reservoir is empty. What kind of salt do I put in.Please advise Built-in Dishwasher I put a small screwdriver in here and levered it forwards. It didn't want to stay so I.Dishwasher runs for about 5 minutes. Water fills up at bottom of unit and then machine seems to pause then fault code E1 appears then water is pumped out from bottom of machine. There are no leaking pipes and drain is installed correctly. I installed a new wash pump and fault still appears. It sees a fault - so just clears out.\015\012Heating elemen.I checked and when the dishwasher is plugged in, there is 24VAC between the dishwasher door and the stainless steel sink. I suspect a fault! Any ideas please? It shows fault E3. It states in the manual that this fault means longer heating time but not reaching required temp and its a malfunction of temp.Is there anything I could do to fix it or will it have to be sent back. Av oid contact with skin and eyes, and k eep children and infirm persons away from the dish washer when the door is open. Use only detergents or rinse aid recommended for use in a domestic dishw asher and k eep them out of reach of children. Check that the detergent dispenser is empty after the completion of each wash progr amme. When loading items to be washed, place sharp items where they are not lik ely to damage the dishw asher and load sharp knives with the handles up to reduce the risk of cut type injuries. Do not tamper with the controls of your dishw asher. Do not abuse, sit on, or stand on the door or dish rack of your dish washer. D o not place any heavy objects on the door when it is open. The dishwasher could tip forward. T o reduce the risk of injur y, do not allo w children to play in or on the dishw asher. Under certain conditions hydrogen gas may be produced in a hot w ater heater system that has not been used for two weeks or more. This will release any accum ulated hydrogen gas. As hydrogen gas is flammable, do not smoke or use an open flame during this time. Remove the door to the w ashing compartment when removing an old dishw asher from service or discarding it. Open the door very carefully if the dishwasher is in oper ation. There is a risk of being spray ed with hot water. D o not open the door fully until the spray arm has stopped rotating. The door should not be left in the open position as this could present a tripping hazard. When disconnecting the dishwasher pull b y the plug rather than the c ord or junction of cord to avoid damage. This dishw asher is not intended for use by young children or infirm persons unless they have been adequately supervised by a responsible person to ensure that they can use the dishwasher safely. Y oung children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the dishwasher. The water inside the dishw asher is not suitable for drinking. This dishw asher is designed for washing normal household utensils. Items that are contaminated by petrol, paint, steel or iron debris, or corr osive, acidic or alk aline chemicals are not to be washed in this dish washer. If the dishwasher is not being used for long periods of time, turn the electricity and water supply to the dishwasher off. If the power supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced b y the manufacturer or Authorised Ser vice Centre or a similarly qu alified person in order to avoid a hazard. Ensure the dishwasher is plac ed between cabinetry. F ailure to do so may result in an unstable product, which may cause damage or injury. Do not operate this dishw asher if it is damaged, malfunctioning, partially disassembled or has missing or broken parts, including a damaged power supply c ord or plug. Do not store or use petrol or other flammable vapours and liquids in the vicinity of the dishw asher. Connect to a properly rated, protected and size d pow er supply circuit to avoid electrical ov erload. Make sure that the pow er supply cord is positioned where it will not be stepped on, tripped ov er, or otherwise subjected to damage or stress. Do not install or store the dishwasher where it w ill be exposed to temper atures below freezing or exposed to the weather. Do not use an extension cord or por table electrical outlet device (eg multi-sock et outlet box) to connect the dishw asher to the power supply. Maintenance Do not repair or replace any part of the dishwasher or attempt any servicing unless specifically recommended in this user guide. Keep the floor around your dish washer clean and dry to reduce the possibility of slipping. Keep the area around and underneath your dish washer free from the ac cumulation of combustible materials, such as lint, paper, rags and chemicals. When cleaning the underside of the filter, tak e care on the sharp outer edge to avoid the risk of cut type injuries. If the dishw asher is not operating properly or maintenance must be performed, disc onnect the dishw asher from the power supply. It is the responsibility of the plumber and electrician to ensure that each installation complies with the Government and local gov ernment by-laws. Check packaging and dishwasher immediately for signs of transport damage. The dishwasher must not be connected to the electrical supply while installation is being carried out. Ensure all domestic wiring is properly earthed. Never lift from the door handle. Do not lift from the decorative panel on the front of the dish washer. Always be careful with the hoses and the power cor d at the back of the dishwasher. Careful handling will prevent damage and malfunction from squashing, kinking or cuts. The dishwasher should not be connected to a hot water sy stem where the temperatur e exceeds 60?C, or where there is no temperatur e control, eg wetback system unless the sy stem is fitted with a suitable tempering valve. The dishwasher must not be connected to an under sink high pr essure “ push through ” type hot water system, as damage to the syst em will result. Ensure the bare w ood surrounding the dishwasher is sealed with an oil-based paint or moistur e- proof polyurethane to pr event possible steam damage. While installing a dishwasher, check the drain hose is not restricted or kinked. Lev elling Before sliding the dish washer into position, adjust the feet t o ensure that the dishwasher is level at the requir ed height. Check that the door opens and closes freely without resistance t o adjacent cabinetry. The dishwasher should not be inclined more than 2?. If the dishwasher is level it will help to ensur e optimum performance. It is not recommended that the drain hose or drain pipe be connected directly to a waste disposal unit (see diagram 2). When connecting the drain hose to a sink trap with a drain hose spigot, it is important that the drain hose is supported to the height of the bench (see diagram 3). Ensure the drain spigot has a minimum hole size of 15 mm and that it has been drilled out.We recommend a c old water connection to give the best wash performance and energy efficiency. Impor tant! The appliance should be connected to the w ater main using a new hose set. Old hose sets should not be used. If the length of the w ater inlet hose is not long enough to mak e a proper connection, it must be replaced. W ater supply The dishwasher inlet hose must be connected to an acc essible water tap. The hose coupling must be tightened a further half turn after seal contact If the water pipes have not been used for an extended period of time, let the wat er run to make sure that the water is clear and free of impurities. If this precaution is not taken, there is a risk the water inlet will get blocked and damage the appliance. Anti-flood protection This dishwasher has an anti-flood pr otection which will stop the water flowing in the event of a damaged hose or a leak within the machine. P ositioning your dish washer Position the applianc e in the desired location. T he inlet water and drain hoses can be positioned to the right or left to assist proper installation. Built under or built in appliances should be installed under a continuous sur face, which is attached to adjacent cupboards, in order to ensure that the applianc e is stable.
