When desired par ameters in each tab window have be en adjusted, select the OK butt on to store the parameter inform ation into local PC mem ory and exit the param eter screen. Click ing the Defaul t Parms button sets certa in parameters b ack to factory default settings. Cl icking Cance l exits the param eter screen without modify ing any param et ers currently stored in l ocal PC mem ory. Modem operating parameters incl ude: Long ID The electronic I D Number i s a unique num ber assigned at the factory. This number m a y be changed in the case of a duplic ation. The ID Number is used by the p rogramm er for remote addr essing and diag nostics. The range of this field is 1 to 4294967 295 but m ultiples of 1024 sh ould not be use d. A m ultiple of 1024 results in a Sho rt ID of 0. I f the ID N umber is within th e range of 1 to 1023, the Short ID w ill be the same. NOTE: This I D is not the sam e as the printed se rial num ber. Use the printed serial number to verify if the unit is under war ranty. Short ID The Short I D is derived fro m the longer I D Num ber. It is used to identi fy units and m inimizes the time required to transm it Online Diagnostics. Th e Short ID of each unit in a ne twork must b e unique if On line or. Since the Shor t ID is derived from the I D Number, no ent ry is allowed in this field. The rang e of the Short I D is 1 to 1023. Comm ent The Comm ent field can be used as a notepad (i.e., custom er name, location, technical info.e tc can be entered in this f ield). Comm ents are text up to 39 characters including spac es. Date Last Config ured The Date Last Conf igured field shows the date the un it w as last programm ed. The date is taken from the operating prog ram. No entry is allowed in this fi eld. Total Configurat ions The Total Config urations field s hows the number o f tim es a unit has been prog ramm ed. No entry i s allowed in this field. Online Diagnos tics If enabled, diag nostics inform ation is sent at the beginning of each transm ission. The default v alue is “Enabled” (check ed) All units in a ne twork m ust use the same setting. Diagnostics from t he last 15 stations hea rd are stored in each unit.
