Found these two replacement couplings on Amazon at a reasonable price and a fast delivery with Amazon Prime. Installed one of the couplings (simple slip-on installation), and was up-and-running again, and now I have a spare coupling for next time, if I need it (my original coupling lasted a number of years).I took advantage of the multi-pack and stashed the spare in my Dremel tool case. Replacing the coupling is a piece of cake although it helps to have a third hand. Check Youtube for instructional videos on how the job is done (remove six screws, disassemble, install the new coupling, re-assemble, put the six screws back into place).I never knew there was a plastic piece in the drive shaft. Very happy with the product.I almost ordered a new one right then, but I made do with a different tool. Then out of curiosity I took the tool apart and found the disintegrated coupling. After some online research, I discovered that failure of these is pretty common. I had no idea they were even used inside the tool. These replacements are a perfect fit, and now my tool is back in service. If it's another 20 years before another failure, I'll probably forget all over again. Oh, well.The 395 universal Bosch coupling I received didn't have a stepped down drive shaft end to fit my Moto Tool. I was able to increase its diameter by wrapping masking tape around the splines to mate with the tool's drive shaft end. This fix worked and the tool is functional again. However, I hope that there is a correct coupling available to fit the 395 type 3 Drexel Tool.At the time I had no tool to take out the screws that hold the body together. I finally found an inexpensive torx driver (I think that's what it's called?) and disassembled the Dremel 395. The plastic drive coupling was broken (I think I accidentally hit the spindle lock while it was running). This part from Bosch was perfect and was very easy to install. The reason for three stars on ease of installation was because I had to go find a tool to take it apart. The Dremel works like new again and I still prefer it over the cordless for most projects.A Well done to the people who still make the parts for what I thought was an obsolete tool and to Amazon for putting the whole deal together.I recommend buying the two pack for the economy, should it ever fail again.
