This one is not the same as I had on a previous vehicle.I would use your company again or recommend you to others. Your selection was broad and your prices fair. The further to the left it is pushed the harder the brakes are applied until the maximum set by the output control is reached. The indicator will start dim and glow brighter as output increases. Starting with the output control in the lowest position (all the way right) roll forward slowly and stop. If no trailer braking is felt adjust the output control slightly to the left. Repeat this process until firm trailer brakes are felt. If the trailer brakes lock-up or jerk adjust the output back to the right slightly. Adjust the sync Slight adjustment of the output control may also be desirable. If such settings are necessary, a pulse preventor can be used. This is useful for gradual slowing on steep downhill grades or before stops. My hitch fit my vehicle perfectly and the light wiring was easy. The other controllers advertised might have worked as well as, or better than, this one. I knew from experience this one has an adjustment on the left side to control how quick the brakes are applied on the trailer and the others may have that too, but none of the ads I read said they had the ability. I've got mine set to where the controller doesn't fully apply the trailer brakes for about the first second and then the brakes will apply to the amount of my setting on another adjustment. I had another controller a few years ago that didn't have that feature and I didn't like the trailer brakes coming on as soon as I touched the brake petal.We installed it for our 25 foot travel trailer and it works very well. We only gave 4 stars because the instructions that came with it were very 'sketchy', and pretty much useless. We had to do our own research to find good instructions, and found them on You-TubeSo it made perfect sense to purchase from Amazon. The controller was easy to install and very easy to use.
