Frank G. 3.0 out of 5 stars I've been pretty happy with this product, although the sound quality is far from spectacular. Thankfully, my MP3s are encoded at 192kbps; they would certainly sound worse over the TransDock Micro at the default 128kbps. I find changing the broadcast frequency on the TransDock Micro while driving to be very distracting. For local driving, I'm able to keep it tuned to one station, and for long trips that might require a frequency change, I usually have a passenger with me who can handle the controls. The thing that bothers me the most about this is that the build quality feels cheap, but the price is still premium.dagasistemas.com/galeria/files/canon-photocopier-user-manuals.pdf I rarely take it in and out of the car, but when I do, I feel like I'm going to break the thing in half. Also, I don't know why they made the top of the unit bright white. At the same time, when I'm ready to buy a new car, I'm sure it will have iPod compatibility built-in, and I will be glad to not have to use the TransDock Micro any longer.Worked fine with the iPhone (aside from needing to go into airplane mode, which was expected) but locked the iPod up starting about 30 seconds after being plugged in and ending about 5 seconds after being unplugged. I contacted the company, they promptly replied, saying that it sounded like a bug and I should return or exchange it where I bought it. I did a return, then placed an order from Amazon. That one had the same problem with the iPod, AND was not recognized by the iPhone. It would allow charging, but no audio came through. From bad to worse:( Input through the aux jack works fine, so I can still connect any device to it and play tunes in my radio-only car, but that involves more cables (and a cumbersome adapter, for the iPhone) and is a less than ideal solution. My recommendation: Make sure you get it from a place that's easy to do returns, and test it right off the bat. When it works, it's great. When it doesn't, it's a pain.I like this product because it charges and plays my shuffle in the car. The sound is pretty good. I ended up going to a neighborhood hardware store and buying my own. My other complaint is that on this latest generation model the radio frequency begins at 88.1 and the first transdock began on 87.9. I could always use 87.9 with my first transdock. I use my iPod to listen to mostly alternative music, because there is really only one station in town that plays alternative music.Much improved over the factory radio and comes with an ipod adapter built in. Amazing sound quality for the price. Took about an hour to install myself. Save yourself the headache.get a new car stereo with an ipod adapter. One thing I didn't know was that turning up the ipod volume does not affect the volume output at all. I have an old, weak stereo in my car, so I have to crank the volume up way high. That is (so far) my only issue with this product. Otherwise, it is great. It charges the ipod, something I couldn't find for any other product under fifty dollars (this one cost me about 35).Alas, this one tends to work pretty well on 88.1 most of the time, though I do occasionally have to change it up. The button configuration for presents doesn't seem intuitive and is a little annoying. I've taken to just changing the frequency manually every time, but at least it's only on rare occasions. Although it does seem overpriced. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that if you live in a major metropolitan area, as I do, it can be difficult to find a station that doesn't get interference from a local radio station. However, you can set up to four preset stations on the device and switch between them to get a clear channel, as you drive from one area to another. Highly recommended. After recently purchasing a car, I wanted to be able to use my iPhone to play music over the car stereo and I was reluctant to change the OEM stereo in the car. I had read quite a bit about FM Transmitters and decided on the DLO after seeing a number of glowing reviews. This device is very simple to use. It took four steps to tune both the stereo and the TransDock to a vacant frequency - it allows you to adjust to any FM frequency in 0.1 stage increments. Driving around in Central London has provided very little interference. The sound quality is very good. You can setup four presets and if need be you can cycle through these to ensure a clean frequency. I have only had to do this once in the past week. You can also plug in other music players through the line in jack and there is a line out jack for such things as headphones. There are a couple of small things I have noticed that are a bit of a pain. The unit comes attached to a clumsy rotating mechanism which plugs straight into the cigarette lighter. My lighter socket is located on the dash so this heavy bit works itself out of the lighter socket particularly if I hit a rough bit of road. Also, the quality of the lighter adapter that plugs in is mediocre. We will get you up andOnce the search is complete, the. The device not only charges your iPod, but also lets you transmit audio via FM so that you can listen to it on your car stereo. This is the complete solution for your iPod and it requires no installation what so ever. It simply plugs right in and automatically turns the TransPod on when your iPod is docked and off when it is not in use. The front-based tuning buttons make it easy to navigate through FM channels and side based buttons control the backlighting and preset functions so you can safely set your background music and drive at the same time. The Transpod is compatible with all dockable iPods, including the nano and iPod with video as well as the 3rd gen nano and iPod classic, making it a great choice for listening to your iPod in the car. Broadcast on Your Car Radio The TransPod allows you to play your iPod tunes directly from your car radio. This allows you to listen to your iPod in the car without having to worry about connecting wires or using a cassette tape adapter. Charge While Listening The TransPod charges your iPod while you drive. This ensures that your iPod will be charged and ready to go when you reach your destination. Preset Stations The TransPod comes with 4 preset stations to help you find the proper frequency. The preset stations can be changed, allowing you to select an ideal preset for your area. Simply plug the unit into a car lighter adapter, stick a dock-connector iPod (including the video iPod and the Nano ) in the cradle, and adjust the arms for optimal comfort. We prefer these mount-style FM transmitters as they give users easy access--important when you're hurtling down the interstate going 90. The bottom of the device has a small blue-backlit one-line LCD screen that displays the current radio frequency and charging status. On either side of the display are two arrows for scrolling through radio stations. Conveniently, the cradle charges the iPod. With the help of the detailed instruction sheet, it took us a bit of experimenting to find the right position for our particular vehicle, but once the cradle was set up and plugged in, everything worked together well. The only downside is that the supporting arm is made of a cheap plastic that tends to flex when accessing the iPod controls; there's nothing major to worry about, but it's something to keep in mind while you're furiously smashing the Next button on the drive home. We fretted at times that a big bump would send everything flying, but bouncy rides were incident-free. Compared to many other FM transmitters, the TransPod worked well and sounded good enough to impress the entire CNET digital audio staff. With useful details such as an auxiliary output jack, an in-line battery charge indicator, and a virtually limitless amount of station options, the TransPod finally delivers a static-free FM transmitter that integrates seamlessly into your drive home.Let's round up some of its best.
