The problem is that linux comp is not connected to network and will never be connected so i can't download any packages i need.Any help appreciated. Anytime apt-get comes up, just download it from packages.ubuntu.com and install them manually. Or, in the case of wget, the full URL is given, so you can download the file from said URL on your Windows box and copy it over. At least this is my understanding. Any help for me?:) That's because the menu.lst file didn't get updated. Which means it shouldn't be slower because your using the old kernel.When restricting work to the dual core machine I get 8 tasks running, when restricting work to the main machine I get 4 tasks running.
