Maybe a couple of others here and there that I didn’t spot. From a few feet away it looks like new !! Even so, this is just about the cleanest example you will find. A cautionary. Please leave your valid email address below. Subscribe to our free newsletter UTILIZATION Set up is simple with this pedal and getting a sound out of it is as easy as hitting the stomp switch. There are no user adjustable parameters for any of the effects with the exception of rocking the treadle. The manual is pretty much all you can expect with just a quick explanation of the effects and how to hook it up. It also describes what the treadle changes on each patch.www.diversityholding.com/userfiles/files/canon-smartbase-pc1230d-manual.pdf SOUND QUALITY I mainly use this pedal in a guitar set up. Sound quality is an odd thing to comment on with this pedal since most of the sounds are meant to completely aletr your signal. The bypass however is terrible. There is an always active preamp connected to the volume trimmer and it is not a clear one at all. This pedal robs much of your high end when in bypass and can even clip at times. The switches are also pretty bad and can become intermittent easily. I always keep this box in a true bypass looper to solve both of these issues. My favorite sounds are the synth pads. They can be cheesy sounding at times but when used sparingly are great for creating sound scapes. There are other useable sounds in it but without any user adjustable parameters they can be difficult to work into a tune. OVERALL OPINION For the money these used to cost it was hard to beat.I luckily bought my first when they were on clearance because they did not sell well and bought a second one for cheap as a backup when I noticed how bad it was made. Unfortunately they have been discontinued and the used prices are just all over the map. Kind of funny how that happens. If you can find one in good condition it's a great box to have around but be warned about the reliability of it. I have changed the switches in both of mine numerous times and have now modded them to use a sturdier, more reliable stomp switch. By using our services, you agree to our use of cookies. I'd imagine the power requirements are probably printed on the case near the input jack. I don't have my Whammy handy at the moment, so I can't verify that right now, though. What is weird is that One Spot makes an adapter for that BP series effect which this supply powers, and it works on the BP series and a Vocal 300 I used to have, but won't power the XP series despite being the same power adapter plug in.weird.Click to expand. Users can get three space effects by using Space Station Pro, digital delay, digital delay-verb and digital reverb. Space Station Pro is made up of two independently modules, digital delay-verb module and a digital reverb module with all adjustable parameters, users can select the two modules by the MODE switch in the middle of the pedal. Each module is independent and corresponds to its own parameters, and the parameters of four knobs are reused. As everybody knows, the delay effect is indispensable, but sometimes we need to add a little reverb effect to enhance the sense of space, this time the digital delay-verb module is the best choice. When the digital delay-verb module is available, just turning on the REVERB knob, you can immediately get atmospheric and psychedelic space effect. The digital delay-verb module provides 2000ms of delay time, and the DELAY knob and REGEN knob can be used to respectively adjust delay time and feedback level, In other applications, if you need professional level reverb, just switching the MODE switch to the top, Space Station Pro immediately becomes a reverb pedal with all adjustable parameters. The digital reverb module provides four parameters, PREDELAY, DAMPING, DECAY and MIX, through adjusting them, any delicate reverb tone can be obtained easily. The digital reverb module can provide an atmospheric reverb with a long decay. The decay time can last tens of seconds! Please check their website for the length of warranty and warranty conditions. From the clips i have seen it does some great spaced out sounds, but i'm allergic to digital distortion and wah modulations. Can the effects be used without the distortion's? I does seem to do a pretty good whammy too. I only use the 1 octave up anyway on my WHII so it could be a space-saver. I really like the synth-swells and reverse delays on the Space-station, does the EX-7 come close? The XP-300 has 8 presets dedicated to the synth swell sound. I really like the XP-300, and there are several presets on it beyond the synth swells that make it a worthwhile pedal - reverse delays with pitch shifting expression control, pixellators for vintage ATARI sounds, ring modulators, and a decent step sequencer.Downloading the EX-7 manual would provide the definitive answer. There are other things the XP-300 does that I know the EX-7 doesn I'm gonna spend some time looking into it. If anyone has any links please post 'm. I bought one in the 90s, because I wanted the ring mod capabilities. It has some shortcomings, but nothing that I can't live with, mostly because I don't need to depend on it for live application. I solve this by placing compression after the XP-1000; but then you would need 2 compressors (which I have) if you plan to run the XP-1000 in stereo, which you should because the stereo effects are really what make this unit shine. Still, they work fine for certain applications, just not shredding or death metal, for example. Maybe Jetpack is building up a stash of XP series pedals to mod. The reverse delays are very cool but doubt they'd be essential live for me but in the studio would be cool - but then again, you could just do a reverse delay there instead. The wah wah modes were really good and dynamic. The whammy mode isspot on to a whammy 4. I didn't like the flanger or the leslie. The volume pedal mode is worthless. The space station mode is prob worth the price of admission. Lots of fun. I might get it again sometime bc of the space station and the whammy They were close on this one but not quite there. It could be improved so easily to create a real classic pedal. Paste as plain text instead Display as a link instead Clear editor Upload or insert images from URL. I play with a guy who uses it all the time, and it always sounds good and offers a lot more versatility than you would expect. There is also a problem with those who use a fuzz factory (zvex) with a whammy. I tried it with the ex-7 and it works amazingly. A seriously good pedal. And the synth swell is fantastic. Sure it aint much on the original space station pedal but at that price it's pretty much worth it for the synth swell alone. In terms of power it's pretty much the same as a whammy 4. Great Pedal, Great Sound, and not tone sucker! But would you get all the harmonies that are on the whammy? But would you get all the harmonies that are on the whammy? Although, it has distortion models too and I'm wondering if you can turn them off? But seriously, there's no way to make the Space Station Synth Swells sound natural. For the price, Digitech makes some cool stuff. On the space station settings you have detuned, 4th up, 5th up, octave up, 4th down, 5th down, and octave down. On the manual I noticed in between the these intervals there are 3 semi-intervals. If you selected one of these intervals in between the designated ones do you get other harmonies such as 2nd and 3rd? It may not display this or other websites correctly. You should upgrade or use an alternative browser. Then I took another look at it, and realized BOSS' GP-10 looks almost exactly like it. There hasn't been another product on the market like the Space Station in a while, do you think that's what they were trying to accomplish. Anyway, I'm thinking of picking one of these up for synth sounds, but I don't have a GK pickup yet. While I can see myself getting one in the future, I'd be really interested in hearing a side by side of the GP-10 with a normal pickup from a guitar vs.And for the big question: WHERE THE HECK ARE THE MANUALS?!!! I've been googling forever and I can't find the GP-10 manual, nor is it listed on BOSS's site. I found the manual for the Digitech XP 300, but I can't find the effect list, although I put significantly less effort into that before complaining about it just now haha. If I find the effect list, I'll post it and shut myself up, but I still need help finding the manual for the BOSS fella. For the GP-10 you will need a GK pickup to benefit the whole experience. For the GP-10 you will need a GK pickup to benefit the whole experience.Well, does anyone have a manual or anything for the GP-10 anyway. It may be worth buying a GK pickup equipped guitar just to have that for synth stuff and a backup rig anyway.
