I actually recommend this one to a lot of people who are looking for a cheap midi foot pedal. This pedal is one of the ones I can say can go head to head with the Behringer pedal (speaking on price and quality) The manual is also extremely easy to understand and use and if you don’t have the manual it can be downloaded on line in PDF format right away. Overall, you really couldn’t ask much more out of a midi “stomp box”.It will work as a generic controller or maybe your program has a preset for it (but probably not so don’t count on it) Most programs have presets built in for midi devices but unless it’s a device that has some kind of connection with the software through money or promotion then there wont be an automatic preset. This lets you select and sa ve a speci?c or differ ent Distortion Model to use with each Effect Model. For a list of Distortion Models, refer to the Distortion and Cabinet Models section. Mode 1 (MONO) is automatically selected when only one cable is plugged into either the OUT 1 (AMP) or OUT 2 (MIXER) output. Mode 2 (STEREO MIXER) is the factor y default stereo output mode.T urn the MODEL knob to Model 6 to select STEREO AMP mode. Leav e the MODEL knob at Model 7 to k eep the factor y default STE- REO MIXER mode selected. 6. Press the T OE SWITCH to exit Flexible Output Mode Setup; the INDICA T OR LED turns off and the pedal is bypassed. NO TE: Selecting any other Models besides 5, 6, or 7 will prev ent you from exiting Flexible Output Mode Setup. Here is the procedur e for calibration: 1. Begin with the pow er disconnected from the Expr ession Factor y TM. 2. Select Model 1 using the MODEL knob. 3. Insert a standard mono (TS) guitar cable into the FOO TSWITCH jack. 4. Connect the pow er supply to the Expression Factory. The INDICA- T OR LED begins ?ashing green. 5. Rock the EXPRESSION PED AL forward (toe down). 6. Select Model 2 using the MODEL knob. The INDICA T OR LED begins ?ashing yello w. 7. Rock the EXPRESSION PED AL back (toe up). 8. Select Model 3 using the MODEL knob. The INDICA T OR LED should ?ash green thr ee times if calibration was successful. If the calibration procedur e fails, the INDICA T OR LED will ?ash red instead of green during step 8 and the unit will not r eturn to normal operation until the Expression P edal has been properly calibrated. Select Model 1 using the MODEL knob at this time and repeat steps 5-8 until Expression P edal calibration is successful. The DO WN footswitch selects the next model down. Pressing and holding the DO WN footswitch for thr ee seconds selects Model 1. The UP footswitch selects the next model up. Pressing and holding the UP footswitch f or three seconds selects Model 7. NO TE: Use only the ster eo TRS cable that ships with the FS3X Footswitch to connect the F ootswitch to the Expression Factory. Hold for three seconds to select MODEL 7. DOWN Selects the next lower Model. Hold for three seconds to select MODEL 1.
