Please fix this problem Dewalt!!!I am not a professional, but I wanted a high-quality, accurate and reliable saw. I researched many other saws and decided on this one because of the DeWalt reputation and mostly positive reviews. I also wanted a high fence which is not available on many comparable saws. Also, one of the other saws I was considering was not in-stock anywhere. The saw was adequately secured inside the box and was in perfect condition. The saw itself is an excellent design, well made, easy to use, and out-of-the-box accuracy is spot on. I replaced the factory blade with a Diablo 60 tooth. Blade replacement was simple, straight-forward, and accomplished in a few minutes by following the directions in the manual and using the included tool. The manual is thorough and easy to read. Headings and pictures aid in quickly locating the section needed. Changing miter settings is quick and all settings are accurate. The detent over-ride and lock out feature is nice and allows the saw to be easily and quickly locked on to uncommon settings. The box was all beat up and had holes in it. Before I took a close look at the saw, I would have bet money that it was damaged but it wasn't. the nuts that secure the sliding part of the fence to the stationary fence were loose and rattling around in the box along with the sliding part of the fence. I ended up returning the laser attachment due to constant re-adjustment; the light casts a reliable shadow where your cut will be and is nice when you're working in dim light (it looks awesome at night!), just make sure you account for the teeth (you'll see what I mean if you get it). Installation is fairly simple, but involves taking apart the handle of your saw and making some electrical connections, it'll take you about 15-20 minutes, depending on your comfort level. This saw is portable, but still big and HEAVY.I'm 6'1 and it's a little unwieldly, even for me, but it has nifty handles under the base (so you don't smash your fingers when putting it down) If you're looking for a bench or mount for this saw, look no further than the DWX732 or one of it's smaller cousins, It makes things SO much easier. I bought the saw and the stand together and don't regret it!The saw guard is a definite disadvantage in accurately aligning cuts. Doesn't seem to have the power of the Makita saw I replaced. The table is much smaller, probably due to the increased angle cuts it can accomplish. I would have just bought the Festool Kapex saw if it was going in the shop, but on the road I could not justify leaving a Kapex in the truck.
