Just about any saw will fit, but you may need to drill an extra hole in each bracket for non DeWalt saws. The instructions cover how to attach the brackets to most modern DeWalt miter saws. My saw is a DW703, which was covered in the mounting instructions. There is a metal locking bracket on the stand that one of the brackets fits into. This keeps the saw from being able to move from side to side. It's a nice feature, but the brackets hold well without it. Nothing wrong with a bit of extra stability though. Legs fold up independently and lock in place. The stand feels very sturdy when set up, and the rubber feet prevent marring finished floor surfaces. The bottom handle works well for carrying the stand with the saw removed. Just make sure the material support struts are locked before packing the stand around. The material holders also work as length stops. They extend out plenty far for my uses. The extendable supports line up well and can be adjusted to compensate for the small amount of sagging when fully extended. The supports feel very sturdy and lock firmly into place but aren't level with the saw when extended. The stand folds up nicely for transport and storage.
