delonghi toaster oven xd479b manualTo calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzes reviews to verify trustworthiness. See All Buying Options Add to Wish List Disabling it will result in some disabled or missing features. You can still see all customer reviews for the product. So many reviews about loud beeps, they don't exist in my unit. Beeps are at a normal and comfortable level, same as my microwave oven. The factory has probally reduced it for units being shipped now. Tried the toast, broil and bake modes, all worked perfectly. Easy to operate. The timing for the toast mode is preset to a nominal 4 min. Never had a chance of getting close to the correct toast time or oven temperature with the knobs(inacccurate) in our old unit, it was all guess work. Amazon gives the dimensions of the box which was misleading to me. I believe the majority of purchasers of this type of item are more interested in the actual unit size. We were very much concerned about counter space as I think most consumers are. Would recomend this toaster to anyone and I give it 5 stars. Reviewed in the United States on March 21, 2007 This particular machine is very sleek looking, stylish, small and compact for narrow areas, which made it a plus for me. I liked the fact that it was the trendy black and brushed steel look too. I always thought that Delonghi was considered a very good brand but I was disappointed in this particular machine, considering the price for the unit. I found that the digital display LED lights were not fully functioning, as part of the numbers that were supposed to show up didn't. Second, the company could have provided stainless steel trays instead of the aluminum ones which seemed to be very light and capable of bending very easily.http://www.professional-tuner.at/uploaded/3m-2000-overhead-projector-manual.xml

Third, the very annoying piercing loud sound to indicate that a cycle was over was a real downer. Considering the amount of electronics that went into the design of this machine, one could expect that a beeper tone would be more harmonious than the shrill sound that is present. Every time I had to unplug the unit, the loud beep would reappear, which again for today's electronics circuitry does not need to be there. Please try again later. Susan 5.0 out of 5 stars This is far superior to others we've had. The timer provides assurance that it won't be inadvertently left on to cause a fire. Please try again later. Please try again later. SRMarco 4.0 out of 5 stars This model was one of the few that fit the bill. Yes, the beeper has an annoying tone (which can be remedied by following the info given in another review). Overall, a solid well-performing item. Please try again later. Please try again later. RT 4.0 out of 5 stars It's relatively small, which preserves counter space, yet it has more than enough room to meet all of my needs. First, I read all of those reviews about the so called annoying beeps which made me reluctant to buy the product. However, now that I've heard it for myself, I can tell you those comments were ridiculous. If that drives you crazy then you have a problem. In addition, how many times a day do you make toast. In my opinion, the 3 beeps are a plus because it reminds me the toast is ready. Second, so far I've only used the toaster function and it's been near perfect. This feature has been consistent and rock solid for 3 months. Third, prior to making a purchasing decision, I spent a week going to various stores trying out different toaster ovens and this one was hands down the best made product. Most of the other products I tried had a cheap feel, even some of the more expensive ones. None of them engendered confidence they would last a reasonably long period of time. When I close the door of the DeLonghi, it has a solid feeling and the digital controls are well made.http://www.drupalitalia.org/node/69355 And most important of all, everything works as designed. After 3 months, I rate this product a big time winner. The only reason I didn't rate it 5 stars is the fact that I haven't yet tried the oven functionality. However, judging by the high quality of this Toaster-Oven, there's no reason to believe it won't work well. I'm updating my review, I've had the product for over a year and it still rates highly in my book. I've used the oven repeatedly and it's just as good as the toaster function. This product is a winner. The one plus for the Sanyo is a removable crumb tray, while the DeLonghi has a drop down for removing crumbs. If compact size and toast are your top priorities, go with the DeLonghi. If you need a little more room, I would go with the Sanyo or a larger version of the DeLonghi. Please try again later. So I was wary. But it's not even an issue, as it turns out, and I am very happy with this toaster oven. Let's clear the air though. Yes, it does beep. Anytime you press a button, you will hear the electronic beep. It is very similar to the tone used for Microwave ovens, which I know can be annoying, but I personally don't find myself standing in front of the Microwave pushing buttons all day. I am assuming most people don't. Is the beeping really quiet. Not really--what would the point be if it were barely audible. Is it ear-shatteringly loud. Not by a long shot. Other people had issues with this being a complicated toaster. If you are used to a very straightforward toaster that you push a lever down and your favorite setting is all ready to go, then, yes, you'll have to learn this. Do you need to be a computer expert to do it? No. We had a digital toaster, so I was already used to having to choose my toast setting every time I plugged in the toaster.http://www.davetiyecionline.com/images/bosch-maxx-7-sensitive-user-manual.pdf But in any case, this is not hard. The Toast cycle is the first one programmed in the Mode menu. So all you do is put your bread in the toaster, press the Mode button one time (yes, you'll hear a beep) and press the up or down arrow on the Toast Selector to choose your shade of toasting. It is preset at 4 (out of 6) so if that works for you, you're done. If not, the arrows will adjust the setting (again, you will hear a quick beep for each push of the button). Then you press the start button. The timer actually counts down the time remaining, which is nice, and then it's all done. There is beeping to let you know when it's done, but if you really hate that, you could turn the unit off just before the timer goes off. Again, I am personally not offended by the sound. I didn't find it to be very difficult for the toasting cycle--but again, I did have a digital so this was par for the course for us. Another note is the toasting time. I make our bread so the slices are usually pretty thick and pretty uneven given my lack of finesse with a bread knife, so we are used to toasting each piece a few times to get it just right. The DeLonghi, I thought, did a GREAT job--even on a VERY thick piece of bread. It came out even and nicely browned in about 4 minutes. As I said, it could take several cycles with our older toaster, so I am very pleased with this idea of toast it once and be happy. I haven't tried baking or broiling yet, but I am hopeful those cycles will work well too. As always, I will keep my reciept, just in case, but I am very happy with the appearance and sturdiness of this one. I also LOVE that it's not huge, like some of the other toaster ovens out there. I didn't want one that was bulky or heavy, and this one is perfect for our needs. I would recommend it.Please try again later. Please try again later. Sheltonite 4.0 out of 5 stars I since left and became displeased with the former company's offering.http://lawcab.ru/wp-content/plugins/formcraft/file-upload/server/content/files/1626e91ca4abc7---bosch-iva-40-manual.pdf It killed me to consider a competing brand, but this is a fine product. The fit and finish, instruction manual, and ease of operation are quite good. As I learned, a toaster oven uses a lot less energy than a big oven, so I had to have one. My old one broke. There are only two minor observations to keep it from five stars. 400 degrees, the max, is not high enough for a crispy baked potato and the controls have diagonal arrows showing what function is selected. Even after 20 years in Toaster ovens I set mine wrong, line them up. The curved glass is a nice touch. A good gift for an older person as it will shut off with a timer. Please try again later. Please try again later. Amazon Customer 3.0 out of 5 stars Also, the oven beeps loudly during every command. For example, each time you click on toast, it beeps loudly. It also beeps each time you change the temperature. By far the biggest drawback to this oven, though, is that the temperature increases in 50 degree increments. Thus, if a recipe calls for something to be cooked at 375, you're out of luck; your only choices would be 350 or 400. Overall, this toaster oven is overpriced for what you get. Please try again later. But the awful beep! We were looking for another toaster to trade but couldn't find anything as small. Then unscrew all the screws around the edge of the back silver panel. Bend the outer casing up a bit so you can see inside - just enough to peek inside behind the control panel, don't crease the metal.argentinapools.com/contents//files/compaq-presario-2200-desktop-manual.pdf Look for the black cylinder with a hole in the top, its attached to the circuit board. This is the speaker. We covered the hole with a strip of electrical tape. It muffles the sound just enough to make it a useful alert that your toast is finished, but won't hurt your ears anymore. Posted 2 years ago. Size-wise, it's a bit bulky for what I'm use to, but after getting used to it, I enjoy it quite a bit. There is a good seal around the front window door. This would allow for more heat to the bottom of the pizza. I would like for another accessory to be a big square pan that you can place on top of the wire rack itself (not the round pizza sheet) - something similar to the crumb pan that's on the bottom. This allows for cooking things like chicken strips, french toast, etc that require more than the wire rack. The broiler pan can be used, but surface space is limited due to its bowl-like design on the edges. This may not be an option on many (or any) of this type of appliance, but it would be nice especially in the mornings when people are sleeping - this high-pitch beep can wake people up. My last wire rack had the wires closer together which helped keep food from falling through the wire spaces. Something to keep in mind if you cook smaller items.Initially, keep a close eye on your food so it does not burn. You put the frozen pizza in the oven from the start - no pre-heating. If you're waiting for a pre-heating beep in Pizza mode, it won't happen - that's all part of the cooking process. This one appears to cook evenly and just fine for what I use it for. Overall, a great oven functionally. For this price, I don't see why that wouldn't be a doable option. For what I did get to use, it worked great. I had a couple of things get slightly over done but I will adjust in the future to compensate for the higher temps this oven puts out over my previous portable oven. I have posted a picture of my previous oven and this one so you can see the size diference and also the round back of the oven that allows for a full-size pizza to be cooked. Should last us for many years. The modern exterior of the oven's cabinet is stainless steel, finished in an appealing, glossy satin. Although the oven itself weighs only twelve pounds, it has a heavier, quality-built feel to it. The oven's double glass door, which is thermally insulated, is hinged at the bottom and opens from the top down. When fully opened the double glass door allows unrestricted access to the entire oven's interior. An internal light allows you to visually check your cooking process while the oven is ON. For easier cleaning the whole, interior oven surface has a non-stick and non-scratch coating. There are two sets of stainless steel heating elements, one at the top, and, one at the bottom. For more efficient cooking there are four oven slot positions for placing your wire rack, bake pan, and, or pizza pan(s). For your convenience the slots are numbered and correspond to the suggested positions to use during the various selected cooking functions. Also included with the oven are the following accessories. There is a large, blue LCD, function screen, located just to the right of the oven glass door at the top. The LCD screen displays the following digital information. Pizza and Cookies are preset in time and temperature. Below the blue LCD screen are three round, rotary, multi-functional dials. In the center of each dial is a control push button. The center push button momentarily displays the actual internal oven temperature on the blue LCD screen when depressed. The center push button gives you the frozen food option when depressed. The De’Longhi Livenza Digital Convection Oven is designed for placement directly on your kitchen counter top and under your top cabinets. The oven cabinet sits on four sturdy legs, which allows space between your counter top surface and oven for heat dissipation. The manufacture recommends that you have at least four inches of clearance from the top of the oven to the bottom of your cabinets to properly vent any heat exhaust. This oven requires a maximum of 1,800 watts at 120 V, so the circuit you utilize should be separate from any of your other kitchen appliances to avoid the nuisance of tripping breakers. A 36”, heavy duty, grounded plug is provided with this oven. After two weeks of various use I just love this oven. It has an easy learning curve. WooHoo!The more I use it the easier it is to understand and the more versatile it becomes. In fact I am retiring my microwave. This baby heat up any leftovers I would normally 'nuke', and they stay hot. No more 'rubbery' bread or cheese, and, food hot for only several minutes. It is definitely worth the wait for me. YooHoo! I have made cookies, heated up leftover Stromboli, baked a ham and fudge brownies. YUM! This oven is fast and efficient as against using my larger range. Since it sits on my counter top, it is easily seen by my Grand Kids, who love to watch the cookies and brownies 'rise' as they are baked. The oven light is Kid-Friendly. I highly recommend the purchase of this De’Longhi Livenza Digital Convection Oven. It actually does more then my existing conventional, convection range oven, and, has eliminated any further use of my microwave. It is not only versatile, but fast and efficient too. It would make a great gift for any family member or friend, because it is a great multi-functional cooking 'convenience'. It is specially designed for 'active' and 'busy' people to save them time cooking, baking, and grilling in their kitchens. Get this oven, you will NOT be disappointed. SteveC Pros mentioned: Convection, Design, Pizza Cons mentioned: Crumbs, Frozen foods, Pan I got this DeLonghi oven to replace an ageing Frigidaire professional convection oven we’ve had for a few years now. The oven arrived very well packaged, the box came inside another box so there was no damage to the factory box at all. Inside the oven was cradled in a Styrofoam frame, the oven itself inside a big plastic bag and was in perfect shape. There’s a wire rack “just one”, broiler pan, a pizza pan, crumb tray a manual and some paperwork. Checking the oven out I noticed it uses a three prong grounded cord which is a lot heavier than the two prong cord the Frigidaire has on it, it’s also shorter. I was able to get it plugged in where we needed it using a 90 degree 6” adapter that’s made for high wattage devices. After removing all the packing materials and giving the inside a good wipe down with a wet rag I put the oven in the garage and ran a 30 minute 450F “max heat” cycle. It really stunk up the garage and I highly recommend you do this before using it inside the first time. After doing that initial heat there wasn’t any type of odor coming out of it. What really surprised me is when I set it for 450F and turned it on there was a message about the oven Pre-Heating. I decided to time this to see how long it would take to go from about 70F “room temp” to 450F, and was very impressed that it only took 4 minutes. I verified it was up to temp using a thermal imager. One thing I noticed DeLonghi mentioning is that the oven has a double glass door to help keep the door glass cool. I figured this would be a great test to use the thermal imager on so I did a comparison between it and the Frigidaire, “thermal photos attached”. I was very impressed with what I found. The glass on the DeLonghi was much cooler after 15minutes then the Frigidaire, you could actually put your hand against the DeLonghi and it was just warm, the Frigidaire would burn you if you did that and was a common complaint between both of us as my wife had singed the back of a finger a couple of times. I wanted to try something right away and we happen to have a package of Red Baron frozen French bread pizza. I noticed these came out much better than the Frigidaire, they were more evenly browned and heated. The Frigidaire uses quarts elements, 2 on top and 2 on bottom so you have to make sure the items you are cooking are centered correctly, there’s sort of a dead “cooler” area right in the middle of that oven. The Delonghi has standard oven looking elelments top and bottom and they are shaped into a 4 way S pattern so that the whole bottom and top are evenly heated, there’s a definite difference between the two on how the heat is distributed. My wife has been making toast and heating up dinner rolls in it and she says it heats up quite a bit faster than our old one, she was very surprised how fast it makes toast and how even the top is compared to the old oven. I’ve also heated up some frozen leftover Domino’s pizza “yes I like pizza” and it did a great job on that. For two pieces, “placed on aluminum foil” with the bottom rack in slot 1, I sent it controls for pizza, frozen, 8”, it showed about 10 minutes till finished and at the end of the cycle the pieces were hot “very hot, and the bottom crust nice and crisp, “couldn’t have asked for better”. In comparison with the Frigidaire I would have to preheat the pieces in the microwave for 30 seconds before putting them in and then heat for 15 minutes to get about the same results, just not quite as well. I do wish it came with a second rack, they show one in the instructions but there wasn’t one with this unit. The one thing I do miss about the Frigidaire unit is it had a “Bagel” setting which I liked to use to toast buns when making hamburgers, only the top element would heat leaving the bottom warm and soft. I can get around this by setting the buns on some tinfoil and putting the rack in the level 3 slot, using the toast function. This worked really well and it’s an acceptable compromise to not having a dedicated Bagel setting. We’ll be using this a lot for getting our Christmas dinner ready and may not even have to turn on the big oven, I have a feeling it will be seeing a lot less use.
