Our Northern California climate is moderate in the winter -- 40s to 50 at night. The baseboard heaters built into our condo impede furniture placement and are very inefficient. On a friend's advice we bought the DeLonghis for all our heating needs. One heater will take care of an average bedroom or office. The design, features, quality and safety of these heaters, which we've owned for two years, have presented no problems. (Except, the wheel assembly mechanisms are not up to the quality of the rest of the unit.) Our winter electric bills continue to shock us, however. Don't forget, even at its lowest setting one of these heaters uses 600W. We're keeping them for the reasons we bought them. Now we take care to set them at the minimum required for the setting. P.S.: DeLonghi build good stuff. We have a portable air conditioner built by them and after five years it continues to provide excellent service. Please try again later. 0 out of 5 stars I purchased mine for a large bathroom full of cold tile and marble, and it warms the whole room superbly. I set the timer to turn it on about an hour before I get up in the morning, and turn off about 15 minutes before I leave. Warm bathroom everyday. Love it! When I accidentally leave the bathroom door open, it heats my bedroom too. At first, I noticed the smell mentioned by others, but it quickly went away on mine and have not noticed it since. But then it heats extremely well. My only complaint is more of wish.I wish it had a digital thermostat and timer instead of two settings and a mechanical timer just because it would make it even easier to use. Please try again later. The heat will hold 30 min or longer after shut down. Image, an alternate heat sourcs that is silent. You got it, virtually silent, no fans and it heats my 15x17 room very well. It took a few hours to burn off the newness of the DR18T, the cord, I wish and so do others was about 12 inchers longer but it has not become an obstical. Now sharp edges, like some of the less expensive models in local stores. The big wheels in back make it very easy to move around. We found it uses about as much energy as my husbands 53 inch TV. The heater is a keeper !Please try again later. Please try again later. Jeanne B. 4.0 out of 5 stars One thing about DeLonghi, they make quality products and they don't skimp on using good materials. (Still using in 2014 -- bought in 2004.) These units are a little bulky compared to others, but the wide base is a good safety feature to keep them from tipping over as this type of heater does get hot on the outside. Please try again later. Klepach 2.http://birdbrook.co.uk/userfiles/bosch-magneto-manuals(1).xml0 out of 5 stars The room I was trying to heat had a smaller Delonghi heater which worked OK, but I wanted to be able to warm the room faster and to a higher temperature. I though this heater would do the job: it was bigger and had more heating elemnts. I was wrong. This heater does a poor job and a worst job than my smaller heater. All the heat rises from the top of the unit straight up to the ceiling and does little to warm the entire room. Please try again later. Please try again later. Joe H. 4.0 out of 5 stars I felt it would do the job that I needed, at the price I was looking to spend. I don't need my garage to be 75 degrees, all I was looking for was a way to take the chill out of the air this winter. I purchased this radiator for my 3 dogs. I have a 3-car garage and it gets awfully cold in the Oklahoma winters. I thought about what I could do to heat it up for my dogs this winter, because the back door is open all the time so they can go in and out. It's a large garage, and with the door open it makes it even more of a challenge. I decided to put up plastic sheeting blocking off one third of the garage (the storage side, also the side with the door), leaving two thirds open (the side the dogs sleep in). They go outside through a slit in the plastic. I put the radiator next to their bed and it does the trick. The garage stays a toasty 50-55 degrees (remember these are dogs, 50 is fine for them), even when it is snowing, windy, and in the teens outside (as it was this week). And when they are sleeping on their bed, the radiator puts out plenty of heat for them, and I'm sure it is much higher than 50 degrees within a few feet of the radiator. I think this radiator will definitely do the job this winter. I thought it might be a little dangerous with the dogs, especially since one of them likes to get into everything. But they haven't messed with it so far. It was easy to assemble, and I had it up and running in a few minutes.http://www.drupalitalia.org/node/68080 It solved my problem, and my dogs love it!Please try again later. Please try again later. An electric element at the base of the heater draws in cold air from floor level, which heats up quickly as it passes through the element and then rises through a metal vent at the top of the heater.https://laneopx.com/wp-content/plugins/formcraft/file-upload/server/content/files/1626c62316d5b5---8v92ta-manual.pdf Very little can go wrong with a DeLonghi convection heater, but if your heater isn't working you can troubleshoot the problem to decide whether to get it repaired or buy a new one. Undo the screw on the cover of the plug, using a screwdriver so you can access the wiring and fuse. If any are loose, undo the terminal screw using a small screwdriver, and insert the wire into the hole. Tighten the screw. Pry it out, using a small screwdriver. Put in a new fuse. Make sure it's the same ampere rating as the one you removed. The rating is printed on the side of the fuse. Replace the plug cover and insert the plug into the mains socket. Turn on the DeLonghi convection heater. If it works, you've solved the problem. If it doesn't, continue troubleshooting. Turn it slightly more once it's clicked, and check if the heater is working. If it is, the dial was set too low for the heater to start working. If you didn't hear a click when turning the dial, the thermostat isn't working and needs replacement. If the dial clicked and the heater isn't working, the heater element or the internal safety fuse needs replacing. Torchiere with Reading Light and 14.Thanks to the largest material support table of any portable planer on the market and a tight-locking cutterhead, boards feed through effortlessly with minimal snipe. Unlike other portable planers, DeWalt's provides an easy-to-read gauge of how much material each pass removes as well as the amount left over on the original board. Rather than using double-edged knives, this model takes two big M2 high-speed steel knives with single-surface cutting areas that deliver an impressive 64.1 cuts per inch.chingjin.com/userfiles/files/87-nissan-pickup-manual-transmission-fluid.pdf Changing knives took us a mere 10 minutes (and we were new to this design) and--better yet--they can be resharpened multiple times rather than discarded after one use. Powered by 15 amps with a no-load speed of 10,000 rpm, DeWalt's easily transported planer is a nice combination of high performance and convenience. Each planer ships with an extra set of knives, magnets, and wrenches. --Justin Paul I Also would like two speeds, as with most of my reviews this is my fault for not spending the money. You will be hard pressed to find a planer that will do a better job than this DW733.Set up was a snap, maybe an hour to remove from the box and double check all adjustments. If you do the basics - keep knives sharp, in and out tables adjusted properly and provide support for long pieces - this machine will give you great results.Snipe is minimal to non-existant.The only negative I have found so far is the carrying handles. If you don't carry it level the planer can shift on the telescopic handles and pinch your hand. But sure enough, they're right--and so is the price. Porter-Cable makes some of the best pneumatic tools in the industry, and these nailers are two prime examples. The 16-gauge is sturdy, compact, lighter and quieter than you'd expect with a grip even smaller hands can get around. Great balance, easy depth-of-drive adjustment, and a pleasure to use. Similarly, the 18-gauge is light but rugged, comfortable and maneuverable, even in awkward places or after long runs. Some other features we like: a special hardened driver blade, a sequential fire trigger, a visual reload indicator, a safety located behind the driver guide for driving brads in tight spaces and an easy-to-adjust depth guide. Both guns have directional exhausts, too. The pancake-style compressor has a six-gallon tank and easily runs both guns at the same time. It's light, portable and doesn't want much from you in terms of maintenance--it's oil-free and Teflon-coated.http://julieesteban.com/wp-content/plugins/formcraft/file-upload/server/content/files/1626c6238dd824---8vm533m-rz-manual.pdf Some other reasons to like it: a high-flow regulator, an easy-to-read air pressure gauge, automatic thermal overload protection, an industrial-style quick-connect body in the air outlet, and a long-life motor with replaceable brushes. We can't imagine this deal will be around forever. --Kris Jensen-Van Heste I imagine they should be coming soon.I mailed my rebate away either in late December or early January, if that helps to give a time frame. These are the genuine Vornaodo replacement wicks. Order several and get free shipping. YOu need to replace these often in the humidifying season, so stock up. Best price around. Vornado humidifiers ALL take these wicks. Making sure that the consumer gets the right ones and EASILY is a great idea. These are made in the US. What's up with that. If you're buying several packages at a time, that really adds up! My sister spent a lot of mony on a Hunter that is supposedly clean free, but it always had mold in the standing water when I lifted the tank for refill. This Hamilton Beach is a wonder. I use it every night year round. If you follow the directions and put the parts in the dishwasher once a week and turn the filter every time you refill the tank it works like a charm. The only time I have had a filter go bad is when I go on a trip and it just gets moldy. I haven't found a way around that. But otherwise, I can use one for months without a problem. It's all in following the directions. And it helps to change the water in the tank at least every other day.I recommend this item to everyone. The water absorbs into the filter so it gets moldy. That is the nature of the design. Humidity in room never gets to the desired humidity level because the humidifier does virtually nothing. The filters are what they are, it is the humidifier itself that is poorly designed and worth about five bucks. The high setting is super loud.http://www.naturapreserved.com/wp-content/plugins/formcraft/file-upload/server/content/files/1626c6247bb187---compaq-ipaq-3955-color-pocket-pc-manual.pdf Be careful though - make sure you turn it over at least once a day and if you can, leave it to air dry for 2 hrs - it really extends the life of these filters. Order a couple at once ( save yourself the shipping!!) as amazon can run out in the winter - a definite buy for the HB humidifier This is the ultimate bandsaw for the money. No pund intended. I looked at the Jet Models and compared horse-power, number of spokes per wheel, construction and cost. I looked at all the woodworking dealers in my area and you will not find a better band saw for the money. Not only that it comes with a fence and miter, extra on other models. The fence is a godsend.Well worth the effort. I like the quick release for the blade. The cast aluminum parts concern me because you have to be careful not to over-tighten things. Get a mobel base for this unit if you plan on moving it around, it's heavy. Don't buy the one from Fox (I did and don't like it at all).Delta is selling a similarly priced model at Lowe's, and Rigid is selling a similarly priced model at HD, but I don't think there's any comparison in quality -- you just get more for your money with the Grizzly. You certainly get much better blade guides with the Grizzly, but I also think the overall construction, fit, and finish is better.Assembly was easy. The manual is well written, and is actually very useful. The main fence rail was a little warped, so the the fence would bind up when sliding along the rail. Grizzly customer service was pleasant, helpful, and had a new part on my doorstep in a couple of days. Not bad for one phone call. No complaints there -- Grizzly customer service rates a 10 in my book. The new fence rail works like a charm.I am constantly impressed by the quality of this saw and the other Grizzly products.Buy it and you will not be disappointed.Make sure you have some help for unloading and setting up the saw; it can be challenging, although possible, for only one person to set it up.china-vitai.com/userfiles/files/87-nissan-300zx-manual.pdf A dimensioning speed of 60 cpi allows you to shave rough wood to its desired thickness quickly and accurately, with virtually no snipe. Then, with a single pass at the quicker finishing speed of 90 cpi, your wood comes out ultrasmooth and ready to go. The razor-sharp, double-sided M2 steel knives are powered by a 15 amp, 120-volt, single-phase motor. Bells and whistles like a blade zero indicator (which lets you set the cutterhead to the exact thickness of your wood), patented cutterhead lock (which eliminates snipe), and easy blade-change system add to the value, as do the oversize infeed and outfeed tables, which make it easier to glide your wood through the machine. Overall, this is one solid piece of machinery. --Carl Thress At first I was thrilled. The unit made short work of rough lumber. The depth stop was outstanding. Snipe? I really didn't notice any.I also noticed sometimes boards would feed a few feet in (these are 4' lengths) then sieze up. I also started to notice the dreaded snipe. She didn't say where to adjust it to so I tried up and down to no avail. She also said the siezing was caused by perhaps dirty feed rollers and if I put the speed control in the middle (neutral) the rollers would rotate freely. NOT SO, to clean the entire surface requires random runs to position the rollers to different stop points. When I picked it up the repair guy was noticably condenscending. Perhaps I didn't bother to read the instructions. Did I even have the instructions. Could I read? He accused me of breaking it (causing the stop to not work). He came just shy of saying the snipe was due to the flimsy little feed tables on infeed and outfeed and to fix it I need to build a good perfectly level feed table for both sides. This thing cost more than my Jet (or Delta) table saw. For that money I don't expect to be buying flimsy. At any rate, the Jet Planer is way beyond my budget so I am stuck with the Delta. If the two were close I'd give this puppy only one star, sell it and get the Jet. The pitch sounds the same, the feed rate appears the same, and the finish looks the same. If anything, the slow speed finish might actually be smoother. It is close either way. This is the best one I've ever used. First off what really impressed me was that there was not that much assembly required (unlike most of delta's products). Second the finishing speed on the planer nearly eliminated the need for sanding (a big plus in my book). Lastly the blades seemed to hold up well. The first time out of the box I put it to work on a set of hard maple face frames and doors. Only at the end of my planing opporation did the boards start to show signs of planer marks (by that time I had put over 300 board foot of material through that planner). The planer marks were small and were easily taken care of with a cabinet scraper. Though out the entire process I only found one case of snip in a board and after that I have not detected any more cases of snip. The only reason I gave it 4 stars was the dust chute was not included rendering the planer usless with out it. Luckily I had read some of the reviews before I bought this planer so I knew I had to kick down the extra mony for the dust chute to start planing right out of the box. Set its control when a room reaches the desired humidity level and the device maintains that level by restarting when the humidity falls below the setting. Three fan speeds provide additional control; at low speed, the humidifier is bedroom-quiet. Two 2-gallon plastic bottles fit into the humidifier and permit water-level monitoring. They're virtually indestructible, spillproof, and leakproof, and have wide-mouth spouts and flat backs for easy filling. This one is a keeper. The design is what first got my attention. The symmetrical design looked much more pleasing to the eye, the colors were muted and I had the feeling it would blend into any room. The reason I decided to purchase another humidifier was because I almost ruined a nice pot by forgetting about the water boiling on the stove. After that incident, I knew I had to find a better solution when the air in my home became too dry. I didn't want one of those humidifiers that heats the water and leaves your house steamed up. I wanted something more in line with a natural evaporation system. Vornado Humidifiers deliver cool moisture the same way nature does. The wicks also trap minerals and other water-borne contaminants, providing clean, healthy moisture. The self-regulating evaporative technology insures you won't over-humidify the air. That makes it more cost efficient in the long run. What I love most about this design is how easy it is to take apart. You simply lift the fan portion off the unit. Then, you can easily clean the base. This makes more sense to me. The wicks (which you can replace easily every three to four months) are treated to inhibit the growth of bacteria and the plastic parts naturally will resist the growth of water borne contaminants. The 2-gallon bottles keep water in the storage containers, so it remains clean and safe. While you can set this on the high setting, I appreciate the lower almost silent setting. This is perfect when you put the humidifier in the bedroom. Not only does this have three settings, it also has a humidistat with a max to low setting. If you want to move this unit, do remove the bottles first. I move it from the upstairs to the downstairs with ease. It is very light. The bottles have an easy to fill design which is a nice feature. The wide-mouth, funnel-shaped spout fits nicely under the faucet. Physicians do recommend humidification for children and adults to help soothe dry, scratchy throats and to alleviate congestion due to colds and allergies. To maximize this, I recommend purchasing essential oils and dropping them on the top of the humidifier. There is a nice round disc right above the fan which is perfect for this application. I use a nice blend called RC. It contains peppermint, eucalyptus, marjoram, pine, cypress, spruce and lavender. I only use this blend when I want to purify the air in my home, otherwise, I just use a lavender essential oil as the RC blend has a more Vicks type scent. If you don't live in a desert or in an area where the air is overly dry in the winter, you might want to go with the 2.8 gallon size. If you want to keep the unit running all winter, then this larger size will save you from constantly needing to refill the water bottles. They do advise you to let the water run out and then to let the wicks continue to dry before you shut off the unit. It really isn't any extra effort and it helps to circulate the air in your home. This Vornado has all these. The fan is indeed very quiet at low speed - the most quiet of any other type (I checked about 6 or 7 others, including models from Bionaire, Holmes, Honeywell, Kenmore and some other less-well-known brands). So far the humidistat seems to work - turns the unit on and off periodically. I would have rated this unit 5 stars if not for one small glitch. As air periodically enters the tank when water evaporates it makes a quite disturbing sound. Several times per hour, not too often, but it is loud. I think it can be fixed by plugging a suitable piece of rubber with a small hole after the tank is full - this way only small amounts of air will enter and it will be quiet. Other humidifiers don't suffer this small problem. Overall the Vornado is an excellent, well-bilt product, due mainly to its quiet and strong fan and its simple construction. I was amazed to see reviews of this product complaining about leakage, as checking for leaks is covered in STEP 1 of the instruction booklet. The manufacturers explicitly state that before using the product, leaks in the base and tanks should be checked for, and they give clear instructions as to how to accomplish this; they also guarantee free replacement in case of any faults. As a lifelong insomniac and light sleeper, I routinely use earplugs of the type that muffle sound but do not block it out (i.e. I can hear a loud whisper in the room). The humidifier has not bothered me. It does make a gurgling sound as the water level hits a point where an air-bubble enters the tank and forces more water out. This is not a very loud or unpleasant sound. This is, in my humble opinion, a great humidifier for anyone who can read instructions and use a modicum of common sense. But that's not the only reason to step up to the 735. Its powerful 10,000 rpm motor will handle anything you feed it--oak, walnut, exotics--with absolute ease. The three-knife cutterhead will make 96 or 179 cuts per inch, depending on which speed setting you choose. Mess is minimized with the fan-assisted chip ejection, which literally vacuums chips off the cutter-head and blows them out the exhaust. The 735's automatic carriage lock will save you from snipe by reducing the movement that causes it--what a great idea. We also love the redesigned thickness scale--it's big and super-visible, even in poor lighting. Those who do repetitive cuts will appreciate the turret depth-stop; set your most-used cuts to it once and you're always assured of accuracy. The home woodworker will be thrilled, and the professional's expectations will be more than met. This is a winner. --Kris Jensen-Van Heste I have used it on all kinds of wood hard and soft and it has done an excellent job. So far no need to sharpen or replace the blades, although I would not have expected to at this pointI think Dewalt should consider including them as part of the package rather than as an option. The sleek black polymer case measures 12 by 12 by 9 inches, andbecause it contains no glowing metal elements, does not get hot to thetouch. Air intake vents on the sides allow the heater to be placeddirectly against a wall. Plug in, warm up, and rest easy with aone-year warranty against defects. --Ann Bieri Tile floor, double-width full-size windows, no direct sunlight. Unit heated room to desired temp in SECONDS and kept it there ALL WINTER, EFFORTLESSLY and QUIETLY, even at 2 am, during a blizzard with 50 mph gusts. Even when heating it is cool to touch, minimizing fire hazard (if any!) compared with any other stand-alone room heater, and making it safer around children and pets. The only explanation for the unit failing to heat a room from 60 degrees to 72 degrees is that the unit was faulty or damaged, was not plugged in, or the outlet was faulty or switched off. This is a terrific product, as room heaters go. As a result the room gets gently warmer, not the three feet of space in front of the heater. With three units purchased at different times, I would think I would have come across one of the defective ones that others have complained about, but I have not had that happen to me. I am very pleased. And lastly, the price was greaT! This was my first purcahse of a lamp or furniture of any kind via Amazon, so perhaps I was just naive in believing some of the reviews. Since I just received it I can't judge using the tool at this point so I'll post another review in a few months with that second part. I'm taking it seriously, however, with big plans for house remodel projects.I was called three business days later (!!!!!) by the freight company to schedule delivery. Upon delivery, the freight company unloaded the large crate (with the jointer top) via dolly and pulled it up a hill into my detached garage. They went a step beyond and never even mentioned it. My delivery crate was completely undamaged. The other box that the base arrived in was also free of damage.
