delonghi dehumidifier de 500 manualSave on energy bills with the Energy-Star qualification and eco-friendly R410A refrigerant. Choose the ideal humidity level that best suits your needs by adjusting the humidistat. Monitor the relative humidity and temperature with the easy to use LCD electronic controls. There are three ways to collect the water; drain continuously through the patented pump system with the16' included hose, passively through the 3? included hose or directly into the tank with 6 liter capacity What can I do? Check after 30 to 45 minutes to see if condensation has formed on the outside of the glass. If no condensation has formed, there is no humidity to be collected. If condensation has formed, your unit should be extracting moisture from the air. Calling Delonghi was a waste of time. Please try again later. Please try again later. Pablo R. Vitaver 1.0 out of 5 stars I ran the discharge hose to the AC drain, so it runs unattended. Easy setup, nice looking. It has to work almost fulltime to keep a 2,200 sq foot appt at 50 humidity, so I am not sure is a large enough unit. I have a second unit (Sears), helping out. I am afraid that after 18 months, the pump stopped working, so I can't use it anymore. Warranty is over after 1 year. Please try again later. Please try again later. Richard N. Ferrante 2.0 out of 5 stars My wife got an immediate headache and I couldn't take it either. We couldn't even if we put it downstairs in the basement. We had to send it back at our expense, even though we consider it defective. We went out and bought something else that works fine. Please try again later. Please try again later. W. After discussing the issue with the support center, I was told the nearest service center is 90 miles away. I would have to ship it and pay for the repair if I want it fixed. That would be more than just buying a new one. They need to get more Service centers to support their product. It pulls water from the air, but now I have to empty the bucket 3 times a day! Please try again later. The dehumidifier works with the drain bucket and is a royal pain until I hook up a hose to the manual drainage area. The humidity gague on the unit is totally unreliable and has been since I purchased this machine. I regret purchasing this unit. Please try again later. Please try again later. R. Berry 3.0 out of 5 stars It was around the second year that the pump failed. It would just make a clicking noise.http://www.clair-environnement.eu/catalogue_dynamique/bosch-logixx-6-manual.xml The problem is that the in-line filter before the pump clogs with dust in the water from the coils. The solution is to disassemble the unit and remove the filter. Once that is done, you can back-flush the filter to clean it out. I also went as far as to disassemble and clean the pump out. When I reassembled the unit, I replaced the hoses attached to the filter with longer ones. That way, I will not have to disassemble the unit to clean the filter the next time. The longer hoses allow me to pull it out by removing the back grill instead of opening the case. Other than that it is a very solid unit, although somewhat noisy. Please try again later. Please try again later. D. Hartgrove 1.0 out of 5 stars Now in its second season, the humidifier cannot keep the humidity level less than 65---at any lower setting, the compressor runs, but does not pull water. Do not bother contacting DeLonghi or accessing their website; DeLonghi continues to sell a product long after they have removed information about it from the website. Try another product. Please try again later. Please try again later. Gnugs 1.0 out of 5 stars A very small plastic part snapped that is needed to control water tank overflow -- obviously poor design to start with. Replacing it would require no disassembly or unscrewing anything -- just lifting it out and slipping in a replacement. The company refused to let me buy a replacment part. I was told that it had to be packed and shipped to a repair center. An absolutely ludicrous and pathetic excuse for customer service and an obvious customer-gouging policy. Don't buy DeLonghi anything -- I doubt any DeLonghi products are worth the trouble, expense or hassle. Please try again later. Please try again later. Sipholux 1.0 out of 5 stars This dehumidifier is built with very poor quality. Less than a month into operation they start rattling. Even if I can ignore the noise, I can't ignore that this unit's pump just broke 3 times.http://www.drupalitalia.org/node/67988 Once the pump stops working, this unit is useless as it has a very small water container. When those black blotches, flaking paint and mould begin to appear, it’s time to take action. To be clear, a dehumidifier takes moisture out of the home. It’s not to be confused with a humidifier, which adds moisture into dry environments.BANGTAIPVC.COM/upload/files/casio-digital-diary-sf-4600-manual.pdf Something to be clear on when making your purchase as that mix up could be a real clanger! You may have a more serious problem that requires a builder’s expertise. However, a dehumidifier is a great way to keep damp at bay. So how much power to do you need to tackle the problem? This level of power means many are also useful for drying clothes, a bit like an airing cupboard might help you do. So if you’re in the market for a tumble dryer, too, this might help you make a saving as a two-in-one purchase. But which one is best. Read our dehumidifier reviews to find out. Damp can not only ruin your home but it can cause and agitate respiratory issues too. Living in a house with damp has been associated with asthma, chest infections and allergies. Having a dehumidifier might help to prevent nasty spores from becoming airborne and being breathed into your lungs. Generally speaking, the higher the price, the more water you’ll be able to absorb. As is often the case, spending more up front can often mean a saving in the long run as you will have a more efficient machine. The Duronic DH05 Mini Compact is the best budget dehumidifier, if you’re looking for a super-affordable option. Is it a dehumidifier. Is it a tumble dryer. It’s sort of both. This beast sucks so much moisture out of the air it will actually dry your wet clothes as they hang nearby. That means it does all these jobs without using a lot of power at just 270 watts. Despite being relatively small this dehumidifier can suck up to 25 litres of water out of the air per day. It covers an area about the size of a five bedroom house. Thanks to wheels you can roll this dehumidifier to the bathroom or back door easily enough. You can use the water tank handle to easily slide out and empty the water. There’s a continuous drainage mode and two metre hose, making it the ideal dehumidifier for drying out a shed or boat. Modes can also be selected here including laundry mode and a useful night mode that runs super quietly.http://ontheedgeofnow.com/wp-content/plugins/formcraft/file-upload/server/content/files/1626c5c310ab88---canon-mvx30i-manual.pdfThat means that this can actually dry laundry with more energy efficiency than a tumble dryer. It does this without taking up the room, too, since it’s only a little larger than a kitchen bin. Set this to CompactDry and it’ll do the work on maintaining a healthy 45-55 humidity, using its 20 litre extraction per day rate. Digital controls, energy saver and sleep modes are all excellent additions. Together they make this a top-end dehumidifier that’ll handle entire houses with ease. The 2-litre capacity unit stands just under 55cm tall making it perfect to slip into a cupboard, potentially turning it into a clothes drying space. It’ll do this without disturbing you too as the system produces just 34 dbA which in real-world speak is not a lot, unless you’re a very light sleeper. In fact we found it quite soothing as a way to lull us into the land of nod. As such that gets you the quiet performance but also a power consuming friendly delivery of dry air too. That means this works in a wide variety of temperatures ranging from just 1 degree Celsius right up to 35. This will suck away the moisture in the air at a rate of 7-litres per day, cutting off when full so you can empty the tank which, even when full, is still nice and light. If you’re using it for clothes drying then you can pick the Laundry mode which essentially means high power performance for faster drying clothes when hung nearby. There is also a maximum performance Turbo function, so if you really need a spill or damp area dried fast this will make short work of the job. In fact the company offers its own Condensation Cure Guarantee, it’s that confident in its dehumidifiers. This model features a large 18L per day suction rate and a respectable 2.5L tank which will cause an auto shut off when full. The front loading water container makes removal and emptying easy while the limited size keeps it light too.http://www.phonefixcomo.com/wp-content/plugins/formcraft/file-upload/server/content/files/1626c5c38dc67f---canon-mvx30i-user-manual.pdf Since it’s built to take on a house with up to five people it should work no matter where you place it in the home. Ebac also uses its own Advanced Smart Control system which means the unit can detect when to operate without you needing to switch it on and off. The result is that you can leave this anywhere it’s needed, walk away and let it do its work. Since it runs quietly you’ll likely forget it’s even there until you walk by and see the water full indicator alerting you to empty it, ready for another session of damp suction. The cable is long at just over 2-metres so this can be moved about and plugged in wherever it’s needed with relative ease. The white finish, shapely front ducts and lit display all make for a strong look that will let you place this anywhere without it making the room look bad. This will work to cover an entire room but anything more and you’ll be struggling. It does offer a respectable 250 ml extraction rate and a 500 ml tank so emptying isn’t difficult or something you need to do regularly. But then this is so small and quiet you’ll barely notice it’s even there. This offers an affordable way to manage damp that may otherwise cause issues with breathing and brickwork. The unit stops working when full and illuminates a light so you can easily empty, replace the tank and it’ll kick in working again. The DeLonghi is also light, meaning that carry handle can come in useful for moving and emptying the two litre tank. However you can’t adjust fan speed and you don’t get a humidistat. This does struggle in colder environments outside of the house. It might not be the most powerful but as long as it’s in a warm environment it’ll do the job. It can suck 10 litres of water out of multiple rooms at once in a day. The result is a dehumidifier that’s the heavy duty monster of its class, meaning large jobs are done with ease. This is great for a larger home with a family where lots of moisture is created each day.BANGLENHOSPITAL.COM/UserFiles/File/casio-digital-diary-sf-4300b-manual.pdf Other useful features include continuous drainage mode, a timer, auto restart and auto defrost. It also has a filter clean indicator and wheels to move the unit about easily. As the name suggests it does all this while keeping energy consumption relatively low too at 257 watts. That means a 12 litres per day extraction rate into a 4 litre tank. This is all run by a humidistat so you can sit back and let this do its thing as it covers an area of about three rooms. The company claims this saves you up to 40 percent on energy compared to competitors, at just 180 watts. This is further enhanced using the timer function. That allows you to hit the perfect level and, potentially, to dry clothes too. Plus, there is a continuous mode so you can drain off a wet area like a garage easily using a hose. Costing you very little to buy, this saves in other areas with its meagre 2.5 watts power consumption. Of course, this is largely because of the size of the unit, which is made to handle a single room at most. You are alerted to with a simple notification light. The size also means this dehumidifier is light enough to move about and is easy to empty. It’s always best to speak with the company you’re buying from to clarify your needs and make sure you’re getting the right model for you. But to narrow it down a bit, here are some facts it helps to know. While this sounds impressive it uses more power than a compressor model and generally that range won’t be needed in the UK. These use a heated absorbent material to extract water from the air and drop it into a tank. It also means far less energy usage so these compressor models are more affordable to run. These dehumidifiers draw in air using a filter over cold coils which condenses the air moisture that drips into the water tank. A single speed is fine for slow and steady use where you leave it on running. But if you want to turn it off and on and gets bursts of dry, or dry clothes quickly, you may want to look out for more fan speed settings and a humidistat which keeps the humidity at a level you select. Generally anything under 500 ml is for confined areas like cupboards, wardrobes or a single room at most. Step up to 5-10 litre machines and you can clear a larger area of around 30 square metres, aka, a few rooms. If you want to take on the house you’ll need to opt for a 10-20 litre machine. Some dehumidifiers offer a fancy digital screen where you can access settings like power and timers. Others have more basic manual controls. This is really a matter of preference on how comfortable you are with using either menu to interact with your dehumidifier. It will turn off when the water tank is full and needs to be emptied. Also make sure you vacuum first so that dust particles aren’t being sucked into the unit. Save money while enjoying this portable air conditioner; its dehumidifier function makes it an air conditioner and dehumidifier all-in-one!It can easily be moved from room to room with its castor wheels for energy-efficient spot cooling. Its silent operation allows you to place it in any room without the distraction. It's the perfect solution for your cooling needs! Comfort for up to 500 square feet. LED backlit remote included. Best of all, you can set your thermostat to save on energy costs. What You Get This is due to changes in the test procedure, not to the portable air conditioners themselves. I made the giant mistake of taking the risk. I bought two others from different brands which turned out great. This was the DUD. At first it worked out great - it was easy to set up, easy to install, and easy to get going. But less than 3 months in, it only blows hot air. You get sporadic cold air, but mostly air hotter than even outside. To make matters worse, I still have 2 easy pays. You've been warned, avoid Delonghi. It was easy to assemble and has been working just fabulous Im very satisfied with my purchase. It does blow nice cool air; however, the cool air is in constant competition with the hot, and I do mean hot, not warm, air blowing out around the hose connections (and yes, I do have it connected correctly) and radiating out from the hose and the connections. The hose is like cheap dryer hose. This is a huge, poorly designed, expensive piece of junk! Does not cool when it is 98.No refund by hsn or manufacturer NOT IMPRESSED. These convenient, easy to operate items offer unique features and stylish good looks. But, if you don't, just send it back. You can return most items within 30 days. When the water bucket is full, the unit WILL not continue to operate REGARDLESS of what drain method is being used. What this means is that even if the unit is setup for continuous gravity drain or drainage by way of an internal pump, the unit WILL not operate is the internal water bucket is full (or not installed properly). This drain setup relies on gravity to work properly. This will prevent water from draining due to the pressure created by the standing water. Adjust the hose end positioning accordingly. Improper installation of the drain hose adapter may result in the unit continuing to drain into the bucket, or not draining at all. Also, check to make sure the bucket has been properly reinstalled into the unit. There is a safety switch that engages when the bucket is removed that is active until the bucket is re-installed properly. If the sensor is not properly engaged, the unit will not activate the pump. What does it mean. This is because the air will be uncomfortably dry by the time it does reach 20 RH. That said, it is very unlikely to get this low even with regular daily use (depending on the ambient temperature and humidity levels). Reusable Filter Like all dehumidifiers, the performance will decline if the filter is allowed to get dirty. Delonghi have recognized this and provided easy access to the filter which simply slides out of the back of the machine. It can only be cleaned with a vacuum cleaner and washing it with water can damage the filter. On the one hand, it is a quiet, easy to use and small unit. But on the other, it is lacking the fine-tuning and controls we’d expect to see on a unit in its price range. It is a powerful unit, but for us, is just slightly too expensive for what you get. So if you’re thinking this unit might be for you we recommend checking out its closest (and slightly cheaper competitors at the time of this review) such as the EcoAir DD122 mini or the Meaco DD8L before settling on the DNC65. The reason I decided to purchase another humidifier was because I almost ruined a nice pot by forgetting about the water boiling on the stove. After that incident, I knew I had to find a better solution when the air in my home became too dry. I didn't want one of those humidifiers that heats the water and leaves your house steamed up. I wanted something more in line with a natural evaporation system. Vornado Humidifiers deliver cool moisture the same way nature does. The wicks also trap minerals and other water-borne contaminants, providing clean, healthy moisture. The self-regulating evaporative technology insures you won't over-humidify the air. That makes it more cost efficient in the long run. What I love most about this design is how easy it is to take apart. You simply lift the fan portion off the unit. Then, you can easily clean the base. This makes more sense to me. The wicks (which you can replace easily every three to four months) are treated to inhibit the growth of bacteria and the plastic parts naturally will resist the growth of water borne contaminants. The 2-gallon bottles keep water in the storage containers, so it remains clean and safe. While you can set this on the high setting, I appreciate the lower almost silent setting. This is perfect when you put the humidifier in the bedroom. Not only does this have three settings, it also has a humidistat with a max to low setting. If you want to move this unit, do remove the bottles first. I move it from the upstairs to the downstairs with ease. It is very light. The bottles have an easy to fill design which is a nice feature. The wide-mouth, funnel-shaped spout fits nicely under the faucet. Physicians do recommend humidification for children and adults to help soothe dry, scratchy throats and to alleviate congestion due to colds and allergies. To maximize this, I recommend purchasing essential oils and dropping them on the top of the humidifier.
