Al D. 5.0 out of 5 stars They were an amazing value then, and I paid substantially more for them than you can get them for now. The sound quality isn't audiophile good, but its a huge upgrade from most computer speakers, and the wireless connectivity of the rear speaker is extremely convenient and works beautifully.http://www.dpscnadia.org/userfiles/3g3jx-manual.xml

The bass delivery is awesome and it also has an adjustable bass dial that allows you to quickly turn it down when the little ones go off to bed. They have great surround sound, and quality construction. On the other hand, since I have owned two sets of these, I can safely say that the rear 'wireless' speaker never seems to work, no matter how hard I try. My second set (the first set went out), has served me well for about 2 years now, and is just now starting to go bad. Glad Dell finally pulled these off the market, but I still wish there were better options for Dell branded speakers to choose from now. The A525 model was a much better choice over the WL6000.There are countless complaints from people all over who have bought this speaker set only to have it start crackling horribly about the time the warranty runs out. There in no support for it.and nothing you can do. You end up just getting screwed!!!!! The absolute worse speakers I have ever bought in my life. If there is anyone out there who has a set that has worked longer than 1 year. PLEASE come forward and share your secret to success. Dell even deleted my comments for a recall on the forum!!! STAY away from these speakers! Teresa. Could be a simple RCA connector.Second, disconnect the rear speaker and subwoofer from the power source and wait about 5 minutes. Third, be sure the power switch is off on subwoofer and the center speaker. Fourth, plug in the power for the subwoofer but DO NOT turn on the power yet. Fifth, plug in the rear speaker power cord. Sixth, turn on the swtich on the subwoofer (this is the start of the resync mode). Seventh, turn on the center speaker power and the system will change the rear speaker system LED from flashing blue to solid blue in 5-8 seconds. The surround system is functioning again. You may test this under sound in the Control Panel but I would prefer to use a modern music CD that has Dolby Digital Support for 5.1 sound or better.http://www.ises.ca/phpsites/vertical_living/uploads/3g3jv-a4015-manual.xml YOU WILL HEAR INSTANTLY THE SOUND DIFFERENCE WHEN THE REAR SPEAKERS ARE CONNECTED.Its best to replace them unless you know how to disassemble and re-soder the connections.Right click to reinstall drivers click start control panel sounds and audio, volume, advanced, speakers select appropriate speakers also audio you will find 3 drop down lists make sure you have made the correct adjustments there click start control panel sounds and audio devices you can adjust the volume there also select speaker volume you can make adjustments there you can also tick in the box place icon in taskbar hope this helps If it's within warranty, I'd try sending it back under warranty. Otherwise, start shopping around.A lot of people have this same problem and find that downloading the appropriate sound or audio controller fixes the problem. You can do this by searching for 'Dell WL6000 sound driver downlaod' or 'Dell WL6000 audio controller download'. This should fic the problem. However, for me, is did not. So I did a bit of reasearch on the internet, and found that actually, there is no way of restoring sound on the computer; not even re-installing windows, or a new windows package. I tried this, but it didn't work. This is becazuse once the sound is gonefrom the computer, it is permanantly gone. What you have to do, is purchase a new sound card. Hope that helps, pennywise25.Answer questions, earn points and help others. Something went wrong. View cart for details. All Rights Reserved.
