The writing style is easy and whether you are experienced or improving you will find there is plenty in the book to interest you and the whole narrative is so much better than the dry Users Manual that comes with the camera. I guess if you are buying this camera, or have it already, that you will not be a total novice but the writing style manages to be informative, without talking down to you, or talking above your head. Not an easy feat. I particularly like the logical and clear way the various functions of the camera are detailed. I also like the Settings Recommendations with explanations as to why you may want to follow them. I also like the recap and conclusion at the end of each section. No. Has it made the camera easier and more fun to use. Having read the book on the D7100 I immediately bought this book on the D810 when I bought that. This book takes you through the hundreds of settings on this professional camera (yes I did write hundreds). To be frank I do not know how you would ever understand the settings without a book of this nature, especially if you are new to these types of camera. The book is of a very high standard and easy to follow. If you have one of these cameras I would highly recommend that you get this book. Please try again Make no mistake, the Nikon D810 is a fantastic camera but it is very complex and can be difficult to set up properly to get the most out of it. Darren Young explains in superb detail how to do this; he clearly knows the camera very well. I'd scratched my head more than a number of times before picking this book up, and great it's available on Kindle too. Moving from a D2X the D810 was still a big change and Mastering the Nikon 810 has helped me to set the camera exactly how I need to for maximum results. Darren also explains the intricacies of the Nikon Multi-CAM 3500 FX Autofocus system in great depth.
