First thing is to check you have the correct apn settings as shown here The phone is capable of working with O2 3G so try the settings first and come back if they don't work (make sure you follow the settings accurately) and reboot after saving them. The Motorola G is nearly twice the price and does not take an SD card and comes without a charging plug. Cubot P6 has come with a very brief introduction leaflet which says more about what you can do rather than actually how to do it, Though never spent much time reading manuals anyway. Opening the back is not easy and it does not work well with the sim card upside down. Yes I am that kind of idiot. However I am new to smart phones and so far feel I am making good progress. But having the 5 inch viewing screen is nice. The leaflet says it has 6 cameras and a camcorder, not clear what that means presume it has 6 functions. Next task is to log into google play and download the app for automatically logging into BT fon hotspots so I can keep down my mobile usage sorry giffgaff. I was disappointed to find it did not have an alarm clock function, but seems I can download an app for that too. This is my first experience of the world of apps, its all new to me. The other down is that it only has one kind of english so presume it cannot spell colour correctly. It does have a plastic case, but I have a leather protection case on order. Big down for me is I am used to a flip phone, and did like the fact that it answered the call when you open it. Keyboard passable, but I have ordered a bluetooth one, because I am a touch typist and using one finger will annoy me also ordered a chinese on in the hope it will be compatible. Just found my car has usb power point, great. Mine has a 1.5 GHz chip, his the more usual 1.2GHz. It does everything I want. Battery life is OK and you get a spare battery. The biggest drawback for me is that sometimes my phone will not switch from wifi to data (My son does not have this problem) without a reboot. The body is plastic too. Why pay more? It has dual SIM which I find very useful. The camera is at the high end of average. WiFi set up presented no problems at all. Instructions and menu structure are well Laird out and clear. Down side - the wallet it comes in is poor quality. I have just got back from a week climbing in Scotland where I carried my S308 throughout rain and shine. It has been knocked around in my pack and suffered no problems. The biggest negative is battery life which is around 24 hours before it needs a charge. From 10 to 100 takes about 5 hours. Overall considering its very reasonable price I would happily recommend it.Getting some really nice pics now. It is a matter of touching the screen at various places until you like the light setting. And also fiddling with the settings. I suppose that auto ought to be better but now I am in control I love it. Why pay more they are great. It came with many good apps preloaded, and I found a couple more I liked by reading reviews on websites. After that there was still 1GB memory free - but that's irrelevant because I fitted an SD card to keep all my files and I recommend you do the same - then if the phone ever dies you still have your photos, downloads etc (bitter experience of earlier phones). My previous phone was an iPhone and even with jailbreak it was a hassle living in the walled garden. It's really easy to move files between Cubot and a Windows XP laptop by USB. I believe t-e-t-h-e-r-i-n-g is easy too though I would never do that because it is not allowed. Battery life is very good (days) unless you use Google Maps (which hammers the radio getting data all the time just in case you might want details of some nearby business) or talk on the phone non stop (well all those prepaid minutes are a bit of a temptation). If you can't see how to do something Google is your friend. I've tried tocover most of the points raised by previous posters, and hope this helps a few of you. Sets itself up, I had no problems at all. It has two SIM card slots, however,the second slot can also hold a micro sd card. It does not support 4G, but that is not a problem for me. It had a screen protector fitted and also came with a slim clear hard case. Flip cases are harder to find, but I have now got one. You can download and use all play store apps. I also have a xiaomi phone, which is also brilliant, and it is even rooted, which the Cubot is not. I recommend either. They were both around ?110. Which for all the features, is brilliant.It is very difficult to get a space battery. Every cubot has a different size battery and I got three before I got the right one. Gone for an elephone instead now. I think it has been a fantastic deal for the money. I have had it for 2 months. 4G works perfectly, as does Android Lollipop. The only complaint I have is that the camera is poor compared with the HTC. These phones are brilliant value if you aren't brand conscious. When the battery starts to struggle in a year, I will buy the newest model, chuffed not to be tied into a long contract with a phone that barely lasted half of the contract.Great phone.
