The IH Cub Cadet was an entirely new line of heavy-duty small tractors using components from the previous Cub series tractors. In 1981, IH sold the Cub Cadet division to the MTD corporation, which took over production and use of the Cub Cadet service manual download brand name (without the IH symbol), to present day. There were also a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available, including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. From 1947 to 1964 the smallest Farmall tractor produced was the Farmall Cub. It had a 60 cid 4 cylinder engine that ran at 1600 rpm and later at 1800 rpm. It weighed about 1,500 pounds and was intended for light duty work; a variety of implements made specifically for it. Production was about 203,814 units The first Cub Cadet model made was the International Cub Cadet Tractor, better known as the Original. The Cub Cadet Original was powered by a 7-horsepower Kohler engine and was made between 1960 and 1963. Ironically, the Original Cub Cadet didn’t employ a totally direct drive transmission which was what later became the big selling point of Cub Cadet Garden Tractor PDF service manual. Instead, it incorporated a belt that ran from the flywheel to the drive shaft to turn the three-speed transmission. This system was necessary due to the way the engine sat on a platform above the drive shaft.http://saeronbio.com/userData/board/emachines-e627-user-manual.xml

Put a good battery in it and preliminary tests (screwdriver across terminals) indicate the solenoid works, starter spins. But the solenoid feed wire is only putting out one volt. I checked the seat safety switch and it's got continuity. What other safety switches are hidden on this beast. And does the brake pedal need to be depressed when starting. I did try it, but that didn't help either. It's not a service manual but might have some troubleshooting suggestions you could try. Good luck. Transmission works good, fwd and reverse. But the deck has issues. When I engage the PTO the blades bog the thing down and vibrates pretty bad. I greased the spindles but that didn't improve anything much. Gonna order new spindles and blades. Maybe the idler pulleys too. There appears to be some extra blades on each of the other blades. Some kind of mulching blades maybe? The PTO tends to be troublesome and the switch is the usual culprit. Reverse while mowing will do the same thing. PM me for some knowledge there. Anybody seen extra blades bolted underneath the stock blades? Somebody's been doing some good ol fashioned southern engineering on this thing. Besides the the extra blades in the deck, there's a toggle switch on the dash that when turned on, locks in the PTO clutch so it can mow backwards. I was going to do that anyway, but the extra blades have to go. Are all Cub Cadet spindle bearings the same size. Gonna put those in too, and some new blades. Belts look good. They are taper bearings and these decks produce a great cut. The only problem I had with mine was the deck clogs up with wet or heavy grass and they need frequent cleaning. Perhaps the 2nd set of blades was to abate that. The deck itself looks great. Great machines but the interlocks are a witch! They do fail too. (yours won't I would presume) Just tired of welding the deck back together. Steering gear is shot. Front end wobbles like a Walmart shopping cart. Transmission getting hard to shift. Parts are gettin hard to find. Friend of mine told me he had this Cub sitting in his garage for years and hadn't used it since he bought his Dixie Chopper Zero turn. He also has a four wheeler that needs the carb rebuilt. So basically I got this Cub for free for a simple carb rebuild. I couldn't pass it up. So far, I've gotten the Cub running, but there's a heck of a vibration in the deck and it really drags the motor down when I engage it. SO automatically I figured it was the spindle bearings. Hopefully you're right and the spindle bearings are fine. I'll go through the whole thing this week and see what's up. I'd do it today, but unfortunately I have this job thing I have to spend time at. Thanks for the parts site. Best one I've seen so far. PM me your email and I'll set you up. I powerwashed the tractor and the deck. Popped the belt off and spun all the pulleys, and you're right. Spindle bearing are fine. The idler pulleys OTOH, spin ok but their noisy as heck. Bearings sound dry. Gonna go ahead and replace those. They'd probably be ok for a while, but while I have the deck out, I might as well take care of it. Belt too. But now I'm pretty sure those extra blades have something to do with the vibration. Also have a couple cans of POR-15 left over from a previous project, to cover up the rust on top of the deck where water grass and dirt collect. Hold times are long. The spark plug ignites the fuel and air mixture in the cylinder to power the engine. If the spark plug is burnt, fouled or damaged the engine may not start or may run rough. This treat I didn't get to finish the yard. The plastic gear teeth in the wheel are worn to nubs making the sweeper useless. Mine are as bad as the other pictures posted, no sense In posting more. To make matters worse, nobody has any replacements. Im not surprised Agri-fab has a link to their parts arm of the company on the front page. I'm so disappointed in this product. I will go out of my way to make sure nobody else purchases one of these lemons. Should have painted it yellow. Doesn't matter it's made in America, it's junk I have a cub cadet zero turn lawn tractor with the engine in the back, so I was not able to use the dump bar, so I attached a rope and it works just fine. I can't say how much I love this sweeper, I have around a dozen huge oaks so the leaves are plentiful, I don't even have to get off my tractor, I just pick em up and dump them, easy as that. I did notice that the stitching at the bottom of the back was separating, I called Agri-Fab customer service and had a new one in two days at no charge. I would recommend this sweeper highly.great machine, great company! Ease of tear down for storage and assembly for use took me less than 5 minutes for each. Well made and I anticipate many years of use. Product support, which today unfortunately is an after thought with a lot of manufacturers, was outstanding. I purchased the sweeper on a Friday and upon assembly noted that one of the brush sets was damaged during shipping and handling. As part of the product registration, I submitted a customer service request. I received a response first thing Monday morning and received a new set of brushes on Thursday. Now that is customer service!! Metal on plastic is designed for failure. Plastic teeth are COMPLETELY ground down to nothing in less than one year. Total crock! C'mon folks, design the wheel with METAL teeth. I am sure everyone will pay EXTRA for something that works!!!! Very frustrating. I love that this product is made in the USA but think our engineering should be BETTER !!! I started to use it with the sweeper level fairly high; within a half an hour there was a grinding noise coming from the wheels. There was little shavings of the gear all inside the wheel. I put it back together and continued to use it and within another hour (I have a large lawn), the gear was completely worn down and wouldn’t spin the sweeper at all. Its Saturday so the customer service department isn’t open. I will contact them when they open and hopefully they will make this right. When it was working it was a perfect addition to my lawn care tools. I hope Agri-fab can make this right. In autumn these trees dump copiuos amount of dry leaves and dry twigs. It used to take me over 5 hrs.I still have to rake around the trees and close to the fence. But the collection and disposal takes just about 5 hrs. It is less strenuous. Disposal is a breeze. I have had this for over 3 years and never regretted owing it. Assembly, dismantling and storage is easy too.BUT 10min in using it the brooms fell off the shaft on one side. These are installed on the unit when you get it SO I would say give them a check when putting it together. She did not tell me to So i say her fault. But factory should look at that with lock nuts they should not have fallen off. This thing works great, cleaned up acorns and hulls from the squirrels, almost like a vacuum.
