cts awd manual transmissionWe saw, we test drive, we bought. He even worked with me on his The dealership also provided financing. Highly recommended. He listened to exactly what type of vehicle I was Even though I eventually purchased elsewhere. I would highly recommend Interstate Ford and will contact them again in the future if my I was even contacted after showroom hours and allowed to look at the vehicle that same night. Caleb was great Best experience I've had at a dealership. Would definitely recommend! They were friendly, helpful and attentive. The whole car buying experience was easy and smooth. I ended up buying from a different dealer on a completely different vehicle but can appreciate the speedy reply. But they do not participate with my pre approved lender. The sale person said that they would call me back when the truck arrived at the dealership. Apparently it never arrived so I had to purchase elsewhere. Not helpful at all and I will not purchase anything here! I wanted to know more about the car Through 2007, we've seen three noteworthy engine revisions. The CTS then upped the ante to 3.6 L and 255 hp in 2004, and introduced 2.8 L, 210 hp engine in 2005. Look for future models to feature a standard 3.6 L powertrain with either 258 or 300 hp. Overall, reviewers like the CTS' style and ride. However, Cadillac could do a little better on the details, including road noise and lack of quality interior materials. Brands like Lexus and Jaguar have been doing this the last 5 to 10 years, but the brand that took it upon itseThis midsize luxury sport sedan requires greater attention to the details, but gets the fundamentals exactly right. After all, over 30 million shoppers use CarGurus to find great deals on used cars and new cars in their area. Historically, it was priced similar to cars on the compact luxury spectrum; but it has always been sized closely to its mid-size rivals. The third generation competes directly with the mid-size luxury cars. Initially available only as a 4-door sedan on the GM Sigma platform, GM had offered the second generation CTS in three body styles: 4-door sedan, 2-door coupe, and 5-door sport wagon also using the Sigma platform — and the third generation was offered only as a sedan, using a stretched version of the GM Alpha platform. Bob Boniface and Robin Krieg designed the exterior of the third generation CTS.It was the first Cadillac to be offered with a manual transmission since the 1988 Cimarron. The CTS was designed as a replacement for the Opel -based Catera. In Europe, the 2.8 L replaced the previous entry-level 2.6 L engine. For the 2005 model year, the Getrag was replaced with an Aisin AY-6 six-speed. As the LS6 was phased out, the 2006 and 2007 CTS-Vs received the 6.0L LS2 V-8, which carried the same HP and torque ratings (with peak torque coming 400 rpm sooner). The use of a V8 engine required a unique engine cradle distinct from the base CTS V6. Larger anti-roll bars and larger shocks were also added. The spring rate was significantly increased. The 2006-2007 update also included a stronger rear differential and half shaft design. Brakes were 13.97 in (355 mm) rotors in the front, with 14.37 in (365 mm) rotors in the rear - each with four-piston Brembo calipers on the front and rear wheels. In addition, GM badges were added on 2006 models. For performance enthusiasts, a high performance suspension package (RPO FG2) was available as a dealer installed option. From 2004 and 2005, the CTS-V came with the 5.7 L pushrod OHV LS6 engine producing 400 hp (298 kW) at 6,000 rpm and 395 lb?ft (536 N?m) of torque at 4,800 rpm. The 5 lb?ft (7 N?m) torque reduction of the CTS-V vs the LS6 used in the C5 Z06, was due to the exhaust manifold that needed to be used on the CTS-V.http://www.centerplac.com.br/datamont/userfiles/elna-2300-owner-manual.xml From 2006 to 2007, the previous LS6 engine was superseded by the new 6.0 L OHV LS2 engine as used in the base 2005 Chevrolet Corvette. The new LS2 engine was rated at the same 400 hp (298 kW) at 6,000 rpm with the peak torque of 395 lb?ft (536 N?m) at 4,400 rpm. While both engines offer the same HP and torque specifications, the LS2's benefit was a wider torque band, due to the higher displacement it offered. The rear axle was a Getrag limited slip IRS unit with a 3.73:1 ratio. The first generation CTS-V also posted a lap time of 8 minutes 19 seconds at Germany's famed Nurburgring Nordschleife, competitive with rivals such as the Mercedes-Benz E55 AMG, BMW M5, and Lexus IS-F.Other changes included a revamped exterior, with a new, larger grille, slimmer headlights and taillights, side air extractor vents located forward of the front doors, and new nine-spoke 18-inch wheels, surrounding larger high-performance brake calipers and rotors. Available features on the second-gen CTS included a Bose 5.1 surround sound system, GM's Stabilitrak ESC system, a tire pressure monitoring system, a navigation system with real-time traffic and weather data, an integrated 40 GB hard drive for music storage, swiveling headlights, and remote starting. As a result, a small batch of cars which had already been shipped to Australia were transferred to New Zealand and sold via selected GM Holden dealers. The biggest change was to the engine. Although kept the same 3.6-liter displacement, the V6 was able to produce 323 hp (241 kW) while dropping weight thanks to some modified engine internals. The coupe's unveiling surprised the media and public, stealing a great deal of attention away from the CTS-V. In November 2009, the production version was unveiled in a press release. The standard engine was a 3.6L direct injected V6 rated at 304 hp. Like the sedan, both six-speed manual and automatic transmissions, in either RWD or AWD configurations, were available. The CTS Coupe was discontinued after the 2014 model year, and the CTS-V Coupe discontinued after the 2015 model year.A CTS-V version was added for 2011.The rear-wheel-drive platform is the basis for the 2008 to present Cadillac CTS base model with which the CTS-V shares most of the body work. The suspension features coil springs front and rear. The front suspension is a control arm arrangement while the rear is an independent multi-link suspension. To improve the handling and comfort, the 2009 CTS-V uses BWI Group's MagneRide technology. The front brakes were increased in size to 14.567 in (370.0 mm) ventilated discs with six piston Brembo fixed calipers. The rear brakes are 14.37 in (365 mm) ventilated rotors with four piston calipers. Steering is speed-sensing hydraulic-assist rack-and-pinion.The engine is produced in GM's Silao, Guanajuato, Mexico engine assembly plant. The crankshaft is forged steel using powdered-metal connecting rods. Pistons are high-silicon Hypereutectic Aluminium alloy replacing the forged aluminum used in the LS9 engine. The compression ratio is 9.1:1. The cylinder heads are based on the Corvette's LS3 head and are cast from type 356-T6 Aluminum alloy. The exhaust manifolds are cast iron. The supercharger is a twin four-lobe screw compressor -type unit displacing 1.9 L (116 cu in). It is Eaton's Twin Vortices Series (TVS) generating a maximum boost of 9.0 psi (62.1 kPa). Intake air is cooled with a water-to-air intercooler built directly into the supercharger unit. The manual is a Tremec TR-6060 six-speed transmission with a short-throw shifter, twin disk clutch and dual-mass flywheel. As customary with award winners, the magazine acquired a CTS (in Vsport trim) for a long-term test. Its verdict lauded the car's driving dynamics and reliability but criticized its CUE multi-media interface.V-Sport models will continue to use the 8-speed Aisin TL-80SN. A new 3.6L V6, the LGX, replaced the 3.6L V6 LFX.It weighs 4,145 lb (1,880 kg).For the 2015 season, the CTS-V was replaced by the Cadillac ATS-V.Retrieved June 8, 2013. Cadillac believes appearance is everything and the deft product placement in this summer's slickest sci-fi extravaganza may grant the luxury brand more youth appeal than Led Zeppelin's entire back catalog could accomplish. Though one may dispute that statement, we’re sure many readers will agree that shifting with three pedals and a gear lever heightens the experience behind the wheel to totally different heights. Unfortunately, with the proliferation of lightning-quick automatic gearboxes, not to mention declining take rates of vehicles with manual transmissions, the stick is becoming increasingly less popular. But Cadillac will do its part in keeping the stick shift alive, at least for the foreseeable future, thanks to at least one upcoming V-Series Blackwing model. Namely, which Cadillac V-Series model, or potentially which models, will receive a manual transmission. Going forward, we have reason to believe that the only Cadillac V-Series model that will offer a manual gearbox would be the next-level Cadillac CT4-V, which will be called Cadillac CT4 Blackwing (or Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing). As a refresher, this model will slot above the standard CT4-V as the range-topping performance model, adopting the Blackwing name as Caddy spins it into a sub-brand. Frankly speaking, it doesn’t need one. After all, competitors like the Mercedes-Benz C-Class, which is a direct rival to the CT5, do not offer a manual transmission in any model variant, while selling extremely sell. In fact, no modern AMG-spec Mercedes vehicle is offered with a manual transmission in North America, but that’s beyond the point. He loves anything and everything on four wheels. Hyundai’s new active shift control in a manual instead of a hybrid could speed up the synchros and maybe delete a physical reverse. I’d love to see the VSS-R gen of models with a transaxle manual and a Nissan GTR style AWD. The scale from a wide alliance can only help and reduce the need to rely on Tremec only. Looking for a car and Lathan was a big help. Great service. I don't know a lot about cars a be he broke it down perfect. It will take time to put them to good use but they are there when I need them It is sleek and turns heads. Offers a lot of options and conveniences. Heated and cooled seats and steering wheel is awesome. He was able to intelligently answer all of my questions and was focused and engaged throughout the buying experience. What started as a discussion regarding rim repairs for my preowned 2015 GT ended up with me rolling out of the lot with a brand new 2016 GT, all thanks to Roger. Tremendous salesman! Plush interior and dash like a spaceship. COMFORT!!Quality and craftsmanship. That’s all! I contacted this dealership for a quote. Received an email back from angel gomez right away with a quote that was lower then anywhere else for a new 2017 CX-5. I went to Schaumburg Mazda before this and had a terrible experience. Wilkins listed there car as new AND IT ACTUALLY WAS NEW, not a loaner with 2200 miles on it or a car that employees have been driving with 6k miles on it. I worked with Ed Chwal who was incredibly easy to work with, very knowledgeable and most importantly did not bs around. Save yourself the headache and just go see Ed. Call angel before going too. These guys made the car buying experience actually enjoyable which is rare. Plus the price was right and the miles are very low. It's got it all!! I upgraded from a 2011 and the improvements are magnificent! Ryan agreed to meet me at a time that was not congruent with his schedule, but was ideal for mine. This was very much appreciated! No road noise. Performance is good also. The color was out of the normal, which we love. I was interested in a vehicle listing I found online, but a little nervous about it being an out of state purchase. I contacted the dealer via phone, and spoke with Tom Ambat of used car sales. Tom reassured me that he has had many deals out of state and not had any issues in the past, putting my mind at ease. He was very helpful, kept a good line of communication, was very prompt with getting the paperwork to me, and he made the entire purchase process seamless. He went above and beyond to make sure all my questions were answered. He also helped coordinate transport of my vehicle from the dealer in Illinois to my driveway in Pennsylvania. I received my car within one day of it being shipped and I couldn't be more happier. Excellent vehicle, excellent dealer, and excellent staff. I highly recommend Fields BMW. Thanks for everything! It is comfortable and relaxing to drive the most comfortable vehicle I’ve ever had awesome driving experience RJ was my salesman, and I contacted the company through a listing on a major auction site when I saw the listing. The price was extremely fair, the process easy and the vehicle in absolutely stunning condition. It was perfectly described and exactly matched the photos. They arranged shipping from greater Chicago to Oklahoma City, and it was efficient, on-time and extremely reasonable. Buying a car site-unseen as a retail consumer can be a gamble, but the guys at United Auto Exchange have by loyalty. The AWD is a beast in the snow which is important with me living in Buffalo. I shopped for a particular used car for a couple of months. I got pretty good at the pricing and I had a lot of conversations with a lot of used car sales people. The guys at United Auto were far and way above all in expectations. It will be awhile, but I look forward to doing business with them again in the future and I will send all my friends and family. Thanks again! Though the example I found was 6 years old at the time (2012 model), it was a perfect example of the CTS-4 coupe with the performance package, with 13,800 miles. The negatives? I would like more power (my dream would be to have a CTS-V coupe, with the V-8 and stick -and with AWD for all season performance -but they never built it). I would like a stick (not available in the CTS-4). Thankfully it is not used often. The trunk is good sized, with a good sized opening. The problem that you soon find is that 25 of the trunk is unusable because of the arms on the trunk hinges taking up a GREAT deal of space as the trunk lid is closed. You have to carefully stack items in the center of the trunk to avoid these zones -only to have the contents tumble into this zone when you open the trunk, requiring you to re-arrange things before closing it again. I never liked the grille design on the CTS, preferring the wire mesh grille of the CTS-V. Due to a different fascia, it is not a bolt-on exchange. I found an aftermarket company that makes a CTS-V style set of grilles (upper and lower) that are designed for the regular CTS. I am much happier with the front end styling with these in place.A great car for long trips, but still fun on twisty roads. The AWD gives you performance in all conditions. And, after a number of foreign cars, it is nice that your local GM dealer or corner garage can service it for a reasonable price. I found the car on their internet ad. The car was just what they said it was. Joey was very nice. I drove 100 miles from Wisconsin. It was very nice not to be disappointed. Some minor glitches with the electrics, but overall a great car. Love the 420 horsepower, Brembo brakes and different driving modes. It’s a sports car with a back seat. We recently took a long road-trip and had no issues with staying comfortable. Since this car is AWD, the gas mileage isn't the absolute best in the city, but it does well for the highway. The interior is nicely designed and I love the heated leather seats! We looked at a couple vehicles and did not purchase as I wanted to shop around mainly due to my skeptical nature and expectation of finding better vehicles and deals elsewhere. After i visited at least 7 dealers and drove over 10 trucks I ended up back at 355 auto as it was clear their inventory was as advertised and pricing very competitive. Many vehicles look great on internet pics but upon 1st hand inspection and test drive are far from advertised and quite frankly junk. Just because a vehicle is used doesnt mean it should be trash. 355 inventory is as advertised and no xxxxxx business with the staff. Michael(sales) was a very respectful young man who did a good job showing pickup truck vehicles and following up with me. Frank(mgr) was completely transparent with the truck I was interested in and feel like the deal was very fair for a good condition older vehicle. In fact, I had a couple concerns that Frank had addressed immediately without hesitation which turned out very minor and corrected with zero hassles. I am not one to write reviews but in this case was so very impressed with the staff at this dealership, the inventory is really good and I trust that my son has been put into a safe and reliable truck. I would recommend to anyone to check these guys out if you're in the market for a used vehicle. Thank you 355 North Great service, Josh Galiher was great. I will definitely bring my truck back for additional service. I'm still learning all the wonderful things my new car can do that makes my driving experience the safest, fun and all around best car on the road. My car is so smart, it makes my driving super safe. He coordinated shipping to SD within 2 weeks and took care of every little detail. His involvement did not stop there. He has promptly provided help and assistance in answering any questions I have had post-sale and delivery. Please ask for Jack if you need help buying your dream car My credit is pretty bad but these guys made it work. Karina was amazing and did not push me to buy the car like any other sales person world. Bought 2016 BMW 435 I’m really happy. Beautiful exterior and luxurious inside. Performance is more than enough to get you onto highway and zip through traffic. The only complaint that i see for some people would be the access into rear seat. BUT who buys a sport coupe to haul the family around. I am very satisfied. Miles was great to deal with and there was no pressure or sales tactics. I was able to take a test drive and it was a very positive experience. Thanks auto showcase!!! It has such a classy look on the outside, and has all of the amenities on the inside. I especially love the heated seats, and the quickness with which they heat up. I feel safe driving this car, and when accelerating, the car has no problem making the transitions. It's a great car that I hope to have for a while! Stock tires are junk, get better ones (not runflats). Buy from a dealer who has a service department just as good as their salesperson, and vice versa. Any issues you have after purchase, both will have to work with you Unlike other dealerships, I did not feel pressured at all by my salesperson, Jesse. He was kind, patient, and very knowledgeable about my vehicle. He took a lot of time to explain the car to my technologically challenged self. I'm very excited to have purchased my first, long awaited Cadillac from Jesse at Arnie Bauer! Used to always having V-8. Surprised by quickness of this beauty. Too small, and lousy visibility. Bought this pre-owned, 9,K miles. So far, no complaints, runs great, looks fantastic. Yeah, it's a little small on the inside, but, when I stand on it, the sound and the feel, make up for that. Good enough for me! In both cases, Schaumburg Nissan was excellent. Phil Panzarella asked what we were looking for and directed us to the cars that fit our needs. We were able to pick out a car, test drive it and start the purchasing process in about 45 minutes. Phil was nice enough to set up the bluetooth and walk my daughter through the functions on the car. Shoutout to Anthony Miceli and Paul Ketz who were also very helpful. The finance guy was great to but I don't have a card with his name, unfortunately.Decent mileage for the great acceleration and power. Other taxes may apply. But apparently not many enthusiasts are interested in pursuing this opportunity, as InsideLine reports that the manual transmission option will be dropped from the 2012 CTS 3.6. Wait, didn’t we just go through this with the SRX ? Does the transmission involvement matter less in a vehicle of the CTS’s size (I never missed it when I drove an autobox V, but 556 HP helps with that). For all the work Cadillac has done to promote the CTS-V as a brand halo, it will want to understand why that halo isn’t helping sell enthusiast-oriented, non-V CTS models. I thought there was only the automatic when it was released a few years ago. No one should be surprised enough manual transmissions were not sold to justify continuing to offer it. Let’s face it, probably 98 or 99 of CTS buyers would not want the manual tranny if the car was free. Even manual BMWs in my neck of the woods are fairly hard to find. 2) Apparently Caddy did itself no favors with this particular unit, which wasn’t too hot to use per the reviews I read. 3) Cars in this class have at least a “manumatic” transmission that gives the drive a lot of the stick shift “flavor” without having to shift all the time, and a car like a CTS is quick enough to begin with that the automatic doesn’t make the car feel all that much slower (the opposite of, say, a Corolla). Subies, G35s, 4.6 Mustangs, Wranglers, fun stuff all of it. And every one of them was replaced with an automatic something else inside of 5 years. Not because they retired, forgot how to drive and took up golf and levitra instead. But because driving a stick in the traffic that’s omnipresent everywhere that income scales support buying new cars simply isn’t fun. Yes, more trouble than an auto, but, actually, at least a little more fun. I dare say that even many ENTHUSIASTS such as readers of this blog even fall into this category. Then, if only they knew how to use the gas pedal properly they’d be laughing. (I’d explain what I mean but I can’t be bothered but there is a real skill involved that goes way beyond the superficial and obvious). I didn’t think it was that hard to operate a stick-shift vehicle smoothly in suburban driving, but I can’t tell you how many people I’ve encountered with sticks who have the jerkiest, sloppiest, most nausea-inducing “driving techniques” around. (And given the way they rev, I doubt they’re saving much gas either). In other words: if you can’t actually shift like Schumacher, buy a slushbox and shut up. Your passengers will thank you. The Camry and Accord 4 cylinders aren’t really in the same class with respect to luxury and refinement; plus they are FWD. The Acura TL AWD is available with a 6-speed, but the styling has made it a bit player in this market. As CAFE ratchets up, fewer and fewer manuals will be offered as manufacturers take advantage of the option of gaming automatics to spend all their time on the EPA test cycle in high gears, making for cars that perform like Janet Napolitano in the real world but give them an advantage on their CAFE report card. I wonder who is driving these things and how??? It was only a matter of time. Sure, you can still get a six on the 3.0, but that motor sucks. And the CTS-V, I’m sorry, but I just don’t care about halo cars like that, even if they’re available as a wagon. The street cred of offering it at all has got to be worth something. The silver that you mentioned is made especially bad by the expanse of beige. Any one know the numbers? 3.0 vs 3.6 sales? The problem is they don’t offer the 3.6 in the lower trim levels, so the cheapest 3.0 is considerably less than the cheapest 3.6: I do a ton of driving in traffic, and we have an MR2 with a stick. Better performance along with the easy driving in traffic. I’ll likely be buying again within the next 12 months. Alas.... Is there even such a car any more. Something like an Infiniti EX might be perfect, but no MT is offered.Off the top of my head the CTS-V is the only premium manual wagon available (but only in expensive V spec obviously). The A3 is ok, but you’ll be in what is basically a FWD car with a bit of AWD, it’s not going to feel rear driven by any means, in my opinion the GTI makes more sense or the upcoming Golf-R (twin to the TT-S), but neither is what you are really looking for. If you do get stuck with a haldex (from any brand) you can always upgrade the system to lock sooner and send more power rearwards, but again, not ideal. From what I recall last year saw an uptick in manual transmission sales overall, but I wouldn’t be suprised if most of that growth took place at lower price points than this. I konw more and more people buying manual Subbies, VW’s and Honda’s, but the upscale buyers I’m exposed to are almost universally slushbox operators. Yes, it is a compromise, but its really not a bad compromise. Performance is better and its not simply an automatic with “flappy paddles”, you can do all the same things with the DSG that you do with a regular manual, except slip the clutch at launch. Thats pretty much my only complaint, off-the-line take off is not as instantaneous as I am used to. Manufacturers spend a lot of money developing a solution like the DSG that appeals to most enthusiasts, and still meets the needs of the drivers who dont care, they just want an automatic. They dont HAVE to do that, they can just stick a regular auto-box on there and really wont lose much market share. If you were Canadian you could get a Golf “highline” which has leather and lots of options and if you were European you could get what is essentially a Golf “estate”, which has a longer overhang in back for a bigger cargo area. Of course, it’d be FWD. Sort of goes to the point that the manufacturer doesn’t seem to feel the need to offer US buyers these variants of a car that’s already sold in the US. Face it, we’re in an an automotive “first tier” market when it comes to volume and “second tier” or lower when it comes to flavors. This sort of thing goes way back. Ever seen a MT Mercedes 300D.CTS without V is not an enthusiast’s car. BMW,s start assist works well by the way, with the manual. In the past we’ve been treated to repeated choruses of, “You say they won’t sell. Well, I’d buy one!” Yeah, right.
